Good Morning, Please how can I add or take out in firefox the icon shortcuts with most visited sites that I use, Also firefox is adding by itself shortcuts to my opening page and I don't want to have more than 6 or 7 or firefox suggestions. Thank you for your help

The New Tab Page is a fantastic tool. Are there any plans to allow more than four rows to their layout? I would benefit greatly by having 13 rows. Might there be any plans for that?

I don't know what to say. One day I had one row of frequently visited icons below the search bar in the middle of the page and the next day, they were gone. Any help, greatly appreciated.

Had to recently reset my browser and lost all my history. Apparently it messed up my custom settings in some way as well.

New Tab still shows my FF homepage with shortcuts and history gone - I've managed to get those back but with one huge problem:

- Clicking on a shortcut opens it in the same tab, whereas earlier I had it working when clicking on a shortcut would open it IN A NEW TAB.

Where's the setting in about:config to fix this???

If this feature has been removed - why???

Hi. I have done a cleaning with CCleaner, so not sure if it affected firefox, but now the new tab page doesn't have my shortcuts any longer nor any buttons to add them. I had 4 rows of my most used ones. Now I only have the "recent activity" 2 rows....but they don't seem to fill in either...not sure what went wrong. in my settings the shortcut button is ticked. Is there a way I could revert to firefox that I had a couple of hours ago, to see my shortcuts back? I am not technical, so don't know what to do. thanks.

One day there are no shortcuts on my firefox homepage, none show up when I open a new tab. In my settings, it shows I have set to allow 3 rows of shortcuts, but there are none! This is so totally inconvenient and I have spent hours trying to sort it out, so I might be bailing on Firefox as my default browser.

Some google search suggestions mention "clicking on the plus sign" to add a shortcut. THat opens a new tab but does not relate to shortcuts.

This is a snip from my Chrome homepage, with shortcuts. I used to have 3 rows in Firefox. Now there are none, and there is no plus sign to add one.

I noticed recently that my 'Add Shortcut' button has disappeared. I've been through other articles and they were of no help. I have 4 rows selected for shortcuts so theres no reason for it to be gone.

It has re-occurred to my Firefox Browser of the latest version of 115.30 with some websites which I have recently visited however which have appeared 8 grids of blank or white pages again under "Recent Activity" as attached with the image for your technical troubleshooting suggestion.

Those 8 grids of Recent Activity in the older version of Firefox browsers used to have shown colorful graphics or images representative of the recent websites I visited in the recent past.

May I know what I am supposed to do to recover those graphics or images?

Kindly offer any suggestion or solution?

I installed Firefox on a fresh Win 11 install, and most of the the favicons are still generic on the Home Page several days later. Facebook, Ebay and Youtube are the only ones that appear consistently, sometimes other will display, but then be gone again the next time the app is launched. All other links just have the generic letter icons.

I tried deleting the 3 favicon files in the Profiles folder, but it did nothing. I've tried manually re-adding the links, still nothing. I removed the "S" from "https;//" and still nothing. The favicons all show up on my other machines which use Firefox on the same user account, so it is not a problem with the websites themselves.

Not sure if its related, but upon installing Firefox on this machine, it made Firefox on my Mac desktop absolutely freak out. I had to make a significant number of changes over the course of hours to fix everything, so many relating to favicons alone that I don't know what actually fixed it.

What else can I do to try and get these working? Why does Firefox apparently struggle with this particular feature across multiple OSes?

Today, all of a sudden, I lost my usual browser window that displayed all my bookmarks. The browser window looked completely different in a bad way and I have lost quick access to my most familiar sites. Moreover, the page displays sponsored ads, none of which is either of my choosing or of my liking. I am completely disoriented and Firefox has greatly disappointed me. Please help!

Hi community The option to set, how many rows of shortcuts should be visible on the Firefox start screen, is a good idea. E.g. I set 3 rows and fill them with relevant shortcuts. The shortcuts in the bottom row always changes when I visit several websites. My understanding is: Setting the shortcuts as necessary and that's it! Wtf happens, that the last row changes all the time, that makes me fussy. regards wolf

I live in Las Vegas. Why does M Firefox post the wrong city with the weather at the top right corner of my browser window? It will not allow me to change it either. I drop it open, change the zip, press "enter" and it remains Tuscon.

I read the FAQ about this feature. I read this about whether the stories are personalized to me:

... When personalization does occur, recommendations rely on a process of story sorting and filtering that happens locally in your personal copy of Firefox.

But there is no place that tells me how to turn this off if I don't want the stories personalized to me, and I do not want them personalized. The algorithms make assumptions about what I want to read and learn. But I want to be free to encounter and learn things that I might not otherwise come across.

How can I avoid being pigeonholed and limited in this way?
