Please tell me, in as few words as possible, how to disable update notifications. I thought Windows was bad, but they're not constant annoyance.

If Firefox would just stop closing discussion threads, and maybe, just once, answer a question helpfully, community would be able to help each other. Thanks, ML

I know how to clear site data for certain websites, but I would like to do the opposite - preserve site data and cookies for specific websites and delete everything else. It's not in options, perhaps there is an addon that would help me achieve this? Or how can I export (make backup) for a website that I could restore back after clearing everything?

I am sat in front of a PC for most of my day. Firefox spends most of its time minimised while I use document and video applications. On average the Primary password login box will activate over everything I am doing frequently - by frequently I mean 2-3 times an hour or more. It is annoying and nonsensical. What am I doing wrong or is this simply a flaw in firefox? In my imagination at least it makes sense for it to ask me for a password when I want to use a password restricted domain.

Hello,

I'm a regular user and I use 4 dozen addons to have mostly security features and a few other additional features.

Since no add-on can offer a toggle to change dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled within the GUI, I asked myself why. Some addon developer just mentioned briefly that it's not that easy to interact with the parameters of about:config.

Surely there are already dozens of concerns about this that lead to the decision of what is possible and what is not right now, but in this particular case it's useful - and some workarounds may be harder / heavier in code or may not be possible at all.

As soon as parameters of about:config can be easily changed, other add-ons could also use this feature and thus their code could be streamlined.

For example access to WebRTC, UserID or the Javascript setting or for accessibility.blockautorefresh, accessibility.typeaheadfind, app.shield.optoutstudies.enabled, browser.fullscreen.autohide, browser.newtab.preload, network.dns.disablePrefetch, pdfjs.disabled, network.http.referer.trimmingPolicy and many others that I didn't mention would be useful as addons to manage these on a site / tab basis!

So I would like to ask where to request something like this and how to properly fit it into the terminology that the moz:devs need to understand?

Many Thanks

Hello, im a web developer and have come accross a problem which only occurs in the firefox browser.

When i design a website, i use the www version of it always, and have redircts for all other instances, eg; mydomain.co.uk > https://www.mydomain.co.uk http://www.mydomain.co.uk > https://www.mydomain.co.uk https://mydomain.co.uk > https://www.mydomain.co.uk

So they all end up at the secure www version of the website. This is done in the .htaccess file and works great in Chrome, Edge, Explorer etc just not firefox.

In firefox i get the error

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to boothandco.com. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the web site, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the web site’s administrator about the problem.

Ignoring it then procceeds to the full https://www. but that warning screen will be enough to put potential visitors off no doubt.

Is there an "easy fix" for this or is the only way to solve the problem to use up more SAN's and double up on www and non-www versions of each website?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Chris

Recently I figured up that Firefox 90.0.2 (64-bit) doesn't open my website (https://e-expo.online/) It's very strange, because Google Chrome, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and Safari opens it perfectly.

But every time I try to reach my site Firefox shows me this: " Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to e-expo.online. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. " I didn't find any advice at the Internet of how to solve it. Can you help me?

Mozilla has no true feedback page any more, so I chose to post here. I kept the "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" box unchecked since I began to use the Firefox browser (years ago). While I was researching a different issue, I found other users' posts about app.normandy. They all said that it allowed Mozilla to do what Mozilla promised not to do: run studies in violation of users' preference to opt out. Based on what I learned from those posts, I found where app.normandy was in my computer's about:config and toggled it to false. I want to thank those other users for their posts. Mozilla's explanation, also according to those posts, is that "Normandy is a collection of servers, workflows, and Firefox components that enables Mozilla to remote control Firefox clients in the wild based on precise criteria." Aside from whether or not Mozilla should be remote-controlling clients in this way, does it really consider all the diverse places in the world where its users live to be "in the wild?"

Hi! I have the strictest anti-tracking protection enabled and have one question: Firefox prevents cross-site cookies by default, but if I install Firefox Containers, does that mean that those cross-site cookies will be allowed inside that container, even if they're not when browsing outside of any container? My concern is that, if that happened, using Firefox containers would actually diminish privacy instead of increasing it (for example, Facebook would be able to use Instagram cookies because they're in the same container, even though it wouldn't if I hadn't installed Containers). Thanks a lot! Love the Firefox community <3

I've used the "run" system and open the %temp% and deleted the temp files. It didn't delete the 137KB issue. I've used the "C:\WINDOWS\system32\cleanmgr.exe" to clean "windows C drive " and deleted more temp files. I've gone to "Settings" in Firefox and click on "Cookies and Site Data" and then click on "Clear Data" and that didn't delete the 137KB issue. What is odd about this there's no name on this file. The 137KB comes up at "Cookies and Site Data; "Your stored cookies, site data, and cache are currently using 137 KB of disk space". Could it be "BIOS"? It' been asking me to upload this software and I always click "later".
