When I login to Hulu.com, I am returned a white page that says, "403 Forbidden nginx" And the address in the URL bar is, "https://auth.hulu.com/web/null//null/welcome". However, if I change it to http://hulu.com, I am presented with my homepage. I shouldn't have to type hulu.com into the address bar. It should take me there, automatically when I click "Log In". This is happening in Firefox on both a windows 10 machine and a Linux Mint machine. why?

Hello Mozilla community!

yesterday I installed a program which installed adware (I overlooked a little checkbox). It also changed a couple of settings in my standard browser (Firefox) like the search engine etc. It also changed the homepage. I always had the homepage pointing to my YouTube feed. I changed it back to it using the about:preferences#home method. Under "Homepage and new windows" I set the homepage to my custom URL and the home button works perfectly fine. Yet when I open a new window (with ctrl+n, not a new tab!) it also displays my home page (YouTube). It has never done that before and I cannot find anything in the settings to change that. I tried looking in about:config with browser.newtab but didn't find anything that seemed related to my problem. A couple of weeks ago I tried Firefox Nightly and I started it up and the homepage worked fine AND it didn't display it in a new window. It only did this after it synchronized the data with my Firefox account. Now my question is: How can I remove the the Homepage from a new window (and replace it with an empty page or the Firefox Home)? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Kindly Jay

p.s. I attached the Troubleshooting Information and I'm using Linux

I just turned off AdBlock Plus in the Add-Ons screen and downloaded ublock origin to try it out. There is no icon for this new plug in to be found anywhere. I can manually go in and change the settings on this plugin in the add-ons screen but there is no icon anywhere to go in quicker or to show a report of how many items were blocked. When I try to Customize my toolbars, the icon is not available there either. The nearest threads I can find on this topic are from 2018 and their solutions are very basic use. Yes, of course I restarted the browser. TIA.

The "View History Sidebar" command is missing from the History menu after updating to Firefox 87. Is this a bug or was it intentional? The Bookmarks menu still has the "View Bookmarks Sidebar" command.

While I found it possible to work around the issue via Customize and adding the "Sidebars" control, this is quite unintuitive and awkward to have to use two different buttons in order to access your history. (IMHO, the History menu should just show the full history to remove the need for the sidebar, but that's a separate discussion.)

## Creating separate Firefox profiles on different user accounts

Hello,

I am wondering it this is possible - I have a Windows 10 laptop that needs to be upgraded to V202H and I am told that the upgrade will probably delete all of my current programs and settings - including my Firefox install and all bookmarks. To help recover from that, I wanted to know if it would be possible to set up an alternate Firefox in a not often used local account on my Windows 7 laptop and then sync the two so that after the upgrade, I can download Firefox again onto the Win 10 laptop and then sync it back so that I can get all of my bookmarks and settings for FF back onto the Win 10 laptop.

I don't want to sync it with the Firefox that I use in my regular Win 7 user account since that has a separate set of bookmarks and settings that I wouldn't want to change. I just wanted a way to "hold" all of the Win 10 Firefox stuff and "reinstall" it, and had thought that sync might be a way to do that.

If that won't work, is there a way to transfer the entire FF profile over to a new install on that laptop once it is upgraded?

Thanks for any help! Much appreciated!

Can someone please tell me why Firefox has remove Page Info on the right click?

Sense Firefox doesn't have a setting to set all cookies to "Allow for Session", I have been doing it by my self on every page I see. I right click, select Page info, go to permissions then change "Set Cookie" from default, which is "Allow" to "Allow for Session".

I read their update page before I updated, and no where on the page do they mention removing page info and for what reason.

Does anybody have an idea why?

Today I clicked on the library icon, chose 'bookmarks', and discovered that there is no option to view the menu of bookmarks that could previously be opened and viewed in a sidebar. Now I can choose 'search bookmarks' but will have to remember what all I've saved and cannot scroll through to see what's there. This does not work for me! Is there a way back to the menu?

I cannot take a screenshot, the drop down menu closes when attempting this.

After installing the Native MathML extension (to get MathML typeset equations on the Wikipedia, as suggested on mediawiki.org), all equations set by MathJax/MathML turned to using STIX instead of Latin Modern. I'd like them to stick to Latin Modern instead.

The only possibly related setting I've found is font.name-list.serif.x-math in about:config, whose value is Latin Modern Math, STIX Two Math, […]. I tried to manually change the font family specification of some text to see if Firefox could use Latin Modern Math to begin with, but apparently it can't (see first screenshot attached), while it loads STIX allright (second screenshot). Latin Modern is not the first locally installed typeface I haven't been able to use, but it's the first one I have really tried to (I don't remember which one the other typeface was).

My Latin Modern font comes from TeX Live 2019 installed using the TUG installer, not Fedora's package manager. fc-list | grep -i "latin modern math" returns /usr/local/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/fonts/opentype/public/lm-math/latinmodern-math.otf: Latin Modern Math:style=Regular. I'm running Firefox 87 on Fedora 33.

Hi So my problem started a few days ago i don't remember exactly when. The graphs on the binance exchange site have stopped updating for me on Firefox. I mean when i load the page with the graph in it the graph is static and i have to keep refreshing the entire page to see changes in the graph. I should mention that the graphs on a different site that i use work fine and display the prices in real time.

I also had microsoft edge and the same problem happens there too but today i installed chrome and the problem in NOT present there. So the site and graphs update and work properly in chrome but not in Firefox or edge. I prefer to use Firefox for everything!

-I tried Firefox safe mode and the problem is still there. -I also made a new Firefox profile and the problem is still there. -Finally i even refreshed Firefox but even that didnt fix the problem. I should mention that i have Firefox sync enabled so after i refreshed Firefox it automatically installed back all my addons (and other settings?) so even though it is refreshed it looks and behaves exactly like before i don't know if that "cancels" the effects of the refresh.

I am running win10 and my antivirus is kaspersky. I had Kaspesky on "pause protection" while i was troubleshooting but that didnt help either. I hope i managed to explain everything because i find it hard to express my self in English. If you need me to clarify anything let me know. I hope someone can help me with this because I don't know what else to try.

Either I'm a dork or the instructions that I have found are not very clear. I have been trying for several days to transfer my settings from my desktop to a new laptop. I have gone to the %appdata%\mozilla\firefox\profiles page until I'm blue in the face. I transferred a directory called "m80s2e9e.default" from the profiles directory on the desktop to the %appdata%\mozilla\firefox\profiles directory on the laptop but keep getting "Firefox profile cannot be loaded" error. I'm trying to find an answer to a question about Thunderbird. I type it into the "Find help..." box. I get a page with a small number (maybe 10?) results. The first page of results doesn't seem to help. Neither do the next five pages. I suggest letting users choose the number of results per page. Being forced to click the "next" link on every page is slow and tedious. Hitting the "Page down" key on my keyboard is much faster, partly because I don't have to use the mouse.

Today, I started getting this error on many sites, including Google.com and YouTube.com. Example below when trying to connect to google: Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.google.com because this website requires a secure connection.

What can you do about it?

www.google.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

If you are on a corporate network or using anti-virus software, you can reach out to the support teams for assistance. You can also notify the website’s administrator about the problem.
