Will it be OK to upgrade my Firefox browser from Rel 72 to latest Rel 100 in one step ? OS is Mac OS X Monterrey 12.3..1 Or should I do 1 or more intermediate upgrades to be safe ?

FWIW, I've had enough problems upgrading from OSx Mojave to Monterrey. I am leery of the huge jump from FF 72 to 100.

All advice most welcome.

After Firefox updated, I can no longer access www.apple.com. This is the error I get now:

Blocked by X-Frame-Options Policy

An error occurred during a connection to idmsa.apple.com.

Firefox prevented this page from loading in this context because the page has an X-Frame-Options policy that disallows it.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue as soon as possible. Thank You.

I can easily find a bookmark by searching in the Library "All bookmarks" window. However, I cannot figure out how to see folder that contains that bookmark. In Safari there an optional column for folder and you can then right-click and get an option to open the folder.

Is there a way to do this in Firefox?

I used to use Theme & Font Size Changer and was able to change the fonts to large and bold so I could read them. Now it doesn't work because of Firefox "upgrades". There really should be an easier way to change fonts, both sizes and colors, because not everyone is 20 years old with great eyesight. Is there a fairly easy way to do this? I'll even take a not-so-easy way if it works.

BTW, I've used "Firefox Colors" and it does make it a bit easier, but I really need to be able to increase the size of the text AND bold it.

So i've been having trouble starting fire fox after it updates. The last couple of times i just kept trying and it worked but this last time nothing seemed to solve the problem. So i old-school troubleshooted the problem by opening task manager, going to process' and selecting all users when trying to start fire fox. And i noticed another set of process's opening and closing with fire fox under the name LVPrcSrv except there was one more of these process's than there were of fire fox so as soon as fire fox and the additional LVPrcSrv process's closed i manually ended the last remaining LVPrcSrv process and then tried to start fire fox again and this time it work. I'm worried this trick wont work again so i'd like to ask the Mozilla developer whats actually wrong with my fire fox so i can fix it before it becomes permanently inoperable.

I'm trying to sync my firefox account but everytime it appears, I have already did what it ask me to do in "Firefox Sync Verification Email FAQs" what do I do now? I need my bookmarks, GOD PLEASE.

This newest version provides search results of all kinds of off the wall engines like tikitoks.com, socialcatfish.com and many more obscure sites. How do I remove them from my google search results?

We have upgraded Mozilla Firefox v72 64Bit on Windows Server 2008 R2 and found that none of the pages are loading. Even Option(Settings) is not opening. It shows blank page. Tried re-installation, restart of system and nothing works.

This is NOT about auto-fill. For at least a month now, Firefox has not been recognizing forms on a variety of websites. This morning I was looking at a clothing website, but no matter what I did, I could not enter a size and then choose a color for any items. I opened another browser, and the website worked fine. I just tried to renew library books, and again, in Firefox, nothing I tried to do on the website worked. In another browser, the website worked fine. I have filled out almost an entire form on some websites, and then one box that I must fill out ("state" for example) doesn't work, and I can't complete the form. In another browser, the website form works fine. What's going on? I am updated with the latest version. This is happening on at least two computers.

I've been using PDFcreator for years. Just recently, when I print to PDF from Firefox, it has started producing PDFs that do not contain searchable text (ie where the text from the webpage becomes a raster image).

PDFcreator still works properly with all other software (including Chrome). Can anyone recommend a way I can make Firefox start behaving itself?

Like many users who have placed this same complaint on this forum and others, Firefox, when left active with even only a few tabs, uses all available RAM until my 16 GB machine is populated up to 98% and barely works (Dell Optiplex 5060, i7-8700, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10 64-bit; Firefox 72.0.2 (64-bit)).

When I shut Firefox down, I release 8 GB of RAM. I have used the "about:memory|Minimize Memory Usage" button with some success.

How can I make that memory setting permanent or the default, so I don't have to lose my research momentum by having to wait to get to a point where I can open the "about" settings window and manually click that button? It's very frustrating.

I've tested in Safe Mode, disabled any add-ons (I only have what Firefox supplied), and the condition still persists.

Making the "Minimize Memory Usage" setting, or an equivalent if there is one, permanent would help.

