Please can someone explain to me. I go to a different place to work and I go on firefox and login to my account to sync all the passwords and saved websites needed to do my work. Finishing my work I am clearing all the history from today (yes, ticking all the boxes) and disconnecting from my Firefox account. HOWEVER, even doing it a few times and restarting firefox didn't remove all the Google accounts etc.

I don't want to sound like a drama queen but how can I trust Firefox? What was I supposed to do to ACTUALLY clear my activity to leave the place hoping for people using the PC in the following days to not see my accounts! Any advice will be much appreciated.

I lost all my windows and tabs on the latest firefox upgrade and I am trying to restore the session.

I've done this many times in the pat and I know it is as simple as renaming the old session file and moving it, but I never seem to remember exactly what I need to rename and move! I wish there was a simple tool that did this, as I always seem to waste a lot of time trying to remember and figure it out.

Anyway, I found the previous session in the backup session folder . I renamed it: "sessionstore.jsonlz4" and moved it to the main folder - but this didn't work. Actually, whatever happened it erased the file! Fortunately I still have another version of the file backed up.

What do I need to name this file and where do I need to put it so that Firefox will recognize it as a previous session and allow me to load it?

For the love of all that is keeping me alive at the moment please help solving the issue of spell checker not working.

I have a new MacBook Pro and setup Firfox by installing it and siging in to sync.

The spell checker does not underline the words as I type here or in Google or WhatsApp Web.

Also when I right click no language opion appears.

I does work in Gmail for some weird reason.

After follwing a suggestion of installing an add-on dictionary and resarting Firefox, no change came about.

For probably about a week now, I have not been able to read the font! I cannot change it either! It is horrible, and if we can't get it fixed I will have to use another browser! The font is faint, small and I've tried changing it several times. I don't have this problem on any other browser! In fact I totally uninstalled it this am hoping that would fix it! No such Luck!

Ok so this really has me pulling my hair out. My old laptop died the other day and so I bought a new one and put my old drive in an enclosure. I had my Firefox heavily customised (over the past eight years) and I don't know how to transfer it over. It used to be that I would just copy the users over and everything would be cool (XP to W7 didn't give me this problem) but it's not working this time. My guess is that it's because my old laptop used Windows 7 Ultimate x64. My desktop monster uses Windows 10 Pro but this new laptop uses Windows 10 Home (which is just awful compared to Pro) so there's probably an issue with how the user profiles are handled. I didn't have a Firefox account because I didn't want every machine I use to have the same Firefox setup. This was because my desktop and laptop are used for different purposes entirely.

Does anyone know how to import the settings from a Windows 7 profile to a Windows 10 profile? So far, I've had no luck whatsoever. Thanks!

I just installed Firefox onto a new laptop, but the Bookmarks Toolbar shows the generic "globe" icons for most of my webpages, instead of the page-specific icons.

I am logged in an synced with my other devices that use Firefox.

I have a problem when restoring the file from one computer to another, when I want to restore it it gives this error "Unable to process the backup file". I have been looking for some program that allows me to unzip or remove the data or repair.

Hi community, I want to bookmark only sites I wish to return to, but it seems that my entire history is bookmarked. I don't mind Firefox remembering my entire history, but it seems as though one's history and bookmarks and library are one and the same thing. I started using, "tags" to deal with it, but even tags require me to dig through my library/entire history to find them. Isn't there some way to have my bookmarks be separate from my history/library? Thanks in advance!

I asked this previously on Twitter and after the fixes suggested didn't work (at least not permanently), support on Twitter sent me here. (Would have been nice for you to determine the appropriate forum and topic rather than me having to do it, by the way, "AT").

I am still getting a dragging slow Firefox using what seems like an inordinate amount of memory (though I could be wrong, check the images). My first message to support included the first image with the comment: "Yes, I've already refreshed Firefox. Yes, I've cleared my cache. Yes, I've removed all of my extensions/add-ons, though I need them back now." I then followed the instructions to try "disabling Firefox Hardware Acceleration and deleting content-prefs.sqlite".

Deleting sqlite and disabling FHA seemed to work for a while but a) is there a script I can run to auto-delete the content-prefs.sqlite daily so I can depend on your browser. And more pressing, b)second image memory usage.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Since the last update, I am receiving the error message SSL_ERROR_BAD_MAC_ALERT when I access one website that I need to use as part of my work.

It is a trusted site that I have used for many years. The error message above displays and I get the option to retry which usually works, but I lose any content up to that point.

I have contacted the website owners as suggested and they say it is a Mozilla issue. I found a couple of suggestions to fix this on-line, but it did not work.

Can you help?

I recently decided to upgrade my SSD and install Windows 10 on it. I was wondering how I can retrieve the my history/ bookmarks/ username and passwords from the previous SSD and install them on my new SSD.

Today i just restored my computer and my FF sync account got blocked at the login because (many tries) For the login i use my corporative email, to my bad luck just in time our net admin at my work was running a maintaince and the Firefox sync sent me (to my email for confirm it was me trying to login) never got delivered and lost.

I know all my account data (email and Password to login in FirefoxSync.)

What i can do to unlock it? i don't want start a new account, there's a lot of bookmarks and logins in my account.
