I can't stand Microsoft Edge. It's a CPU and memory hog. However, I must resort to using it when I watch a video from VUDU on any of my workstations. According to the fine folks at VUDU, Firefox is not supported in HDX or 1080i mode when using the VUDU site. According to the info that shows when you launch VUDU on a Windows device (in this case, Windows 10 or Windows 11) using Firefox, you get a message that the video is only supported in SD or 720 dpi mode. To get anything above SD mode, you have to use Microsoft Edge.
Is there a developmental issue preventing such use or is this a limitation forced on Firefox users because Microsoft does want you using anything but Edge?
It's just a bit frustrated to have to use MS Edge instead of my default browser, Firefox. For the record, I just checked to be sure. There's a marked difference in resolution between Firefox and Edge on the same video.
