I live in Ireland and want the search in the toolbar to use Google.ie and not Google.com. I checked other search engines in the addons and .ie is not there, neither is .co.uk. Before the last update the search defaulted to Google.ie but not any more.

I need Google.ca I don't want a solution I just want to have the option to use google.ca to come included with Firefox just like it did in older builds. I know it is gone because in about:config country code is already set to CA.

If you think Google.ca is useless, think again. You try to search to buy something from walmart.ca instead walmart.com same with bestbuy or newegg, sears, amazon etc. Many stores who have different products and prices depending on chossing .com or .ca and you need Google.ca that has a choose websites from Canada option.

Hi, I am using the search window as per usual, but it now defaults to the global version of Google, instead of Google.com.au. When I try to fix this, there is no add-on for Google.com.au. This means that I now need to type in the address manually and go to the site to search, which is annoying. Please fix the add-on situation so that Google.com.au can be used in search window? I am from the UK, and unfortunately, something strange randomly occurred, overnight...

Whenever I search Google from within Firefox, which I generally do very often, I get search results from the US.

If I manually type www.google.co.uk into the address bar, then the results I get are correct, and I can see that I've been taken to Google UK. But if I search from either the address bar in Firefox, or if I open a new tab and then use the search box on that page, I get US results again.

I have tried changing my website language within FF settings to English UK, changing my home page to "www.google.co.uk/ncr", deleting cache/cookies/temps, and also doing a refresh of Firefox... none of these have worked.

Any advice here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ever since upgrading to Windows 10, I have been having location issues when using Firefox. When I search anything in Google, I only get US results (we are located in Canada). However, Chrome and Edge both display proper Canadian results. I have checked the location of my IP address, and it shows Toronto (as it always has).

This has only been a problem since upgrading to Windows 10. When I was setting up Windows 10, I know I turned off location services because I don't trust Microsoft with any personal information. However, thinking this might be the cause of my problems, I eventually relented and turned the service back on. However, it did not fix the issue.

I have tried modifying the privacy settings for Google by clicking the little pad lock and setting location access to "allow" but that didn't fix anything either.

I'm at a loss. Firefox has been my primary browser for over a decade, but this is a deal breaker. I am currently working on an SEO project and I need my search results to be location specific.

When I type a search into the address bar (e.g. gymnastic rings) the search defaults to google.com, showing me results in USD and other useless information for me, living in the UK. How do I change this to default to google.co.uk search?

I cannot access google.com from Firefox on my iMac. This only starting happening today. Not sure that it is malware or adware related. I can access all other websites with no issue. Cleared cache and cookies as well for both.

And I can ping www.google.com from the iMac with 0% packet loss.

Here are other details below

iMac running OS X 10.8.5

Firefox 41.0

Please help as I may have overlooked something.

google maps runs terribly slow and laggy on firefox 41 on a fresh install of ubuntu 14.04.3 even more so when i use the yellow man on street view and place it on a street to see the street in street view, please fix this.

I'm frustrated and lost - I'm ok when it comes to using any software but trying to fix a computer problem is not my thing. I love Firefox but lately I've been thinking of moving to some other browser (?) then think of that old saying "the grass is always greener on the other side" so would appreciate your help - but please understand I can only speak English not computer language.

I've had a few problems with upgrades in the past but none that are as strange as this one. Have just upgraded Firefox to 41.0.2. I use Google as my search engine so Google come up as my home page when I first start a search, if I then want to open another tab apart from it taking so long like I'm still on dial-up (!!!) whatever I type into the Google bar shoots straight up to the search bar on top of the screen then just sits there with nothing coming back to me.

Then I started looking through Q&A's and felt like I was in a spiders web. I've checked the Windows Firewall and Firefox is allowed - can someone help and step me through an "how to" to fix this problem because other than that I'm lost - also each time I opened a new tab (before this Firefox upgrade) my home page (Google) would always show - now I just get a blank page.

When I type a search into google, nothing happens. the page just stays blank. I have recently installed Avast anti-virus freeware. Could there be a connection? I noticed Firefox connects using "system proxy settings". Is this normal?

wanting google for home page. changed name in about:config under browser, put google for home page in tools options, found not extensions that posed conflict, removed all other search engines in options, dragged the google tile into home page icon and

still when opening new tab i get the same thing, a page of maybe threee tiles with one of them being google but needing me to double click on it or click on the home page icon to place google on page as search engine.

My searches using Google are interrupted and apparently sent to Yahoo... If I try to go back to the previous screen I am immediately sent back to the Yahoo search results. Sometimes screens like 'you are lost' or 'page not found' (but these are not the usual format) come up and I can only get back to the Yahoo search results from there.

Is this a known problem and what is the solution?

I am running Firefox 41.0.1 on Mac OS 10.7.5

A friend was using my computer to try to get to Google/Gmail. Firefox now is gray at the top of the screen with an additional blank area at the top. The windows task bar at the bottom is also gone. My Norton security software is unloaded also. One time a message "enhanced by Google" appeared. I then downloaded a new copy of Firefox, the message disappeared but the other settings are still not what I had before. How do I get back to the default appearance?

Had problems with my husband's computer and wound up having to reset Firefox. Now it has reset and the start page comes up but when I request Google to bring up a page (any page) nothing happens. No action whatever. What could be wrong? I've checked to see that Firefox isn't blocked by the firewall.

Since the last update on first use of google mail it operates well. After opening and closing mail etc Firefox hangs and I have to reststart Firefox.

This does not happen with Chrome browser.

I have switched my default search engine to google. but every time I open Firefox, I continue to get the extra little window giving me instructions on how to do it again. it's driving my perfectionist ocd crazy. plz help. lol

Google calendar watcher welcome instructions are always on the right side of my tabs page and I can't remove it. I want to delete the app but can't figure out how to do this.
