When I go to Google.com, the cursor is in the Firefox browser's address field. And I have to click in the Google search field to start my search - if I remember to do so. Why can't the cursor just be in the Google search field?

I could search in the address field, but I'd have to highlight/delete the address. So it's easier to just click in the Google search field. But I rather just have the cursor be in the search field automatically. Is there a way to get that done? Or is that asking too much?

Yahoo mail push notifications stopped working around 5/25/23. I have Firefox v113.0.1 from the automatic updates. The notifications were coming, now they don't. Firefox still sends notices from other email services, and yahoo notices still work with other browsers.

How to I go back to the previous version of Firefox?

My FF id gets logged out whenever I restart my computer, due to which all my sync data is removed from that system. My FF id is used on 3-4 systems and 1 mobile but never faced such issue. Also the said problem of logging out is faced from last 7-10 days on only one system. Kindly help me out in the same.

For years this has been working GREAT! Then suddenly after a recent FireFox update, Pinterest broke again.

Used to Function:

• Logged into Pinterest.
• The browser stayed logged in.

Current Function:

• When I load Pinterest.com into a browser page in firefox, it looks like I'm signed in.
• When I attempt to "pin" something to pin (any of the methods available to do so--all 3 have the same result) a pop up from Pinterest appears, says "welcome back" and tells me to log in.
• At first this worked but annoyingly it asked me for every pin I wanted to do. It isn't h olding the session, apparently. Now, after a few moments of pinning recipes and other articles from my email newsletters I want to save for later, it says I've had "too many log in attempts" and am apparently blocked from Pinterest because of it for 30 minutes or longer.

I was logging in with Google. So its blocked everywhere (any browser, any device)

My profile folder get huge!

My FF gets slow, uses a lor of RAM & the profile folder size goes huge.

So, while trying to locate the folder content that can be deleted- I came across a folder named: "to-be-removed".

[ ... AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ <profile folder> \storage ]

1. What is the purpose of this folder? 2. Is it safe to delete all of it's content(to empty it)?

I put in the membership number and password as normal, and click log in and then it goes straight to apage which says

This isn't normal. There is nowhere to click to enable cookies. I can log in using Microsoft Edge. Something has gone wrong in the last few days. I have used this site with Firefox for years without a problem.

This is a weird issue that's been plaguing me for years. Only recently have I spotted the common factor.

On two Windows 10 computers, sometimes when I copy/paste a link in Firefox, my keyboard input language switches from Canadian Multilingual Standard to US English. On my desktop, I don't even have US English installed as an input method, yet it still switches to it. I've even made registry changes to specifically remove it, to no avail. Disabling the option to switch languages via keyboard shortcut also makes no difference.

This seems to happen completely randomly. I'll ctrl+c/ctrl+v a link and the language will change. Putting it back to CMD and ctrl+c/ctrl+v again and it won't change. The change only happens when I copy/paste a link from Firefox. Maybe one out of every 15-20 times on the large scale, but sometimes it will happen twice in a row, or not at all for a week.

Does anyone have any insight on this issue, or how I can fix it permanently? It's such a weird issue and it's infrequent enough, but every time it happens it feels like tripping in a full sprint. Very unpleasant.

Currently running 113.0.1 (64-bit), but again, this has been plaguing me for years. I first thought it was a Windows install issue, but it's happening on two different systems. Thanks in advance

I have Yahoo Mail+ and Gmail open in tabs (as well as MyYahoo, Yahoo Financial and Google Calendar) and both email systems intermittently declare they lose internet access. Sometimes they will continue to show current emails and sometimes not. I also have a second instance of Firefox running with MyYahoo and Start.me. All other apps on Windows 10 retain internet access as well as other non email tabs within Firefox. This does NOT happen with Chrome and the instances have increased in frequency so that I may have to switch back to using the Chrome browser. I test websites and need immediate access to email responses. I am willing to provide debug information, but don't know what or how I should report this condition. Until I get feedback I will be forced to utilize Chrome or (gasp - Edge) as my browser. I am using a Windows 10 system on an Device name Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 GX550 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10980HK CPU @ 2.40GHz 3.10 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Pen and touch Pen and touch support with 10 touch points

