I'm currently running Ubuntu 20.04 although this problem began yesterday while I used Ubuntu 18.04. Simply put, I went to sleep on February 26 and on February 27 when I tried to start up firefox I only get the crash reporter. I am able to run 78.8.0esr thankfully, however I would greatly prefer to use the latest version of the browser. I can think of nothing I did between shutting down my browser on the 26 and waking up the next morning. Firefox will not start up in safe mode. I clean install from the snap store or ubuntu repositories has done nothing.

Below is my crash ID and i've attached all the details the crash reporter gives me.

Problem: FIrefox suddenly quit working. Firefox refuses to load anything including local, external, and firefox config pages. When attempting to go to a webpage or config page by pressing the enter button nothing happens and the page is entirely blank. The developer console does not open. After about 2 minutes of not doing anything, it crashes. Issue persists past re-installs. I am unable to submit a bug report as normal(I only have pending crash reports), as when I attempted, it said "something unexpected happened" and then the bug report itself crashes.

Chrome works normally as expected.

Troubleshooting steps taken:

• Refresh and safe mode
• Launched in incognito
• apt-get purge
• Removing profile
• removing .mozilla, .adobe, .macromedia, /etc/firefox, firefox-extensions, .cache
• installing nightly, beta, reinstalled multiple times.

Current workaround: Using chrome

Soooo idk why this is happening to my firefox whenever i search things this always happen. I dont know how to fix it. If anyone can help me that would be great. Thank you

Whenever I click on a file to download in Firefox the dialogue box pops up asking what I would like to do with the file. I can select Open or Save as usual, but no matter what I press or how long I wait the ok button remains greyed out and unselectable. This means I can't download anything in Firefox which is very frustrating. Downloading works fine in other browsers.

So far I have run the refresh thing on Firefox which hasn't helped. I do not have any Parental Controls on as far as I know, this is a brand new computer, no children use any computers in this house and I have never activated anything like that. I have also cleared the downloads folder which had no affect either.

I just can't work out why it isn't working.

GM Last Saturday morning Firefox crashed and my troubles started. Firefox works fine 2 other computers in the house just mine seems to affected. I have done everything that I could find on line to no avail. I would like some help PLEASE Greg

This page https://www.nacocanada.com/cpages/common-docs is broken and has a newsletter sign up overlay that can't be closed. So i hide the element with uBlock origin but the underlying page still doesn't scroll. If i make the window taller more content appears, so it is there.

How do I force enable the scroll bar for all websites or at least this one?

Started yesterday March 1st. Linux Mint Firefox 86 Brother HLL 2300 printer

Was working fine day before. Went to print and it stops after (it appears) to start sending to the printer. Pops up an error message. Run diagnose and it returns with "The printers state message is "Filter Failed"

Prints fine with any other browser of software.

I have tired all the reset printers instructions on here. Including editing the config file.

I realize Firefox is free, so I should not complain, but why oh why has Mozilla changed the Firefox print interface in Version 86? Print Preview has gone. The controls are on the wrong side. It now resembles Google Chrome, which is just horrendous! Half the options are hidden so it takes twice as long to do what one wants to do. The interface is much more clumsy. I could go on. How do I reverse this? I cannot work with it! I uninstalled v86 and installed v85, and the horrendous print layout is still there!! Thanks in advance

And why is Firefox feebback page no longer working?

I updated to FF 17 about an hour ago and since then the back & refresh buttons no longer work. I do not have McAfee site advisor or tab mix plus on my browser.

How do I fix this? It's making my browsing VERY difficult and I have work to do.

Did a manual "About Firefox" update. Typed in system pwd after download, clicked Force Quit All, Firefox hung. Had to Force Quit Firefox. Restarted, and I get a "Javascript Application Permission to read file was denied." every time Firefox starts. Nothing in error console.

The error message from Firefox is: The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

About 4 days ago, Adobe Flash Player updated to 11.5 and started crashing multiple times a day. So when Firefox updated to 17 today, I immediately uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled the new versions in hope that the problems would be fixed. When that wasn't the case, I followed all the steps for Flash 11.3 and nothing has worked. This is only happening in Firefox. Flash works fine in Google Chrome and in Internet Explorer. My school's primary requirement is that I use Firefox with Flash to do my schoolwork. This is an issue if I have to restart Firefox multiple times during my session. 25% of all Flash crashes also crash Firefox. I need help soon.

Win7 on DELL XPS9000-----64bit. Successfully run IE, Safari and Chrome. Download Mozilla Firefox 17 (and other versions before 17) Firefox home page loads----------but nothing else loads! i.e., can not access other pages, such as nbcnews, etc.----Nothing.

My laptop runs firefox nicely; I like firefox--------but I can't wait for the thing to never load.

Updated today and feel like I am on a 300 baud modem. No other changes.

Any new settings or tweaks I should know? I can;t browse as it is and either need a fix or need to roll back to 16.