As a concern,we want to enquire that since our company has its own product which uses Flash technology but its been known now that firefox will not suppport adobe flash player after 2020. So if we save and continue to use an oder version of firefox(with autoupdate off),will it allow to continue usage of Adobe Flash Player after 2020? Please confirm the same or any other workaround so that adobe flash player can be used within firefox after 2020 as well.

Since Firefox 73 was released I noticed after upgrading that Firefox became insanely slow on a significant number of websites. For example youtube.com or finance.yahoo.com were really slow at loading compared to Firefox 72. CPU usage on one of my cores goes very high.

This page for example would load the main screen fairly quick then it would stall while it loads all the stock widgets on the page which it doesn't do with Firefox 72 :

In general I've noticed an overall loading sluggishness even with simple pages like google.com etc. Just not as snappy to load.

In all cases Firefox 72 and Chrome work fast and snappy. Tried Firefox 73 and Firefox 76+ and they run awful.

When I first noticed the issue back when Firefox73 was released, I gave up and rolled back to a Firefox 72 backup and thought it was probably a bug that would be sorted later. Tried again today with Firefox 76 and I still have the same issue so I have had to roll back to Firefox 72 again.

Things I have tried that have NOT helped :

Disabled all addons/extensions Set Default Theme Disabled DNS over HTTPS Cleared cache/cookies Deleted content-prefs.sqlite Disabled hardware acceleration Tried different values for content process limit Disabled smooth scrolling

Can anyone help please or am I going to be stuck on Firefox 72 forever?

From a non-programmer who used Chrome a lot until recently:

If I hit Cntrl-H like I would in Chrome, I get a frustratingly limited view. Why does it not show timestamps? So I spend time searching and find out about the Library window, and Control+Shift+H. Okay, so that's at least making it possible to see timestamps. Typing this right now, I don't remember if I had to manually add a column to see timestamps, but if I did Jesus Christ. I nearly installed some other software (MZHistoryView) before finding out about Control+Shift+H, just to see timestamps.

Also, every time I press the awkward Control+Shift+H hotkey, it resets the view to "Today". I don't know why it wouldn't default to "Just keep scrolling for as many days as you want". If I search for a specific site immediately after opening the window, then it includes entries for more days than just today. But before searching, it cuts off my view to just today. What's the point of that? Who would want such a restriction as the default view?

I have avoided upgrading to the latest Firefox for over a year now because new versions always move the tabs back to the top of the browser window. But this time when Firefox reloaded it upgraded itself and I had no choice. I was a graphic artist for decades, and it makes no sense to have the tabs all the way at the top, because your eye has to jump up to the top, away from the window itself, every time you want to move between tabs. It makes no sense, but so far Firefox has ignored these complaints (I'm not the only one) and has not offered a simple toggle in preferences or somewhere to move the tabs where they should IMO be.

I seem to have lost the instructions to do my own coding to move the damn things, and I would really appreciate if someone could tell me how I can move them back where they belong. And Firefox, PLEASE. People have been requesting this for several years now that I'm aware of, so PLEASE make this simple change and allow users the choice of how their browser windows should look.

HI I JUST REINSTALLED WIN 10 AND REINSTALLED FIREFOX I SIGNED IN TO MY ACCOUNT AND PRESSED SYNC BUTTON , BUT NOTHING HAPPENED . NO LOGIN NO BOOKMARKS NO SAVED FEATURES ,NO COOKIES . NOTHING CAME BACK . I TRIED REINSTALL FIREFOX AND LOGGED OUT AND IN AGAIN BUT NOTHING ! PLEASE HELP

Right now the startup screen and the default search engine is Yahoo. I change it back to google (which is what i had) but when i restart Firefox, i see yahoo again. Also the default search engine is yahoo again.

I tried to post this question in the correct forum, but there is no option to choose Firefox Send as a product when asking a question. The Firefox Send forum at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/firefox-send appears to be empty and I didn't see a way to post there directly.

An email account at my school district was recently compromised and had sent out 122 malicious phishing links via Firefox Send before we stopped it and took control of the account back. I have the list of malicious Firefox Send links and I'd like to share them with the proper people at Mozilla so something can be done.

The files are all password-protected archives (I know the passwords) that contain malicious VBS files which have their code heavily obfuscated. I haven't yet tried to figure out what the VB scripts do - I was hoping a cyber security professional would be willing to take a look.

Someone please contact me so I can at least try to get the files taken down.

If I were to make a feature request for Firefox Send, it would be to add a button to report a file as malicious.
