Sometime in the past 3 months, when I use Replay Poker's site almost every time, or occasionally when I use Angry Birds Friends on Facebook in Mozilla (both use flash), and leave a poker table or the ABF game, it freezes my Mozilla browser. When using Replay's site this happens 8-10 times out of 10. With ABF, it happens 1 out of every 5-6 times I use it. I am unable to click on or in the browser window, and cannot close the browser with the x at the upper right of the window. The only thing that works at that point is to hold my mouse over my Mozilla icon in the taskbar, and when the small window icons pop up, I can close them using the x on the small icon. What seems to reset the browser is if I have two or more tabs open, and click the upper-right x while mouse hovering over the taskbar icon, getting the "close multiple tabs?" warning. If I click no, then the browser usually seems to reset and start operating normally again. Though, sometimes that still does not allow me to open a new flash window, so I have to completely close Mozilla and restart it again. I have noted a couple other mentions of this problem, but have yet to find a solution that works.
My graphic card drivers are updated. I am using the most updated version of Flash as well.

Using Windows 10, FF 55.0.3, Shockwave plugin 27.0.0.130, Adobe Flashplayer 27 NPAPI.
I am using Adobe Bridge and select to preview a gallery in the browser. Bridge will let FF start and then I get the message (in FF), that there is no flash player installed. I installed many many times, as decribed here in several messages, so often the flash player. I also did the steps described by the college student "ComputerWhiz" (=Wesley Branton) here: https://support.mozilla.org/nl/questions/1037689 (renaming pluginreg.dat). I disabled my virus scanner (E-Set). Also I deactivate in FF all the Extensions (to be sure no one causes a conflict), restarted FF but still FF does not recognize the flash player.
Please help me and do not give answers like to find out which flashplayer version I have or where to download flashplayer. Just an answer straight to the point why FF does not recognize the installed Adobe Flashplayer and how to solve it. Thx in advance

Hello. I looked through the forum but nun helped. I can search on Youtube, but when I click to watch video page loaded either only Youtube caption, with search box, and nothing more, or just black rectangular. I just now installed latest Firefox updated, disabled all extension. In Safe mode I got black rectangular with message "your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available".

48.0.2 on Mountain Lion 10.8.5. Fullscreen video on the CNN site plays initially, then stops with a circling round arrow. Lately it has started to do this with that video on the side as you scroll down the screen, as well. Very maddening. No problems on other sites. If I cannot fix this quickly and simply I will have to go to Chrome. Updated flash yesterday, no joy. Suggestions welcome. Thank you

This complaint is in regard to your arbitrary blocking of Adobe Flash Player for Windows XP & Vista. Both OS systems still work effectively on older PC's. My old HP DC5100SSF runs at 3.0 ghz faster than many duo core pc's. Adobe discontinued any Flash update for XP and Vista as well as Google Chrome. Chrome still plays all Adobe Flash and You Tube content without complaint. You are forcing me to go to Google Chrome. If they change I will go to Linux.
Mozilla products are great but not accommodating the older users is not acceptable. DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

When playing video from a website I frequent, the size of the video is a lot smaller than what the website intended. You can see the black window where the video size is supposed to fill. I have tried just about everything to fix it. I don`t know what it could be. But, I think it has to do with the settings on my Windows 10 computer, because I do not have the video problem from the same website on my Vista PC. I have a nvidia 980ti graphics card and a 4k monitor capable of 3840x 2160 resolution.
Well, I tried to upload a screen shot of the problem, but it just sits there and buffers.

Im building a new webpage with video background. The problem is that Firefox is the only browser that have problem with html5 autoplaying. If page was loaded atleast one time the video is working correclty, starts right after the page load automatically but.. if page is loaded for the first time in most cases the video in background doesn't start and show something like TV's snow.
Facts: - I don't think its code issue, atleast not 'video' tag (tried many configurations thinking it might ), - I'm also sure its not problem with video - tried few videos, - tried all formats - it happens with all of them: mp4, wemb, ogg, All at the same time and individually, - it's not problem with my PC - been trying on windows, mac and linux, - Its not plugin - i don't use any with FF.
Check it out here: http://strona5.nanit.webd.pl Just do it in private session and close window after every load so you'll see that its lottery.

For the past few months or so, Firefox has become completely unusable for me. About every five minutes or so, the browser freezes, and I have to kill the process in order to re-launch it. I've tried clean uninstall/reinstall, removing all add-ons, etc. Nothing seems to work. I've installed it on 4 of my computers, and it freezes on all of them (Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 7 Professional, and Windows 10).
Has anybody had any luck fixing the instability, or am I just stuck with Chrome?

Ever since the HTML5 player has taken over Youtube, I've had problems with it perma-freezing my computer as soon as any window was opened. Until recently I got around that by setting media.windows-media-foundation.enabled to false, forcing Youtube to use the Flash player. Lately, though, it's somehow gone back to the HTML5 player with 360p resolution only, so I went digging through the config file again in search of solutions. That's when I found two settings I hadn't noticed before, media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled (which I found true) and media.hardware-video-decoding.failed (which I also found true, though I hadn't touched it before). Re-enabling windows-media-foundation caused the hard-freezes to reoccur, but I discovered that by setting media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled to false I was able to leave the windows-media-foundation option true, and I can now use Youtube's HTML5 player in all resolutions. I conclude from this that the media.hardware-video-decoding.failed setting is bugged somehow, since it didn't seem to prevent the freezes.
