I have two computers. Both sign into the same Firefox account. Both instances of Firefox are the same version (134.0.1 64-bit).

On my main computer, creating a new tab is set to Firefox Home (default), and clicking the "+" sign to create a new tab results in the recommendations appearing as seen in the first image (firefox_2025-01-19_17-42-57.png)

On the other computer, creating a new tab is set to Firefox Home (default), and clicking the "+" sign to create a new tab results in the recommendations appearing as seen in the second image (firefox_2025-01-19_17-43-57.png)

How to I get both instances of Firefox to do the same thing when creating a new tab, i.e. organize the recommendations like the second image?

I updated my desktop browser today and now there is an expandable sidebar at the left margin of the window showing tool icons for Tabs from other devices, History and Customize sidebar. I can see how to remove tool icons and how to expand or collapse sidebar but can I remove the sidebar completely? Is this an option? I prefer the old look with the browser web page content extending all the way to the left of the screen, without the narrow vertical sidebar.

For several months I have been getting all these woke "news" popups from Firefox in the bottom right corner of my PC screen. I use firefox as my default browser and don't feel like uninstalling, but soon I will have to because it is so annoying when I am trying to play a game and firefox comes along and tries to brainwash me with its woke agenda. I mean, today it's giving me a popup telling me to go plant-based for a month, WHEN IT'S LITERALLY CARNIVORE MONTH. HOW DO I REMOVE THIS BULL****!?!?!?

Hi. I did a clean install of Windows 11 yesterday. I reinstalled Firefox with the TreeStyletabs addon. I had saved the old sessionstore files so I thought it would be easy to get my tabs back.

Two things happens.

1) If I copy over a sessionstore.jsonlz4 to the profilefolder, it gets overwritten byt FireFox when I start the browser. 2) If I don't do that and instead click History and then Restore Previous Session Firefox will use the previousjsonlz4 and restore my tabs . But I have to do it everytime I start Firefox. It does 'remember' what I did.

How can I fix this?

I've been using Firefox for a few months now to follow online training courses or videos on the conversation papillon (www.conversationpapillon.com) and conversation santé (www.conversationsante.com) websites. For a few weeks now, the videos are no longer accessible on the pages of these two sites. The window of the video is empty. However, if I try the same link in Google Chrome, it works fine. I've contacted the publishers of these two sites, who tell me that nothing has changed on their sites in recent weeks. He advised me to contact you to find out more. Can you help me? I prefer to use Firefox, which protects my privacy better. Thanks in advance. Regards, Jean-Pierre R.

Also, in Settings, Firefox is selected as the default browser, but the option is greyed out so that it is not possible to change. I've disabled all add-ons except my password program, tried troubleshooting mode, and restarted.

Hello. In the past two days I lose my tabs when I shut down Firefox. I used to be fine using the X at the top right and when I restarted the browser, all my tabs would still be there. Then they started going missing, so I started using the menu option to exit the browser. The tabs still went missing.

Then I noticed the square icon button on the extreme left and have discovered that Firefox has different windows, and that one of them (see attached image) has all my tabs in it, while the current window does not.

I cannot change Window 2 to be the current window. There is no obvious function on the page, nothing in settings and google is useless - I just get pages of discussion of how to tab between different apps on the desktop.

How do I make Window 2 the current window? See image.

Thank you

I had a background image for the new tab page that has suddenly stopped working, it just displays a white screen. I clicked the 'reset to default' button next to 'Wallpapers' on the new tab page to try to fix the problem but nothing happens. No wallpapers show up under that section either where it used to be when it was working. I've restarted Firefox and the same thing happens. I have not enabled any third party CSS wallpaper.

Apart from that, everything else is working as it should. I'm sort of a computer-idiot so if anyone could please use layman's terms it would be very much appreciated!

I've been using and enjoying Firefox for years on my various Windows machines. I've just purchased a Ubuntu Linux Thinkpad and have installed and used Firefox for a few days. It's generally working well except at start-up. Apparently it tries but can't restore the previous session, even though I have not selected "Open previous windows and tabs" ??

I am using lastest version on Windows and Linux (133.0) but I did notice the settings/options are a bit different in Linux, but I would just like to set my Linux FF to do same as Windows FF on startup, that is just two open tabs: - Gmail opened as a pinned tab. - Google Search as the open tab with focus I've attached a snip of the relevant section in General Settings How do I set this up in Linux? Thanks in advance

Hi All,

I need open local exists files

file:///.../index_details.rst or file:///.../index_details.txt in my default system editor.

This has worked pretty well last in version 127. (https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/127.0/linux-x86_64/en-US/)

But after v127 Firefox always opens files directly (see screen). I can't find any settings to change this behavior. Something has been changed.

I keep back the firefox upgrade so long it was posible for me but 127 is now old and i use the last version 133.0-1.

I'm using Linux (Debian).

Thanks
