why is it that ever since the FORCED update crap, i can no longer have ad blockers? why am i now FORCED to watch ads for videos as short as 1 minute 52 seconds?

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH YOU GUYS AT MOZILLA? firefox USED TO BE something i would recommend to people but, now that i can no longer have facebook container, any ad blockers or anything else for privacy, i dont see no reason to recommend firefox any longer. if i have to continue waiting 10-15 minutes for a 5 minute video to load just so the ads can load first, and i can no longer have ANY privacy online, there is no need for me to continue using firefox because i can go through the EXACT SAME BULLCRAP USING google or internet explorer, i can have the SAME amount of time and bandwidth WASTED on ads as using google or internet explorer.

i got a message from you guys saying i HAD NO CHOICE but to update or not be able to use the internet, i tried, then you guys sent me the message that i can NOT update for windows 7 (even though your site said windows 7 CAN get the up to date firefox web browser) because my computer is TOO DAM OLD! WHY THE HELL DO YOU LIE TO PEOPLE LIKE THAT! NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD THE COST OF A NEW COMPUTER EVERY TIME WE TURN AROUND! ESPECIALLY US WHO ARE DISABLED AND ARE ON A FIXED INCOME!

IF I WANTED TO WATCH SO MANY ADS, I WOULD GET A SATELITE DISH AND WATCH THE PARAMOUNT NETWORK!

NO privacy while web browsing? so you guys are just letting facebook track me online now! what the hell?? not to mention 300 ADS instead of seeing what my friends post to face book or the pages i am following!

want me top stay with you guys for a web browser? then i need the ad blockers add-ons and privacy ad-ons back!

ps. word of mouth spreads pretty fast!

Meaning of question marks in Release Calendar next to some releases?

I try to update Firefox once a month, but every 6 hours I am notified about the release of a new version, so I have to click Cancel. Is it possible to increase this interval (at least to 24 hours) or disable it altogether?

I tried changing settings "app.update.interval" and "app.update.background.interval" but it didn't help.

Hi, I just installed the latest update (I think it's 136.0.2). I guess I skipped some/several versions. Suddenly my main menu isn't workin anymore (clicking it with the mouse, that is) There is some overlay which I can't find out, how to remove. Even the Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons don't have any function. Luckily I can still access the menu via keyboard shortcuts. How can I remove that overlay bar ... or did I catch some malware ?

She denied permission to install helper at first, but that caused firefox to be dysfunctional. Retrying the install and giving permission to install the helper did not correct the problem. Her laptop is pretty much down for the count on this problem - firefox does not come up. Endless spinning beachball.

Is a work-around available?

It seems there is some conflict between the firefox helper and her VPN, private internet access (PIA) adding the login background task. She's. been using PIA for years.

I would try removing and re-installing firefox as a work-around but that would destroy the her bookmarks she relies on.

Thanks, Jerry

I am tired of this bullshit.

So i was using the beta branch of the firefox and beta version stopped working with a site for some time. so i tried to come back to the stable version.

After i do that and fix my config. In every couple of hours there would be a notification window pop up with sound saying this

"firefox this profile was last used with a newer version of this application. Please create a new profile"

So i did create a new profile BUT i copy pasted my own configuration.UI stuff from my old settings from "About:config"

This notification STILL comes up FFS what do i need to do then?

HOW COME MY UI CONFIGURATION TRIGGERS THE DAMN NOTIFICATION?

I will not re-do my fckng UI configuration by hand.

As the subject says and the issue being there seems to be no info regarding what "helper" is being installed !

I'm on macOS Big Sur and the update does not finish if admin password is not given...

So, what helper is it ?

Did I miss something (quite possible although I made several attempts) ?

Thanks in advance!

Is there any Add-on that will shoot a scrolling screenshot (full page screenshot)?

For reference, there's an excellent extension on Chrome/Brave called "Go full screen" which has simple but perfect functionality, one-click automation, saves as either .pdf or .png format to your downloads folder.

Recently my AdBlocker extension in Firefox was disabled. At first I thought it was just a bug, but after I closed and restarted Firefox, it was still disabled, installing various other ad blocking extensions was thwarted by Firefox claiming these extensions are corrupt! I tried other approaches, including installing from github and from third party extension library; all are stopped by Firefox. I checked Firefox update, it claims that the latest version I can upgrade to is v127 (I'm using v126), so I think it's not due to Firefox not up to date. I spent a lot of time figuring these out, most pointing to Firefox banning Chinese users from using ad blocking extensions. After all these frustrations, I updated Firefox to v127, thinking updating to the latest version won't hurt, and these extensions are still disabled, installing ad blocking extension is still not successful. But somehow I checked whether I'm using the latest version, and BAM, I can now upgrade to v136. After the update, all these problems were solved. IF ONLY Firefox can provide some useful info of why my extension is now disabled, and why installing extensions are not successful, it would save me a lot of time and trouble. You dumb lazy people!

Dear Firefox Add-ons Team,

I hope this email finds you well.

We have noticed that the review process for Firefox extensions is significantly slower compared to other browsers. For instance, Chrome and Edge typically complete their review within two hours, whereas Firefox takes considerably longer.

When issues arise with our extension, we need to release an updated version as soon as possible. Sometimes, these situations are urgent, and the prolonged review time makes it difficult to provide users with the latest fixes and improvements promptly. This delay negatively impacts the user experience.

We kindly request that you consider optimizing the review process to help developers deliver timely updates and ensure a smoother experience for Firefox users.

Thank you for your time and support. We appreciate your efforts in maintaining the Firefox ecosystem.

Best regards, Coupert Development Team

Last week, all 11 of my Firefox extensions, which I've been using for years, were suddenly disabled. For each I got the same message: "[Extension name] could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled." Following Firefox's instructions, in about:config I switched "extensions.langpacks.signatures.required" to FALSE, restarted my computer, but nothing changed. I tried reinstalling the extension Adblock Plus from Firefox's own list of add-ons, got the message "Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt." Any idea what's going on and what I can do?? Thank you.

iMac OS 10.11.6 El Capitan; Firefox version 78.15.0esr (64-bit)

On my Macbook Pro — OS 12.7.6 Monterey, Firefox version 136.0.2 (64-bit) — the same extensions work just fine.
