firefox recently started to hang up. I have used Mozilla since the old Netscape days and would surely hate to stop now but I can't deal with this.

Hello,
Am using Mozilla Firefox installed via flatpak on openSUSE. Certain pdfs display correctly but other pdfs displayed with Firefox (either locally or online) are displayed badly: spaces are replaced with a lower half block character, fonts not sharp. I installed Firefox from the openSUSE repos (not from flathub) and opened the same pdf and it displayed correctly. I downloaded the pdf and opened it using Okular and no problems. I also opened the “troublesome” pdfs on Firefox in Windows and it displays correctly. I conclude that the flatpak version of Firefox is causing some pdfs to display incorrectly but I don’t know why.
I installed flatseal to tweak the flatpak Firefox’s settings but nothing seemed to fix the pdf display issue. Please see screenshot below of how Firefox (from openSUSE repos, on the left hand side) and Firefox (from flathub, on the right hand side) display the same pdf from the internet. The online pdf in the screenshot and used as an example of the issue can be found at:
https://www.jrf.org.uk/sites/default/files/jrf/files-research/international_cities_rotterdam.pdf
Not sure why some pdfs display correctly in Firefox from flathub and others display incorrectly. I’d prefer to use flatpak’s sandboxed Firefox if possible. Is there anyone else with the same problem or someone who who found a solution to this issue?
Thanks

I want to change the font and size of the toolbar and menu because when I open it up the words are quite small and kinda messy for my eyes.

Whenever the Firefox browser updates, it asks me to close the browser and will not let me open up any new tabs nor update existing tabs without a 'close your browser' message popping up. This is incredibly inconvenient for me. When I'm doing something important, like filling out a form, and it updates. I often have to close the tab that I'm doing something important on and then having to redo EVERYTHING. I would really like it if Firefox would ask or remind me to update instead of force one on me and disabling what I can do with the browser until I do.

Firefox 114.0, Windows 11 Home Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621 , 1Password-4.6.2.626 extension
Today, for reasons unknown, my 1Password extension, (an old and non-updatable version that I've used for many, many years), is non-responsive. The icon still resides in the Tool Bar, Windows ToolTips "sees" it as "1Password", but clicking on the icon has no effect. The extension is shown as Enabled in Firefox's Manage Your Extensions page.
I think I've tried all the "usual" things here: rebooted the computer, uninstalled and re-installed the extension and rebooting, checked the setting in 1Password itself to see that it's associated with "Mozilla Firefox 114.0", (the program still opens fine outside the browser).
This seems to be related to Firefox 114.0. On my other computer with the same Windows 11 version but using Firefox 113.0.1 had no problem with 1Password, but as soon as Firefox updated to 114.0 the same problem with 1Password appeared.
Anything that I might be able to do to get 1Password working?

When using Firefox on OSX (Ventura 13.4) after about 1 day Firefox slows down so much I have to quit the application and restart it. Then it is back to normal speed. I'm not sure if this is an OS-X issue or Firefox issue, but restarting the app fixes it for a few hours, then its incredible slow again.

I had to reset my laptop, lost all passwords and sign ons. Is there a way to get them back? If not can someone else use them?

Two questions, please
1) My Firefox ANT add-on extension apparently has a file "time limit" set to greater than 2 minutes. In other words, if I try to download a file online that is 2 minutes or less in time (i.e.- an audio file), the ANT application does see recognize or allow it. Is there a way to change this so that any file, regardless of time, can be downloaded?
2) Whenever I open Firefox, a Mozilla Policy File also opens in a second tab. Is there a way to stop this from happening every single time? It's VERY annoying!
Thanks so much!
When Firefox default browser goes on it has Xfinity Discovery Hub attached to it and it over rides Firefox. How do you correct?
How do I uninstall Firefox Nightly? The normal uninstall procedure only provides a refresh option, it does not allow uninstalling the app.

I set my browser to use English instead of my local language and I expect sites to use English by default. Now for some reason Gmail showed me a "do you want to leave this page" browser dialogue in language other than English.
Turns out, there's a new(?) option to set alternative interface languages, and I suppose websites can now choose which one to use?
Wow, just noticed, even tooltips on this website aren't in English anymore. This is extremely annoying.
I'd love to remove the alternate language from that list and leave Firefox interface exclusively in English. There is no option to remove the second language, only to move priority (see screenshot).
Searching through about:config with "language" didn't help. The closest relevant result was for the dictionaries. I do not have problems with dictionaries; "alternate" did not bring any relevant results either.
