Hi there.

I play The Settlers Online (Flash based web game) but I'm having problems with Firefox 66.03 (64 bit) under Fedora Linux. Flash crashes the tab when the presentation is clicked. See attached.

This morning I have downloaded a fresh ISO of Fedora 29 and performed a fresh install, Insulated all available updates, rebooted, Installed the latest version of Flash plugin via Adobe, rebooted. Sadly still crashing when the game is loaded.

Flash 32 works fine under CentOS 7 which bundles Firefox 60.6.1 ESR however I prefer to use Fedora due to restricted hardware support under CentOS

I know this question has been asked in the past, but I did not find a recent troubleshooting sequence that solved my problem.

I have a Spectrum cable TV account (yes, I'm a dinosaur). MSNBC is part of my package. I like to stream videos of shows on msnbc.com. In order to access content, I have to sign in to my Spectrum account. When I click on "Please sign in", a box appears with various provider names. When I click on "Spectrum", the box closes but nothing else happens. I am not directed to the Spectrum log in page.

I have cleared my cookies, enabled third party cookies, whitelisted the site on Adblocker, and am using Custom Content Blocking for Firefox. Nothing is working. Please help! Thanks.

Last night I was watching twitch and some youtube videos and all of a sudden the video players paused. I refreshed the page and was met with a black screen on both twitch and youtube. The overlay for the players was there (volume control, play/pause, "live" notification in the top right corner of twitch), but youtube had a permanent loading symbol and twitch was completely blacked out. I closed out of firefox and reopened and the players started working again, but later today the same thing happened, again forcing me to close out of firefox. It's been hard for me to try and diagnose the problem because it happens sparingly and reproducing the issue has been difficult.

The PageSuite window comes up, tells me it is loading the selected page(s) and waits while I choose the Printer details. When I press OK that small window goes away and PrintSuite says 'Printing Finished'. Now that's what happened before the New Year, so everything appears to be fine.

It took me some time to figure out that I needed to see what was in the printer queue. That showed nothing.

I eventually thought to set up the printer queue window before I pressed OK. When I do that, the file is sent to the printer and it is immediately removed from the queue. The file name is in the list for a fraction of a second, no more. Just enough time for the file name to register on the screen. So that's the problem I have run into.

Now, details:

Operating system - Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Web browser - Firefox Quantum, v 66.0.3

Printer - Brother HL-1210W

I have added 2 language packs to Firefox. Norwegian and Spanish. The site says they're installed but, they are not functioning. I've rebooted my MacBook twice now, thinking that a reboot was what I needed, but to no avail. When I go back to the language selection site and click on the languages in question, I am asked if I want to remove the selected languages. I live in Norway, speak Norwegian, US English and Spain's Spanish but, the only I get when I try to change is US English. Thanks in advance for your help Regards, Kjell Torgersen

Firefox Is Changing The Default Paper Size For All Printers When One Is Selected

Hello! A little background info on what we're dealing with here. I work in a store and we own two workstations. Each workstation shares our two printers. One is a Star Re… (read more)

Hello!

A little background info on what we're dealing with here. I work in a store and we own two workstations. Each workstation shares our two printers. One is a Star Receipt printer, the other is a Brother full size paper printer. Now Workstation2 is working without issue. We are able to print with the system specific default printer settings and nothing changes between printer. All good to go.

Now the issues stems from Workstation1. Our Star Receipt printer is set to print '77MMXRECEIPT', however when we select the Brother printer from the drop down menu then switch back to the Star Receipt the default paper size is forced to 'Letter' which causes the Receipt to print like a large sheet of paper which means we only get a portion of what we are printing.

This wouldn't normally be a problem, but due to some undefined steps(I'm not the only user and we don't always print from one website) the Brother printer is changed to default in Firefox which means that when we select the Receipt printer for printing, the default is again set to 'Letter' until we go to File>Print and set it to default again with '77MMXRECEIPT'.

Here's what I've done to test where the issue is this. I've changed and confirmed that when the Receipt printer is forced to 'Letter', the windows printer settings for both printers does stay on the default settings. I've also confirmed that the printer settings work on all browsers but Firefox and within Firefox I have gone into the .js settings file and deleted anything mentioned as 'print_' as well as going to Help>Troubleshoot>Refresh and completely setting all settings to default with nothing changing. I've also gone into About:config and tried resetting the default printer to no avail. The setting is always forcefully changed to 'Letter' when first switched to Brother printer and back to Star Receipt printer.

My take on it is there is some saved cache or settings file that has recorded and saved the Brother settings along with the Star Receipt settings and sets them both when switched to Brother. I've attempted to check both workstations and compare settings, everything appears the same. I have no idea where else to go on this as I don't know Firefox that intimately. Short of reinstalling Firefox I've done all I can think of.

My current version of Firefox is 66.0.3 (64-bit) labelled as Firefox Quantum.

Please let me know if there is anything you can think of! Thank you for your help.

gebruikte firefox versie: Quantum 66.0.3 (64-bits) for Ubuntu canonical-1.0

My personal website is not protected with a certificate (http://) but is listed as start (home) page. Firefox automatically changes the address to https://..... = secured this gives the message "cannot connect to the server on home.scarlet.be. Maybe the website temporarily unavailable or overloaded. Try again shortly. If you do not have a single page can load, check the network connection of your computer. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox has access to the web. "

When starting firefox and also with manual typing my website address, firefox makes this adjustment to "https://" through which I can no longer reach my own website.

All other Web sites, both secure and non-secure work correct,

firefox version: Quantum 66.0.3 (64-bit) for Ubuntu canonical – 1.0

I have set Firefox to ask how to handle PDFs and usually choose save, as I want to keep most of them. I do not use the internal PDF viewer. When after downloading, I open a PDF from the Downloads dropdown or from Library Downloads, I get a popup saying: "Open Executable File? “FILENAME.pdf” is an executable file. Executable files may contain viruses or other malicious code that could harm your computer. Use caution when opening this file. Are you sure you want to launch “FILENAME.pdf”? (Cancel) (Ok)" (screenshot attached) This behaviour started with Quantum I believe. Actually, my chosen PDF reader (Atril, a fork of Evince) does not support Javascript, which I assume is the reason for introducing this warning, so the warning does not apply in my case, and it is a nuisance, so I would like to disable it. How do I do so?

Note that Firefox seems to remember on a per-file basis that the warning was acknowledged, so opening the same file again from Downloads, the popup does not appear. But I want to prevent it from appearing even the first time.

For reference: the pdf definition in PROFILE/handlers.json is: "application/pdf":{"action":0,"extensions":["pdf","pdf;jsessionid=2c7663ad9dfe3b68a1b43d20aa96b70f"],"ask":true} I have set about:config browser.download.manager.alertOnEXEOpen=false with no effect on this behaviour.

I've recently swapped to firefox from chrome, and I noticed one major difference in how the browser manages color profiles. While chrome uses the color profile per monitor, and updates when a window goes form one to the other, Firefox seems to only use the color profile from the first monitor regardless of which monitor i am on.

After some digging, I mange to find a guide (https://cameratico.com/guides/firefox-color-management/) that shows how to setup firefox to use an ICC profile. However, I can't seem to find a way to get Firefox to use ICC profile per monitor.

Is there a way?
