I'm really enjoying tab groups, but there's a feature that seems broken. After restarting my browser, I'd like to reuse the groups I've previously created. It appears you've added a menu option for that: "Add Tab to Group" -> "Closed Group" Unfortunately, selecting that just closes the selected tab, rendering those closed groups permanently closed. I can go ahead and add my tab to a new group with the same name, but that creates a duplicate item under the "Closed Group" menu. After using the feature for a bit, I know how quite a long list of duplicate items under a totally useless "Close Group" submenu.

If firefox is closed and i click on a link in an email, 2 windows open. one blank and the other with my linked page. I can't find anything in the settings to change this. Before it did a similar thing but it was opening 2 tabs in a single window. One blank and one with my requested link. I recall chaning something that got rid of the 2 tabs opening but don't recall what and can't find anything. Apparently that change changed it from opening a 2nd tab blank, to opening a 2nd window blank.

I notice below that Firefox has incorrectly labeled my OS.

I don't know what happened. I must have hit the wrong button but I can't get back to what I had. This is a nightmare. I forced quit Firefox and restarted but it did no good.

This should be simple. Your site sends a message saying do I want to update MY TABS WILL BE RESTORED. It DOES NOT say I need to go through history and check forums and consult outside parties. I'll keep this in mind the next time a silly tedious update comes around.

Hi, I was a heavy user of the multi-account containers extension. Since FF now has that functionality built in I disabled the extension recently (more than a week ago). My company keeps FF up to date - currently on 153.0.3 aarch64

All tests have been performed with other extensions (ublock origin and auto-reader view) disabled.

Since the last update (last wednesday I think, 5th. Aug.) I've been unable to access the AWS or Azure portals from a container tab, though it works correctly from the 'bare' browser.

I've cleared cookies and site data for the whole browser (made no difference)

I've cleared cookies and site data for the container tab - this now allows me to sign into Azure (which is a prerequisite to signing into AWS), but AWS is still blocked with a microsoft message "We cannot sign you in, try a different user name"

If I use the bare browser, no container, I can sign into the AWS SSO portal correctly.

What can I check to help diagnose this? MacOS Tahoe 26.6.1 Firefox 153.0.3

I am unable to press new tab or even use Command T to open a new Tab. The New Tab button seems greyed out as if I've hit the limit for tabs, but I don't have too many tabs open. Not even the keyboard shortcut is working which quite surprising. I am able to create new tabs if I open a new window, so I am not completely unable to create new tabs, but i was just curious as to why this might be happening to my current window.

The plus sign to add a new window has disappeared. I search and went into Customize toolbar but there is no option to add the + sign back in. This happened previously and I was able to fix it. Now I can't. What is going on? what are you doing with firefox to make it so difficult to use. NOW I have to use chrome. I have been a loyal advocate for firefox for decades!

I have experience with chrome as i used to close the window then open i have my last session all the tabs occuring but in firefox im unable to do that even in settings of startup i have selected to open my previous tabs and windows but nothing opens just a blank screen also i cannot open recently closed tabs by command + shift+ T kindly help it is very annoying as i lose my presvous sessions again and again. Hi, My browser won't save the open tabs. I lost my tabs multiple times now, I don't even bother opening them back up now, but it's annoying. I have activated ( and disabled/enabled ) the setting to open previously open tabs on startup.

What can I do ? thanks

When checking out the new features the ' Learn More' link under Tab Groups directs to the article explaining Pinned Tabs, there is no way to get to the explanation about Tab Groups

If I have a pinned tab, but I close out of the browser completely, that pinned tab should NOT open there when I relaunch the browser. NO tabs should be opened when I relaunch the browser after it has been completely closed.

PLEASE provide a way to disable this annoying "feature" (i.e., bug).

Vertical tabs are a good idea. However to make a transition smoother special for those, like me, that have been using horizontal tabs for a life time (I was a Netscape user), can I suggest that the new tabs come on top instead of on bottom?

I could write a long motivation for that, user trend, psychological, etc, but I am sure you got the point.

Before the update, I could use "cmd+shift+[number]" to open a new container tab. Now, nothing works. "cmd+t" opens a tab with "no container", which is completely different.

I already tried going to "about:keyboard", but opening a new container tab isn't even listed as an option.

like in safari, i had pinned the websites (as tabs) i visit regularly.

when i restarted the browser, all tabs were gone.

i have been using this feature in safari since a decade and no pinned tabs have been lost.

please guide.

I tried unchecking and rechecking all start settings. When I close Firefox, it asks if I want to close all tabs - the only option is to cancel, leaving Firefox open, or Yes, which would close all my tabs and not reopen the tabs on startup.

My recent history is also missing.
