Здравствуйте. Пожалуйста помогите. Нахожусь на Украине. Пользуюсь браузером более 10 лет. До вчерашнего дня всё было хорошо. После того как раз в месяц запрашивает подтверждение входа через логин и пароль не могу войти в аккаунт сайта OLX. С другими аккаунтами проблем нет. Только OLX. При введении электронной почты и пароля для входа после нажатия кнопки ,,Войти" появляется надпись - ,,Не удалось подтвердить пользователя" - скриншот 1. Через несколько минут меняется окно - скриншот 2. Уже неоднократно испробовал все способы - вводил пароль вручную, удалял историю кэш и куки, перезапускал браузер и компьютер, делал сброс пароля и другое. Хотя в смартфоне и других браузерах на компьютере входит без проблем. Подскажите пожалуйста в чём проблема. С ув. asdf47.

Firefox is my default browser on my desktop Windows 10. Until a few days ago all was great. But now when I turn my computer on and Firefox opens, things go very slowly. Opening a new window (tab) can take up to a minute. If I get 3/4 windows open, moving from one to another can take ages. Eventually, after about five minutes, everything is as it should be, and I can do everything at the usual great speed. But if I am away from the computer for an hour or so and then return to it, everything is ridiculously slow again. After about five minutes, it's flying again! Once it gets going again, things are so good and fast I can't believe there is a major problem. I have done a Refresh of Firefox, but no joy. I have turned the computer on/off/on at the mains, but no joy. I don't want to do an Uninstall/Install unless really necessary. I have 8GB of Ram, and loads of space on the C drive. But I am NOT tech savvy at all. When I go to Task Manager, it can show up to a dozen processes for Firefox. Is that normal? If I have only Firefox open, Memory shows at 50%. Is that normal? I would be grateful for any ideas. But I repeat, I am tech useless, so I need everything spelled out in the most basic English. I look forward to hearing from somebody! Thanks.

Let me explain our situation.

We have the following setup, we use RES in Citrix and on the Citrix servers is Firefox ESR installed; version 82.03 Now after months of use, our Citrix servers are filling up. After investigation, it turned out that the RES FireFox Application cache file was more than 1GB for some users. They had several, some over 100 profile (default-release) folders. Each with approximately 20MB of data. How can we solve this? Throwing away the RES cache file is an idea, but that also removes all settings, favorites and the like. Not the nicest solution.

Only very recently (last 1-2 weeks?) I've noticed that Google Maps refuses to open the full version in Firefox. I have FF 83.0 in Ubuntu 20.04.1.

You can (try to) force the full version to load with this URL: https://www.google.com/maps?force=webgl

But if I go to that address, a known message pops up at the bottom: "We’re sorry, only the lite mode of the new Google Maps is available at this time."

Same happens in a private window.

If I open it in Chrome browser in Linux, it loads fine.


I suspect this is a Google issue or choice to limit the functionality, but just want to check if other Linux Firefox users are seeing this??

If not, any suggestions for something to try? Like I said, it only became a thing very recently.

Running Firefox 83.0 on Ubuntu (20.04). After upgrading Ubuntu to current version, Firefox will not load Yahoo e-mail in regular mode. Just thrashes and does nothing. All other websites working fine.

Tried safe mode, and Yahoo mail loads just fine in safe mode. As such, I turned off hardware acceleration. Did not help. Then disabled the only extension I had on Firefox. Then outright removed extension. Cleared cache. Nothing.

Yahoo mail still loads just fine in safe mode, but simply will not load in regular mode. I can access the yahoo main page, but if I click into yahoo mail from there it doesn't load that way either.

On my 2017 iMac, OS 10.15.x, I'm running an app-blocking firewall, called HandsOff! by OnePeriodic, which is great at controlling which system processes can connect and report to the web. Firefox (v.83.0) runs fine until a few specific system daemons make contact with my computer, after which no page will load. The daemons in question are remindd, mediasharingd, touristd, and amsaccountsd. Normally HandsOff! sets my preferences for each process, to refer to when those processes attempt another connection. However, these four daemons' prefs do not remain in the settings, yet FFox still refuses to load. Not sure if all daemons are to blame, or only 1 or 2, but they seem related. Other browsers do not work either, but Tor Browser works fine! (which i'm using to send this msg.) My only remedy is to un-install and re-install HandsOff!. Then FFox and others work great until those daemons show up again.

I realize this is partially a HandsOff! issue, but i wish i could start a group email between developers at Mozilla, Tor, and One Periodic, to compare why Tor is the only browser to get through, and to overcome this block.

