Been using FF since 2005ish. (Me 1946) Latest version (90.0.2 (64-bit) annoys me greatly because I can't remove the unwanted 'Pocket' BS. I've followed several online 'advices' on this, including this site, & still it persists.

FF is getting like IE IMO, with all the awkwardness to remove unwanted Bloatware. For an 'Ordinary User'. Could some knowledgeable FF user please explain, in language I can understand, English, but not very Tech Savvy) how I remove Pocket from the browser Thanks.

I am hoping that someone on these forums can help me, since it seems Pocket does not have its own help forum. Pocket has (suddenly, it seemed: today as far as I can tell) started appending "?utm_source=pocket_mylist" (for example "https://daringfireball.net/?utm_source=pocket_mylist") to the end of every single link I open from my list now (I find this absolutely maddening), or in the case of YouTube links, in the middle of the URL (for example "https://www.youtube.com/watch?utm_source=pocket_mylist&v=S_b0ndn5oIg"), and has stopped opening links in new tabs (again, this was fine until yesterday), meaning that if I was quite far down my article list, click a link but forget I now have to Ctrl+Click or Right-Click and then go back to the Pocket list, I have to scroll for a long time to get back to where I was.

This is, obviously, another one of those brain-dead examples of a product being "improved", whereby they made it materially worse. Unfortunately I do use Pocket a lot, so my question is if there is any way (something in about:config, or perhaps some add-on) to, in short, get it to cut this crap out (also known as "work")?

Thanks in advance.

I was running the latest version of FireFox on Windows 10 ver. 1909. I don't remember the exact version. I had an article I wanted to save for later and decided to try Pocket. I created an account, and it asked me to confirm the email address. I clicked on "confirm" and nothing happened. I clicked on it 2 or 3 more times, and the next thing I knew, FireFox took over my machine by infinitely creating new tabs. I'd close it and it would immediately pop back up to the top of the stack, preventing me from doing anything else. The Task Manager couldn't kill it. I eventually managed to uninstall it, and frankly, at this point I'm not sure I want to reinstall it. What the devil was this all about? I'm certainly not messing with Pocket any more; I have a folder on my Bookmarks called "Saved to read" and it'll do just what I want. But I would like to know what I should have done.

After years of innocently using firefox in peace, you began posting conspiracy theories about an overarching White threat in society on my homepage. The ability to turn it off does not address my concerns with what is happening in your company. Does Firefox repudiate anti-White ideology, and will Pocket be removed from your platform?

I and my staff have a lot of work to do. I've been advised by a company that I'm currently using for my electronic health records that you are they're preferred browser. You used to be mine before you started including a bunch of crap for my staff to be distracted by from "Pocket". How can I get a clean version of Mozilla without the Pocket crap for everyone to waist 1-2 hours talking about on my companies dime? Joe

In the pages I have saved to my Pocket there is an advertisement placed there I cannot delete. (CitiGold) The question of why would Mozilla put an ad in my Pocket account should not even have to be asked. The fact that I CANNOT delete it just irks me (aka pisses me off) to no end. How do I get rid of this?

I am a total dummy when it comes to computers. I have enough knowledge to be dangerous. One of the features I have really enjoyed is pocket. I have been having problems with my computer.(OS Windows Vista) I live with my brother and last night, my brother disabled my computer and moved my data to his(OS Windows Vista). In the process, somehow all my pocket data has been lost. the rest of my Firefox attributes seem to be working just fine but I cannot get my old pocket data to show up in the sidebar. Should I just kiss my old data goodbye or is there hope?

Wanting to register my frustrations with the FF integrated version of Pocket. Problems with the new integrated version of Pocket: 1, The visible recognition that a site had been added to Pocket no longer works. Prior to integration, the Pocket icon turned red when a site was added. Now there is no way to tell. 2. Pocket dropdown next to icon has been removed and added to Bookmarks. It is beyond me to understand who thought this was a good design concept. It's cumbersome and annoying. I don't have bookmark tab open on my browser so finding it is unnecessarily time consuming.

On my Mac, I rolled back to the old version of Pocket some time ago, yet l have the integrated version on my PC desktop. It drives me crazy and I want to roll that back too, I'm just not sure if it's still possible?

Just logged into my firefox browser to find that my tabs did not load and I was confronted with a new FFox browser called pocket, which I have never heard of! Am I to assume that this pocket version is the browser I now have to use and must therefore start again from scratch to reload all my tabs? It would have been nice to be informed about such a drastic change, or at least that one could be given a choice to choose this new browser update when it would be convenient for the user. Basically I want all my tabs back and I was not able to do a restore as this option was deactivated. This is very annoying as I'm going on holiday tomorrow and do not need such a hassle as I had important tabs 'open' to use for planning etc. So I hope that you can either advise me on how to get my tabs back (I'm presuming that my bookmarks are still active?!) or do a some sort of reset. Thanks in advance for your help and I hope to hear back from you soon.
