Hi, Is there anyway I can set my Firefox to delete cookies from a specific website upon exit? There's an option for us to delete everything upon exit but that is for all websites and I just want to rid of cookies from some websites only. Could anyone please help me this? I would really appreciate it. I am using Windows 10 Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.928) and Firefox Nightly (95.0a1 (2021-10-24) (64-bit)) up to date version. Looking forward from some help Thank you so much

v 91.0.1 on Mac Tried 2 ways. No effect. - Settings >> Privacy and Security >> Cookies and Site Data >> Manage Data, or Clear Data--both leave cookies after Removing or Clearing All. Looks like 16 MB of cookies remain--from 2-3 weeks old. Tried repeatedly-- the list is cleared (while selecting remove All), then immediately comes back in entirety once I check again.

- Menu >> History >> Clear Recent History >> Clear All, "Everything" >> No effect.

- I deleted a Firefox profile that was not in use. No effect.

THX for guidance. best to All.

I delete my cookies the end of each session. So when I reload FF and revisit any sites that require cookies I have to click to accept, which is tiresome. Can I set certain trusted sites to automatically recreate cookies? I find the 'manage data' panel very confusing - I'm not sure what I'm blocking and allowing. Please see screen shot of settings.

Windows 10 PC. Not using private mode.

I am having problems clearing Facebook cookies and data storage. I have cleared the cache numerous times and always FB is at the top of the list with 0 cookies but 17,179,869,184GB Data Storage. I delete that as well and it comes back. I have run my Smartscan and optimized. This showed up recently and it makes Firefox very, very slow. What are some other options to try

How to disable First party cookie isolation for one site.

I have an exstention that talks with the site, but it cant talk to it unless I have first party cookie isolation disabled. How can I disable it for one site only?

Also, what is the difference between not having first party cookie isolation and having it on.

I have already checked the cookies are enabled and set to never be deleted. Other websites I use stay signed in, this only happens for google/youtube once every few days. I never had this problem in other browsers aswell so I doubt it's an account problem. I am using a couple of extensions, adguard and ublock origin, but the issue was still there when I disabled them.

It is a followup of a previous question and your suggestions did not work. May be I did not explained myself. The issue is that everytime I launch Firefox a "google page" pops up asking me either to accept or to personalize the use of cookies and whatever I choose it is not “memorized” so that the following time I launch firefox it asks again the same question. (I have google as my default search engine and I have a google account). Thanks! Giulio

FF seems to keep forgetting what I call "legitimate" cookies. For example:

  • For websites I use daily without a login, like Accuweather, every few days I get their "Accept our cookies?" messages.
  • For sites that allow an on-going login, I need to re-login frequently. Not daily, but certain not months later.
  • I have a financial site that allows me to set only certain devices may be recognized. Today it said a device I use weekly or so is no longer recognized.

There is an old thread that may be relevant: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1309877

But several issues: That thread is closed, even though this bug is still going. Also it only covers Windows and I could use help with Windows & iOS versions.

Could "Tracking Protection" level come into play? I had it set to Standard but noticed recently it was Strict. I think Firefox changed that, not me, but I can't be 100% positive. Meanwhile I changed it back to Standard but so far the issue remains.

Thank you,

Joe

I have the latest Firefox update, and noticed that if I delete one site's cookie, then the cookies for other sites, my logins, and site data just disappear when I go onto the site despite it still being in the data when I check Settings.

One example is if I delete Twitter's cookies and then go to Discord, I'm somehow logged out of Discord, and some other sites loose my settings despite the fact that they are still there in the data untouched.

I have tried adding these sites to the Exceptions list, but the same thing still happens. I am not in Private Browsing Mode (nor have I ever used it), and I don't have Firefox set to delete cookies/site data when closed.

This started happening sometime after I updated to 91.0.2. I'm not sure if the update broke something or there's some other issue going on.

A few Firefox versions ago now when I opened Facebook it showed my saved e-mail address to login, and not my password which I wanted NOT saved and still do not want it saved. But now each time I log out of Firefox (and Facebook) and later go into them again it still requires entry of the e-mail address (doesn't "remember" it) - I'm an elderly user and not into the depths of the Firefox settings, but guess if someone could walk me through exactly step by step what I need to do I would be so grateful. I guess it is something to do with "cache" settings??

Every time I close firefox the cookies file in my profile folder "cookies.sqlite" makes a backup of itself "cookies.sqlite.bak" so when I open firefox again I start out fresh unless I change name of the file back to what it supposed to be then I could launch firefox back with the old cookies with no visible issues.

So, how do I make it so the firefox doesn't automatically make a backup of my old cookies and replace it a new file?

Hi there, I have a strange behavior in firefox: when navigating to Yeastar support website (https://support.yeastar.com/hc/en-us) and trying to sign in, i receive the following message: "To continue signing in using Firefox, allow cookies to be stored on this device. You might see this screen more than once. " If I put my username and passwords, I am unable to press the "Sign in" button. If I do the same from an incognito session, the message doesn't appear and I am able to log in through the "Sign in" button (see attached screenshot).

I tried to read many articles about allowing cookies from the firefox documentation but none has solved my problem. I'm running Firefox version 91.0 from a VDI (Citrix Desktop) and I have no admin privileges. Is there anything I can set in order to resolve this problem?
