No bookmarks, says in use by another application. Tried all troubleshooting ideas Can't change name or delete places or favicons - again says in use by another application. Disabled all add-on security.

I am running MacOSX 11.6.8 and have just recently had my Firefox browser update to version 146.0 and it now has a problem with content playback: whether on video or usic, YouTube or Tidal or any other streaming service, whenever playing back content it stops at 2 minutes and 8 seconds, displays the buffering wheel, and doesnt come back on its own. If I hit pause and then hit play again, it starts playing again fine. But then after 2 minutes and 8 seconds it stops again and I have to restart it again. And again. And again every 2 minutes and 8 seconds. This is a very odd problem, is anyone else experiencing this? It is very annoying.

Download not adding a number to like files when saving. For instance (mycardexp.doc if I download the same named file tomorrow mycardexp.doc it use to add a number like mycardexp(1).doc FF has stopped adding the number showing that multiple files by the same name exist and how many.

Is there a way to hide bookmark names? I have several bookmarks that I keep in the bookmarks toolbar, and I can keep more links there only if I were able to hide bookmark names. I know what the link icon goes to, I just want the space without having to reduce the names of the bookmarks to a few letters. It would be even better if the name I set the bookmark to would appear when the mouse hovers over the link icon.

Any suggestions for Firefox being really slow? Slow loading webpages. This has been going on for about a month. Maybe longer. I have the same issue in Troubleshoooting mode. Firefox is updated. Cleared cache and cookies. Rebooted. On a Mac laptop.

I keep using Safari and I'm about to more over permanently.

I can't get into my Yahoo Email account, and keep getting, 'try again' which I've done repeatedly, then 'check internet connection' which seems to be fine, then to 'make sure Fox Fire has permission to enter', which until today I've thought they have always had because I've never had this problem before, so what could problem be today, and how do I fix it?

Why are you NOT clearing browsing data. I click on clear browsing data. Temp Cached files goes to zero. When I open a new browser that data still remains. I insist that you clear data for real not just for show!

Hello, for quite some time I have been encountering an issue where the scaling of browser elements gets broken when I unplug my Mac from its dock/external display and then being using Firefox using the built in Retina display. This only impacts Firefox and renders Firefox completely useless until I quite Firefox and reopen it. It impacts all open Firefox windows. The attached screenshot explains it better.

So I'm on Firefox ESR 140.6.0 on debian 12.12 but I've noticed this problem with firefox in general (earlier versions) on Linux. When I am browsing with a few tabs open (4gb of memory on this laptop) suddenly on reddit or some random website, quite at random, everything freezes and I have to restart the laptop.

Crash reporter doesn't start because the tab doesn't crash instead the entire laptop freezes - it happens only in firefox. How do I debug this problem? I think for some reason firefox gobbles up all my memory perhaps and that causes Linux to lock up.

What do I do about this - it is quite frequent and frustrating but random - I can't say exactly when or on what site this will happen.

I opened my computer several days ago. Firefox updated itself sometime recently while my laptop was closed. Once I opened it, it made me create a profile to continue. Now ALL of my history is deleted. All of my windows and tabs are gone. There is no history beyond the profile it made me create to continue using it. Is there any way to get back the previous history? This is about enough to make me give up on firefox completely.
