Suddenly I have very old, deleted bookmarks reappearing in my bookmarks folders. I have to manually re-delete each one individually only to have them all reappear the next time I open Firefox. This has to end. What has Mozilla done? Another thought- if Mozilla does not keep any of our info how are bookmarks that have been deleted for more than 2 years deleted reappearing?

Hello,

When I visit any website, normally I would expect to be stored in crt+H (history) TAB. Yet, after visiting the website, it does not show up there.

Only after a few hours the visited website will show up in the history tab.

PS: This happens on the same device, the sync option between them works fine. After the few hours have passed and the websites have shown in the original computer, they will instantly sync across all other devices. And yes, I have checked the setting from top to bottom.

Any ideas how to deal with this or am I the only one with this problem?

This is the first time I've needed to do this in years but, at one time, installing a root (or, for that matter, third-level) CA certificate in Firefox was straightforward. Unless I'm missing something --and I've been poking around these files for over an hour-- it is now, at best, quite obscure. Is there a way for me to install a CA certificate for a CA you have chosen to not recognize and include with the system? If so, a clear explanation of how to do it would be appreciated. And, yes, I understand the implications of doing this.

Thanks.

Hello,

My Firefox routinely shuts down while I'm using my 2018 Macbook Pro, and the problem began when I updated my IOS to Big Sur This is a systemic problem with non-native apps ever since installing Big Sur. Apple won't address the problem unless I confirm that my non-native apps are compatible with Big Sur. Can you please confirm the most updated version of the Firefox Browser is compatible with Apple's Big Sur IOS? Can you also let me know if other users have experienced problems and if there is any fix?

I got started using Firefox a few years ago. Once I got adjusted to the different controls, I really like using it, BUT...

I have updated it three times now (the last time was on accident after ignoring the notice for a long time). Every update breaks the browser for me. I start getting Windows that don't load - the dot just bounces but the window stays blank for hours. The browser fails to load anything. On restart I get message that Firefox failed to close properly. New windows take up to 6 or 7 tries to load a link, and the same for loading into a tab.

The first couple times I updated, I followed the guidance to save favorites, dump the browser and restart from scratch, then load everything back in. While it worked, it's a PITA for a browser that updates pretty frequently, and I think routine updates should be able to load without having to spend hours troubleshooting and reloading. I'm not stupid or computer illiterate - I manage a Linux server cluster at work, but I can't manage my Firefox at home through a routine update.

Can anyone help get Firefox to load and run properly such that it works even after an update? I hate Edge, and Internet Explorer, while easy to learn is full of security holes and often DOA at most websites these days. I refuse to go Google, and I'd prefer to not learn another browser. I like Firefox, but the post-update problems are killing me.

I have noticed that my Firefox browser has become so slow that it is nearly unusable.

I have noticed that Mozilla has been offering their VPN for $5/month. Has the company slowed down the browser to sell this feature?

Or is there something in the Microsoft updates that have slowed down the browser.

I really like Firefox but I have reverted Chrome simply to get my work done without waiting for Firefox to load. I really am not a big fan of Google and I really find Microsoft to be, well, Microsoft.

Reddit comments textbox shows duplicate text after pasteing When creating a comment (new or reply), the input textbox shows duplicate text. So what ever is pasted, it appears twice. If I post the comment anyway, only one copy of the text appears in the posted comment. It only seems to happen if I paste more than one line of text so maybe the CRLF at the end of line one has something to do with it. See attached image.

I tried the same operation with Chrome, and it does not have this duplicate text problem. So I'm guessing it some problem with the input textbox implementation in firefox.

Is this a known problem? Anyone else seeing this?

Hello, On May 14th 2021 an update occurred. I had no warning and I lost most of my computer settings as well all my Firefox bookmarks. I didn't manually backup my bookmarks lately so I thought I could retrieve them in the Windows.old file but there is no such file on my computer. If Firefow was also updated, why there hasn't been creation of a bookmarkbackup? Is there a way to recover my bookmarks? Thanks for your help. CLC

Now i always get this in Firefox "Playback Error There's something wrong. Please try again later. "

And yes it is just Firefox. I know that Firefox is killing the ability to listen to Amazon Music as it works perfectly fine in Chrome and Microsoft Edge but not in Firefox at all. I've tried several days - it won't play it.

Really is uninstalling and basically killing Firefox the best?

Hi. When copy-pasting text with formatting (bold, italics, spacing) into any Reddit.com comment submission box (not post submission boxes) from any external text application (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Pastebin) using Firefox (v88.0.1), all formatting is lost and seemingly random newlines are added. Instead of lines going from the entire space left to right, they are cut off in the center where newlines are added.

The text tends to look like this. And any bold and italic portions are removed. (Intended)

The text tends to look like this. And any bold and italic portions are removed. (Resulting)

When trying to delete this text and copy-paste additional times, ghost text appears that cannot be deleted but overlays on top of any additional text. Removing any parts of text seems to paste another copy and infinitely loop more of the pasted text, creating a horrible looking overlay of text that now looks like cryptic symbols because of the overlaying.

I posted and looked through Reddit's /r/help, and it seems that multiple people are reporting this issue, all using the latest version of Firefox and having the issue appear in the last few days.

I have already tried disabling extensions, launching in Safe Mode, clearing Firefox cache, manually troubleshooting settings in about:config, looking through all entries of about:support, refreshing the Firefox profile, completely reinstalling Firefox. The issue does not appear to be my installation, but rather a bug with the software on this version.

Any help is appreciated, I am totally stumped.
