Firefox Support.

I receive email messages from members in this forum in Chrome. It is very difficult to find the messages here when I logged in. If possible, can a reference number be provided with the message.

I never log out and if possible I prefer to stay logged in. The main topic seems to be about "Inbuilt adblockers" Some of the messages are a bit rude about the above. I don't appreciate those type of messages.

But I do agree if there could be an adblocker in Firefox in my Android phone, Browser extensions are uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger and CanvasBlocker. They don't block ads. uBlock Origin "Element Picker Mode" works perfectly on my PC but not all on my Android Phone. I appreciate very much how Firefox can be configured more than all the browsers combined, to provide extreme protection and privacy. In addition with MullvadVPN.

I received a message from Microsoft a few days ago and they have extended Windows 10 Security updates to 12 October 2027.

My problem started approximately (2) updates prior to my current Firefox update after 7-13-26... abouit a month of it now. I have great Malware and Security programs and never have been hacked. However now I have popups, redirects to new tabs advertising something, and Bing search engine came up replacing my StartPage search preference. I have since fixed my default search engine, but as noted below I am having no luck with ad popups and search redirects.

I have gone through Mozilla troubleshooting in Settings>Peremissions and Date>Notifications... and checked off all ad and popup blocking. I have checked entire PC with (2) separate Malware programs and found nothing. I use iObit Advanced System Care and it has caught many things, but it hasn't helped me here either.

I am still on Windows 10 operating system and have never had any problems at all Is there someting in a line item entry stored on my PC that I can look for that is taking over my browser settings? What else can be done to stop these insane ad and popup overlays?

I would like to see someone come up with a templated browser (or page) that's specific to Facebook which would include the now removed feature of the list of contacts they used to have on their feed page. At one time this list used to be included on the wall as well. I would use that list when viewing FB to show me not only who was currently online, but who was most likely viewing the content I posted. Sadly, to the frustration of many Facebook has changed this feature to a collapseable menu represented with an icon... and at the top of the list when brought up, is a link to the Meta AI (a feature I would also like to block) which I've found can and will chat with a user, although not in a manner I consider satisfactory.

Turned on laptop this morning after arriving at work -- Addon icons gone and Addons not functioning. Why was this fault in 152.0.5 not disclosed before committing to upgrading the the browsers I support for distance consultants ? Click the Manage Extensions icon and there are no "gears" to click to "Pin to toolbar". This is terrible. I have a half hour until those folks arrive at work in Lost Angeles. Wow. I want to revert to a previous version. Where do I get them ? I am a DBA and NOT support for unstable browsers. FF consistently causing me time and money but "befehl ist befehl" and it is the browser we are ordered to use. I believe management has conflated Free and Functional/useful when selecting our S/W tools.

Hello, I recently learned that browsers will condense spaces written in HTML down a single space. As someone who thinks putting two spaces after a period is more legible, I was wondering if there is a way to disable this, either in settings or with a browser extension. I know this will result in a less consistent browsing experience because not everyone types this way, however it will make my browsing experience better when reading things written by people who also believe in using two spaces. Thank you.

Extensions, such as Dark Reader, don't work on some designated web-sites. For example: support.mozilla.org addons.mozilla.org accounts.firefox.com

There is an Add-on that I am using that have needed an update for some time now, and the creator has already finished with the update and sent it to Mozilla for approval, but they are not responding to the request. It has now been over a week, while Chrome approved it in a matter of hours.

Is there any way to ask Mozilla to speed up the approval of updates for Add-ons? The one in question is this one: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/croptix/

I asked ChatGPT the following questions, and as a result, I also have some questions for Firefox. Where can I get answers? I do not like the Edge browser for several reasons. Firefox, as far as I am concerned, is the best browser for my use. Due to the fact I reside in Kaliningrad I must use a VPN to access sites I used to take for granted when I lived in the Czech Republic. This morning, as usual, I tried getting connected to VeePN in my Firefox browser. As usual, it does one of the following: 1) “Something went wrong at our end.” & “try to update” or “contact us for assistance.” 2) Continuously refuses to connect, leaving with the message: “Connection Error. Can’t fetch server config.” 3) Connects very soon after opening Firefox, perhaps 5% of the time I try connecting to VeePN. This morning, I spent many attempts over the course of 2+ hours, and no connection. Sometimes I had to refresh the VeePN extension due to the immediate, continuous, fast popups of “Connection Error. Can’t fetch server config.” Then suddenly, without rhyme or reason, VeePN connected. Also, this morning I decided to test using VeePN on my Edge browser, and it immediately connected, with no hesitation. This begs the question. Is there something about Firefox that may be causing the issue? I have not changed any settings anywhere regarding WiFi or Network & Internet Settings. In addition, sometimes, when I tire of trying to get VeePN to connect in Firefox after decades of connection attempts, I will use my Browsec VPN. I have learned not to use two VPNs simultaneously, one or the other, not both. Also, it is worth mentioning that VeePN is far superior to Browsec, but that is my opinion based on how they both perform after being connected for a good period of time. I can be connected via VeePN all day and have no issues. Browsec requires regular refreshing. Either VPN, however, is affected by the internet connection and the wireless connection between my router and the dongle that sits on my desktop near my PC. Yes — based on what you described, this strongly suggests the problem is more related to Firefox itself (or the Firefox extension environment) than to your internet connection or VeePN service overall. I have added an image of all the Firefox Extensions I use, obviously, some in the list are turned off. Running Firefox 150.0.1 64 bit on win 10 Have down loaded Box, Thunderbird pro and dropbox but still flags non verification Have disabled antivirus etc and set xpinstall signatures to false but no change.
