Dear,

I need to recover my Mozilla (Firefox) account on my computer after this latter crashed. Unfortunately, apparently I don't have the good password. Probably I used an automatically generated password which I don't remember.

I still have my account connected on my Android smartphone, but I can't access the account details (no way to recover my password or change through this device?!), and I can't export my bookmarks. Also, apparently all my identifiers and passwords were not synced on my smartphone :-( Hence somewhere all my precious information are available, but stupidly enough I can't access it anymore and resetting the password warns me that I might (is it even a certainty or a possibility?) lose everything. It seems that I cannot even produce a revovery key (to reset pwd without losing data as mentioned in the Help pages) as I can't connect on a desktop browser anymore (but well on my Android version). I am lost and just stupidly blocked - this is SO frustrating, I initially thought it would be a good idea to put everything in Mozilla - well...

Is there ANY way to actually recover my account without losing data on my desktop Firefox, given I still have access to the email account associated to the Mozilla account (and to the original emails from the creation of my accounts) and I still have access to my Firefox account on the Android app but this one doesn't seem to allow to do anything interesting in my case??

Thanks a lot!

I recently updated my system (OpenSuse15.4) which included a Firefox update to version 109.0.

I regularly use my mic for google voice, however even though I can select my microphone in Google voice, It never shows any input.

I tested my mic in other apps and it works fine. When I pull up my systems pulse audio volume control (pavucontrol), it does not show firefox in the recording tab like it used to when using Google Voice.

To test to see if it was a Google Voice error, I also tried testing my mic at https://mictests.com/, and zoom.com, but after selecting my desired input device, mictests.com was also unable to record anything, and again, pavucontrol did not show anything being recorded.

I have attached an image of pavucontrol that shows audacity recording audio. Normally, I would also see Firefox in this window when using the mic.

On my computer, I run Mageia Cauldron with a GNOME environment. After a recent update of my system, both Firefox and Thunderbird have stopped working. They crash constantly when I try to launch either of them. In both cases, when I try to launch them from the command line, I get the following message: ATTENTION: default value of option mesa_glthread overridden by environment. ATTENTION: default value of option mesa_glthread overridden by environment. Segmentation fault (core dumped)

For basic info, my system is: OS: Linux Mageia Cauldron Environment: GNOME Shell 43.1 Display server: X11 Kernel: 6.1.8-desktop-1.mga9 x86_64 Firefox: 102.7.0esr Thunderbird: 102.6.1

Looking around, it seems to be a bug with Firefox and Thunderbird, but besides waiting for a new update that might fix itself, I wonder if there is something I can do to make them work now.

Thank you.

This is what my environment looks like: I am using Firefox (version 109.0) on Ubuntu (version 22.04.1). I installed the 1password extension for Firefox (version 2.5.1). I have allowed the 1Password extension to "Run in Private Windows" (from the Firefox Add-ons Manager).

Description of my issue: In Firefox, there is a Privacy&Security setting that allows you to "Always use private browsing mode". When this setting is enabled, the 1Password extension does not work at all (even if I allowed it to run in private windows). That is, every time I click on the 1Password icon in my browser, an empty browser tab shows up, and nothing more. Instead, if I disable that setting, the extension works correctly.

I'm using Ubuntu 22.04.1/Wayland and FireFox Snap for Ubuntu 109.0 and I have two monitor bigger and smaller. After some time of using Firefox it's hang or something like that. When it happens I can normally open pages and use firefox except I can't move tab, resize window and when I move firefox from one monitor to second then it fit to half of screen (when move from smaller monitor to bigger) or window is behind monitor (when move FF from bigger monitor to smaller, you can see on screenshot what I mean). When I close FF and open everything works fine.

i cannot print any web page from Firefox. The print option only offers me the option to save as PDF. Firefox is not detecting either my Brother laser printer or my Epson inkjet printer. if i use the print using system dialogue option fire fox shows a printer screen which has a simple entry of line prntr. If that is selected nothing at all happens. Clearly Firefox cannot detect my printers. If I save the web pages to a PDF file then open that file I can then get the normal system printing options and print the page. But all that does is clutter up my file system with files I will only ever use once. This proves the problem is clearly in Firefox and in its inability to detect system printers. I have tried all the suggestions from the help screens to no avail. Is there any other means of sorting this print problem.

I'm looking at the User-Agent strings from MacOS systems running the lastest versions of MacOS 11, 12 or 13. They appear to be reporting they are running MacOS X 10.15.7 Since all versions of MacOS X 10.* are now well past EOL, this causes problems when using this at least do some minimal testing against the system being "supported". Yes, I know it's easy to forge your UA strings, but most people do not, and it at least provides a reasonable base line of what to expect from users.

I use Firefox on Linux, on a wide screen, usually with multiple windows open at the same time.

Specifically, I have a smallish window containing a calendar view. It's annoying that new tabs get created in that small window, because I have to move them manually to another window and resize that. I'd like to be spared the clicks and drags to get that done, or always needing to remember to move the focus to another Firefox window after doing something with the calendar.

Is there a way to accomplish the following: 1. When I've got a Firefox window open that I don't want new tabs in 2. And I open a link from outside Firefox (say, from a mail in Thunderbird or from my IDE) 3. A new tab doesn't get created in the window from 1. 4. Even if that window has the focus. 5. Instead, the URL gets opened in either a new tab in another Firefox window or a new Firefox window

I'm fine with a stable add-on, if that's what it takes to do this.

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

My primary desktop is mate/compiz on Fedora 36. I typically have 6 Workspaces available, 4 dedicated to specific apps (eg. Firefox runs in WS#2, several terminal sessions in WS#1).

In a terminal window, when I right-click a web URL I get an action menu including an entry "Open Link". Recently the behavior resulting when I select that menu item has changed.

Prior, Desired Behavior: My current workspace switches to that containing Firefox, Firefox receives focus and the URL is opened in a new tab.

New, Undesired Behavior: Firefox is moved from its workspace to my current workspace and the URL is opened in a new tab. I must return Firefox to its "assigned" workspace.

Experimenting suggests the behavior change is due to something in the profile used by Firefox though I'm unable to identify it.

Other browsers (brave, chrome, firefox from mozilla.org rather than from the fedora package repo) do not exhibit the new behavior. Firefox on other systems (some Fedora/mate/compiz, others varying) do not exhibit the new behavior.

Firefox (from Fedora repos) with all addons (only 7) disabled continues to exhibit the new behavior.

A new Firefox update today (to 109.0) continues to exhibit the new, undesired behavior.

As noted above, Firefox from mozilla.org, does not exhibit the new, undesired behavior. But that is with a new profile. If it is started with the profile of the Fedora Firefox, it DOES exhibit the undesired behavior.

Can someone suggest a setting or profile change to restore the old, desired behavior?

Tnx, Jon

Hi beloved community!

I've been experiencing problems with firefox on Ubuntu. Some (if not all) windows randomly bug out and I can instantly tell because:

1. Hover animations stop working completely, in-page and browser ones too (menu, tabs, etc) 2. Animations work if I scroll or click over any element 3. Browser window becomes unmovable, I can't drag the window, only by doing alt+space and selecting move 4. Top bar (URL, tabs, config buttons, minimize, restore, close buttons too) doesn't resize if I get out of full-screen

If I move tabs to a new window they work perfectly, until they don't anymore. It can be almost instantly or it may work perfectly for hours

At first I could ignore it but now it's just getting so annoying it's practically unusable