Recently, I have been experiencing issues with several of my Office365 SharePoint websites: some page elements are not loading, other are constantly reloading. In order to access my documents, I have to switch to either Edge or Chrome. Also some other pages sometimes have similar issues (xing.com and others). I have deleted all Mozilla files in %APPDATA% and reinstalled Firefox, which did not help. Looks like there is an issue with the current release (83.0).

After I resume Windows from sleep, the Whatsapp web app becomes very slow to type in, and the whole browser becomes sluggish as a whole while typing (like this one).

I noticed extra processes being created after each resume. I think it maxes to 2 processes, but I'm not sure at this point as it needs further testing. See the attached image.

I can't get firefox wound working in flatpak. The only clue:

In Chrome, YouTube works perfectly fine and has no problem at any quality, but on Firefox videos start to pause for a few seconds while the audio keeps playing and then come back again, only to pause once more. The extensions I'm using are Duckduckgo privacy essentials and Privacy Badger. Please help because I don't want to switch to Chrome.

While using Firefox, I was watching a video when all of a sudden the entire thing crash and when I tried to reboot it, the installation directory, the cookies and everything else involving Firefox was completely gone. No sign of it anywhere, has this ever happened to anyone else here?

I have a Dell XPS with dual GPU - integrated and dedicated. I've been having Firefox tabs crashing ever since updating my Intel drivers.

The newest driver update fixes some sluggishness I was having, but now Firefox is crashing.


Things I've done:

Reinstalled a fresh copy of Firefox Disabled Hardware Acceleration Reinstalled the iGPU driver Downgraded Firefox 1 version Chkdsk'd

This is basically a copy of what I put in the Ubuntu forum. The problem is the same, no matter where I post it.

Originally I was using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

I thought it would be good to update to GG (20.10) though I did briefly try FF (20.04).

As the install was done on an existing 18.04 version things remained the same for programs, book marks, etc.

Ok, now the crunch: I USE Firefox ""A LOT"". When it loads, there are...... 8 x 6 windows of FireFox and each of those have anywhere from one to ""THIRTY"" tabs loading.

Believe me: ""It worked!!""

I could use it, also run other tasks as well - though a VM was pushing it with the RAM. But the entire machine worked.

Now, I am lucky if FireFox loads at all. Let alone let me browse.

When it loads some of the window's tops are flashing. A screen shot does not really show this. (I tried)

All that has changed is the O/S from 18.04 and Firefox from (what ever it was) to 83.0

I don't want this to be a finger pointing exercise between Mozilla and Ubuntu. I would prefer it is helpful to all.

What have I tried? I've tried starting FireFox with all addons disabled. Still happens.

I am going to try to remember to (next time) launch FireFox from a Terminal and pipe the output to a file to look for things.

The machine I am using has shown it is well up to being able to have this running. I have had it working for a few years like this.

This post is (for now) to establish there is a problem. I will post more information when I get it, rather than waiting to get it then post, as I feel there are a lot of people who have very similar problems and I want it known: ""You are not alone!""


Now a bit of extra stuff.

Other things which are weird: When I am watching stuff - youtube for example - the playback is/WAS jerky. I hadn't touched anything in the settings.

After digging around, I discovered that I had to turn ""OFF"" the hardware acceleration for the graphics. Question: How did it get turned on? (Semi rhetorical)

I have a lot of local pages I open with passwords. When I load them the CPU load goes through the roof and nearly invariably the program just exits. No crash report.

Which is a good 50% of how it happens. The other 50% is the machine just locks up and I have to power it down.

I've used Firefox for Mac for decades without any problems.

When I upgraded the Mac OS to Big Sur a few weeks ago, my Mac started crashing frequently, several times a day, sometimes within seconds. After numerous trials, I discovered that the cause was Firefox. If I remove Firefox (along with all the profile information) and use Safari instead, the Mac never crashes. If I download a fresh copy of Firefox and start using it, the mac crashes within hours.

Does anybody know why the latest version of Firefox does not work on Big Sur? Is there a remedy coming? Safari is okay, but I really miss Firefox, and I would like to go back if the problem can be fixed. Thank you.

I often open several tabs from a website in new background tabs in quick succession. Up till a couple of months . ago there wasnt a problem, it may bog down the browser for a second or two but it would all load and display correctly given in time.

What since than had occured is that certain tabs opened that way will be stuck in the loading phase of the site. Usually it will display a blank tab that gets partially rendered when I move the tab in the tab bar. When I say partially rendered I mean it looks like the sites content is displayed but no css is applied.

Whats strange is the data gets to the browser but it gets stuck at some point. Now Im wondering how I can fix that or at least force the page to render without using my mouse to drag tabs around. Which doesnt necessarilly work 100% off the time.
