Search suggestion cannot be disabled

I have firefox set up so that it does not suggest anything except for my bookmarks.

So when I type in the address bar the only suggestions that come up are my bookmarks, no other suggestions.

For example when I need to translate something quick and want to go to the bookmarked page for google translate as soon as I type "trans..." it will suggest the link, Which is what I want and expect and is efficient.

But as has happened before, now I get a random suggestion coming up first so I have type more just to get to the same result otherwise I end up following a link to a suggested site which is at best aggravating.

I checked my seeting and there is one box ticked in the search suggestion settings that I cannot disable. I have tried and it always comes back.

How can I fix this?

I recently had to factory reset my computer and had to download and sync my firefox account all over again. It's been a week and firefox is still syncing, none of my bookmarks, add-ons, history or top sites on the new tab are showing up. Thankfully, it appears that most of my passwords have been synced.

I've read some other threads for tips and can confirm that I don't have this account logged in to other devices and I don't have a vpn or proxy running. I am able to obtain the sync logs but I have no idea how to read it.

How can I make the bookmarks, add-ons, history and top sites sync faster?

I reinstalled my computer from scratch with Windows 11, before this reinstallation I had Windows 10. Now I noticed that with the newest Firefox version 109 (that I also had before with Windows 10) and Windows 11 my multirow bookmarks toolbar doesn´t work anymore. Before the reinstallation it worked with the following code:

I already tried some other codes that I found in the internet but none of them worked. I have this code in the file userChrome.css, this file is in a chrome folder and this folder is in my profile folder. Can anybody tell me what I have to do to make the multirow bookmarks toolbar working again?

I found a really unusual behavior.

If I close Firefox using the "x" at the top right of the window, the Windows default for close, it does not restore session no matter what I do. I can manually go to the settings, history, recently closed windows, and restore them from there, of course - but that is a definitive hassle.

Strangely, even if I open up a new tab less than 2 seconds before I hit the X to close, it will not restore the session but does indeed save the new tab to the previous.jsonlz4 file, and makes that available via going through the settings menu.

What is oddly more unusual is that if I close Firefox by way of ctrl-shift-q, it works fine (opening Firefox after ctrl-shift-q restores the session without any extra intervention required).

How do I make Firefox recognize closing via the bog-standard-since-windows-3.11-for-workgroups X in the top right of the window as properly closing/quitting?

In reference to my previous post ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1382198?page=1 ) I have noticed that the "jumping while scrolling" in the Facebook News feed has returned after a couple of months of proper behavior. Ver. 108.0.2 It's not as bad as it was but it seems to be getting worse.

I've recently switched back to Firefox from Edge and have run into a frustrating issue.

When I try to print documents from Firefox, the "Color Mode" in the print settings is grayed out so I can't select B&W.

This same problem exists both on my MacOS laptop + my Windows 11 desktop. Additionally, they are connected to different printers on different networks. It also occurs whether I'm trying to print a PDF or anything else in Firefox.

Based on this, it appears Firefox is the culprit here.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

For a long time Ive been reading my newspaper in the browser but recently I noticed that the resolution has been changed text is blurry and images unclear. If I download the file and read it with ADOBE PDF Reader it is as normal, sharp. I guess there is a setting that has change with one of the resent updates but I cant find it :(

I cant say when the resolution changed but it was round New Year / Christmas ....

I have auto update on.

Hi, can you help? I can't access morphy richards website from my phone and my pc through Firefox. I can access it through Microsoft Edge on my pc and my Samsung Internet app on my phone but not through my Firefox app or windows 11 Pro desktop pc. I get this message on my pc

and this message on my phone through the Firefox app

Steps I have taken is clearing data, history and cache on pc, turning off mcafee firewall. I use my pc through a wired Internet connection and my phone through Wi-Fi and data and it's the same on both I can't access the website. Like I mentioned I can access it no problems through Microsoft Edge on my pc and Samsung Internet app on my phone so I have now pinpointed it to Mozilla Firefox being the issue, also this is the only website I have issues with. I just installed Firefox on a new Windows 11 desktop computer. I ported my profiles over and it appears everything came over EXCEPT: - Themes aren't working. I've tried switching them and they still don't display. The menu bar is black w/white letters; the toolbar is gray with white icons/letters. - My extension icons are there...sort of. If I hover over them I can see the tool tip but the icon doesn't appear on the toolbar which is light gray in color. I can live without the themes if I have to. Not so much the invisible extension icons. Any suggestions as to how I can get them to appear as they do on my Windows 10 desktop? Screen cap below. Cursor is hovered over the Undo Close Tab extension icon but where's the icon? Any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot this will be appreciated!!

Hello, I was using my headphones for watching YouTube on Firefox but then I unplugged them and the audio has stopped playing. I thought the issue was with the volume of my speakers, but the audio worked on any other app. So I plugged my headphones again and I could hear the audio from them. Anything I can do for fixing this (I even restarted the PC but the audio only plays with headphones)?

I am unable to sign into Microsoft 365 services in Firefox. When I try to sign in on the Microsoft 365 Website, it doesn't sign in, it simply redirects me back to the website. When I try to sign in from the Outlook login page, I get an error page saying "500 Something went wrong. Repeating redirects detected." Screenshot attached.

1. I was able to sign in with another browser. 2. I was able to sign in on a device running Windows 10. 3. I have cleared the entire cache and history on the Firefox browser - it didn't work. 4. I tried logging in with Firefox in Troubleshooting Mode - it didn't work.

I saw an archived thread from 10/28/2021 where @OthelloBloke had the same issue ("Microsoft 365 Signin on Office.com Doesn't Work After Windows 11 Update"). It didn't seem to have been resolved. It has been a while since Windows 11 came out. Has there been any resolution to this issue? Please help me fix it. Most of my activities are on Microsoft 365, and I prefer to use Firefox as my browser. But if this is ongoing I will need to abandon this browser in order to access my work.
