WIN XP. Have checked file association settings and pdf files are directed towards using Adobe reader. Completed uninstall of FFox31 and icons changed back to Adobe. Cleaned computer and carried out clean install. Icons remained as pdf for two restarts and then changed back to FFox icons. Everything works normally but the icons remain as FFox. Have set FFox application options to 'always ask' temporarily. I have a second WinXP machine that has upgraded to FFox 31 without this problem. Strange!

I want >NO< Mozilla ads. Can't you can't arrange that? Please! I've already been working to waste far more attention on this than I should have. >NO< Mozilla ads should be the default, not an automatic waste of time.

This problem started with your latest version. If it can't be stopped with this version, may I please have the old one back?

One thing your decision-makers don't seem to realize is forcing time grabs like this on customers ANNOYS them.

Moreover, Mozilla should pay its volunteers for having to take the bleep for its inappropriate decisions.

This has been happening a lot from about version 28 onwards. I don't know why this is occurring, firefox used be a stable browser which hardly ever crashed.

- I'm using version 31,all plug-ins up to date & set to click to activate. - No themes & about two extensions. - Hardware acceleration is disabled, the browser has also been reset at least once or twice. - The crashes still happen. Here are the five most recent crash reports :

Strangest thing yet, trying to figure it out!

Oh, I tried the reboot without add-ons! Even did the reinstall, still the same???

I'm having a problem where I'm getting logged out of websites automatically every few minutes. It doesn't matter what the website is (Facebook, email, forums etc.) once I've logged in, after a few minutes of browsing I'll be logged out again. I've tried re-installing Firefox and have cleared my cookies/cache multiple times but it's still happening. I've been using Firefox for years and this is the first time anything like this has happened so I guess that it might be related to the latest update. Does anyone have any ideas?

Firefox v 31 and Windows 7.

Since Friday early, I got this: "Something happened on our end. Please refresh your browser or close it and sign in again." ... After I signed in again, I got this error: "We can't connect to Outlook.com right now. Please try again later."

What's new with outlook.com occurred overnight (Thursday). There is a now a Messaging section in the lower left portion of Home page, which slowly loads with icons of people (with names) that I know. I just checked the five icons in that section. I know two of the five names - and I'm not remotely interested in messaging any of them.

The reason I'm here is that outlook.com is accessible on IE.

Is this a Firefox/outlook conflict?

Can I remove this awful feature?

There is no information about downed servers, and as usual, no solutions for this very specific message at Microsoft.

Thank you.

This is what I wrote to the Microsoft Community seeking a correction of the issue (still no reply to my request for assistance with this matter from them):

Can I go back to I.E. 10? Ever since I installed version 11, I've had an unstable desktop. It appears to have damaged the Windows Explorer interface in other browsers, such that when I open the popup window to save downloads and/or other files, all that shows up in the window are the "Save" and "Cancel" buttons, but it does not show the interface to choose where to save the file(s), thus I cannot save anything at all in those other browsers. I primarily use Firefox, and every time I want to save a file, I have to startup I.E. 11 to save anything and everything.

I would much prefer going back to I.E. 10 which caused me no such problems; but, if I cannot go back to I.E. 10, how do I correct this issue so I can save files in other browsers? This situation has been going on for months now, and I've waited patiently thinking that there would be an update for Microsoft and/or Firefox (as well as Chrome and Safari) that would correct this problem by now; but, even though I have all of the latest updates and versions installed, no updates have corrected the issue at all. I would very much appreciate any help you can give.

Oh, also, I have tried uninstalling Firefox completely at least twice, and rebooting before reinstalling it to the latest version, but that has not corrected the problem either. I additionally tried turning I.E. 11 off in Windows, and then tried running Firefox to see if the download interface would be restored, but it still had the very same issue(s) [no ability to choose the place to save files, and thus being completely unable to save any downloads and/or other files]. I can't believe that this problem has been going on for so long now without any update(s) resolution.

I am a web developer and the website that I have built requires the user to log in to access it. Once the user logs in, they are prompted to have firefox remember their credentials like normal. If they say yes, it creates a record in the saved passwords section (tools>options>security>saved passwords) but the username field is blank. If you click show passwords the password is saved along with the URL...just no user name.

This site is using SSL if that matters. Any ideas?

The Firefox Help -> About menu indicates that there are updates available (I am currently on 31.0) but when I click on this link I am brought to https://www.mozilla.org/ga-IE/firefox/new/ I am using the Irish language version but the translation is: 'Congratulations, you have the latest version of Firefox' I know this is incorrect though as version 32 is available. So does anyone know why the Irish language page tells me that 31.0 is the latest version and how do I get Firefox to update to newer versions ? I have the Irish language version of Firefox also installed on a Windows 7 box and it has automatically updated to 32.0.1, so this problem seems to be specific to Linux.

Thanks,

Usjes.

1. Firefox has chosen to follow Google. Not always a good idea. They have a minimal notion of usability, at best. In this case, the new behavior is to reset the search-section in every tab. THAT IS TERRIBLE--at least, for me. (I work on a wiki. I always used Firefox for that, because I might have dozens of tabs open. I move from tab to tab, repeating my search, to make a series of coordinated changes. THAT IS NOW IMPOSSIBLE. So I might as well use Chrome. The advantage Firefox used to have is gone.

2. Updates are making interface changes without asking me, and ignoring my preferences. Recently, the menu bar went away. I have no idea why, or even when. (It was in the last few days.) Lacking a menubar, Firefox becomes useless to me, and forces me to move to Chrome.

3. When I went to the support pages, there is nothing there about restoring the menu bar. All it says is, "depends on your OS". There USED to be a page that told how to recover it...

The Firefox add-on Media loop is described as a "Menu item to control [HTML5] audio/video loop" - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/media-loop/. Media loop can be used to repeat HTML5 videos on any website, not just YouTube.

Can you to implement Media loop in HTML5 Videos Everywhere! and a Repeat button that uses it in Control. Refer to the red marked repeat icon located bottom right at the above modified screenshot?

HTML5 Video Everywhere uses Firefox native HTML5 player control bar, however, it has a repeat function but it must be enabled either from the context menu of from the preferences in the Add-ons.

So, basically the same problem as here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/998430?esab=a&as=aaq

Except for two key differences:

1. The solution provided in the URL above doesn't work. I've tried creating the file in the relevant location then closing and restarting firefox, creating the file in another location, closing firefox, moving it to the correct location, then restarting, and the same processes but with shutting down my laptop and restarting in between closing firefox and re-opening it.

2. The first time I open a new tab after opening firefox again, I get a super-zoomed-in view of the unwanted search bar with only a few pixels of the top row of tabs visible, and in an odd move, there's no scroll bar to let me view the rest