The game opens and appears to load sometimes with a welcome screen and then it does nothing and stays frozen or other times it tries to help the loading which does not work at all Then it sometimes appears to load and says "LOGGED IN" but the screen is blank. I have reported this repeadly to Facebook Farmville and Zygna to no avail. I did load Mozilla on another computer and managed to get the game to come up after an hour trying everything. I does not work on Chrome either. I got a message once that said it was s protocall problem that was being worked on. PLEASE HELP

I tried to change the download folder for Firefox inside "settings", and Firefox showed that the change did take, even after opening and closing the program again, but trying to download a file leaves me in the old folder again, as if Firefox didn't take what it showed it took. Also, Firefox keeps crashing when I try to download to the downloads folder. Not sure why. Clearing a few items lets me download again, but then, it will crash if I dare keep going. Is there a limit to how much can be in the downloads folder aside from the C drive itself? My C drive is showing 84GB free, in the blue, not red, so what gives?

Since the task limit option seems to have been obliterated? I believe the many more "programs" and the events they create for windows to handle is causing all sorts of virtual memory problems. Changing win10 advanced system settings from performance for programs to background services seems to have restored Firefox performance in my case, see: 10 advanced system settings win10 advanced system settings performance programs vs background services Is there an about:config option that would allow one to achieve the same "programs" limiting option as before? This laptop has 16 gig of memory and I used to successfully have even better Firefox performance with windows virtual memory turned off, but eventually I would get crashes. I can understand why Firefox was modified in a way to better localize the source of crashes, but in my case it has degraded performance. Thanks Mozilla for a great product I have valued for years!!!!

For Windows version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 If using Firefox Version 113.0.1 (64-bit) in Windows 10 and in the following state:

 Firefox is open and window is maximized.
 Firefox Full Screen is toggled OFF.
 Windows taskbar setting "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" is toggled ON.

Then the Windows taskbar will not display when the cursor is place at the bottom of the monitor screen. If the Windows taskbar setting "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" is toggled OFF. Then the Windows taskbar will also not display. Changing the ON/OFF state of any other Windows taskbar display setting in any combination does not fix the failure.

I recorded a webcam video from the Firefox browser and that video played in Safari browser. but the video is not supported in Safari browser which is recorded from Firefox.

Just curious, how is it that Firefox does NOT reace to the windows 10 display manager? All other app windows do what they're supposed to do whtn you use the "taskbar + right click" function to cascade windows, show windows stacked, and/or show windows side-by-side.

However, Firefox does minimize with windows + D (show desktop/show windows).

NB: Not critical. Just convenient when I have too many apps [10-12] running at the same time.

I cannot connect to Facebook using Firefox, but can connect fine using other browsers like Chrome. It used to connect automatically but now requires a password and although I enter the correct password Facebook does not accept it. When I try to change the password Facebook does not seem to receive or allow any changes. I assume it is a Firefox browser problem since I can connect using other browsers on both my desktop and cell phone.

Starting a couple of months ago, images do not load in emails sent by Constant Contact despite the domain of the sender being in Outlook safe sender list. This does not happen in Edge or Chrome or Safari. Interestingly, adding a new domain to the safe sender list will result in Firefox very briefly displaying images then refreshing with them removed.

Its misunderstanding of the feature :( afaik as is today Improve Youtube will use the subtitle language to switch on CC if its provided in this language by video author, it doesnt switch auto-translate. Ill look into making it enable auto-translate if requested CC is missing.

Today I noticed that all videos have Arabic CC ..... Mmm, the feature has returned to work again! without any interference from me In order... to make sure the reason...... I disable all my FireFox extensions, and it is surprising that the automatic translation is still working and I recorded a video to see for yourself how to work directly once you enter the video

I know that YouTube has options for displaying / enable auto-translate always ... but it is only for the English language .... I am talking about the translation of the Arabic language in all videos Sooooo A feature from YouTube itself or what? And if it was, why did it stop in the past four months, and now it has returned to work?
