I hardly know how to describe the problem I've been having but I'm fed up with it! Just now I was in a site to purchase an item and clicked to go through PayPal. I could enter all my log in details for PayPal but it would not open the PayPal site. This has happened every time I've tried to use PayPal lately. I then have to go and use Edge and do my purchase through there, no problem at all.

Often when I've tried to open a log in window that opens in a separate pop up style window, that window will only open as a tiny window in the top left corner. I have to drag the bottom and sides to get it big enough to fill out. Then when you enter that info ready for the next section, it reverts right back to the tiny window once more. I've done all sorts of things in my settings and mostly no change. I did however get the bank log in window to stop doing it and work properly.

Another issue is the correct time for me here in Aust is no longer being recognised in some cases. One is the Track My Hours App. I enter 'Start now' and it says 6:55 AM when it's actually 4:55 PM on my computer clock! It is not the App as I now use it in Edge as well and it is fine there. I never used to have this problem with the much earlier versions of Firefox, it only started a month or so ago when I got a new computer with the latest version installed, at that stage I think it was 72 and I had other problems as well that finally got sorted.

I really want to continue using Firefox but can't do so with several sites and then waste a lot of time swapping over to another browser. I have version 83 now.

Can anyone please help!!! Thanks.

Hello everybody! I have a problem with https://www.krone.at/kreuzwortraetsel! When I want to enter a letter, I click on a field that turns yellow. When I type the letter, the field does not contain the same letter, but a small window opens, where the letter appears and to the right of it there is a comment. If I load the same puzzle with the Google Chrome Browser, this error does not occur. This error did not occur on 11.11.2020. How can you get rid of it? Dieter

It's pretty much it actually. I use windows 10 pro and mozilla's latest version. Zooming the screen happens randomly like once in 1 minute or 30 sec. Pinning someone else and unpinning solves the problem for a while but it happens randomly and frequently. I tried to close all extensions and it didn't helped. Opera browser is working fine if I compare. Thanks for the help, be safe.

I've been trying to figure out how to fix this and havent found anything in my google seartch settings, or firefox options or my PC's display settings, it might be right in front of me but I just cant figure it out.

On some pages, for example, when I do a google search on firefox, there is a ton of blank white space not used. Like it has a narrow page margin or something? I'm attaching a screenshot of what I mean. You can see half the screen is just white, how can I fix it so the display isnt so narrow? Not all pages have the blank space problem, for example outlook.com has no such issue.

Thank you in advance for helping me

Pocket is a fantastic idea - another essential element to support democracy.

However, some of the news articles are from websites like the NY Times and Washington Post which require accessors to SUBSCRIBE before being allowed to view the reporting content.

Even when you use the 2-second delay to hit ctrl-a and ctrl-c (select-all and copy) shortcuts, it is a nuisance and often requires repeat attempts.

SO, can the "wonderful brainiacs" of Moz/Firefox find alternative sources of the same content to avoid those sites requiring forced subscriptions?

I can still access and play YouTube videos but I can't sign in - which I need to do to see the videos I've subscribed to and notifications of when new videos are released. When I attempt to sign in, a screen comes up with what looks like stacked TV screens (see attached image) and "Oops! Something went wrong." That's all I get. I've checked to see if it's an issue with my virus software (Quick Heal) and they advise me it's a browser issue. I've made sure I have the latest version of the browser and I've cleared all history and cookies. Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you. (Please use plain English, I don't speak Computer!)

When a URL no longer exits, I get a 'redirect' and even it it does, sometimes it "steps on' the correct URL and several attempts are needed to get the correct URL to stick. The "net" gives instructions of: Step 1: Click the "Tools" menu tab in your Firefox browser and select "Options." Step 2: Select "Advanced" from the list of options at the top of the window.

But in Firefox release 83.xxx, "ADVANCED" option does not exist or I can not SEE it. Any idea on how to 'BLOCK REDIRECTS' and just get an error instead?

OR SIMPLE BLOCK URLS one just does not like without using the PARENTAL CONTROLS.

Ok, been having these issue like for a really long time, gaving up and switched to chrome for that time being and now even chrome has some bad issue so I am attempting to switch back. I know a lot of us are having the same problem with Kaspersky internet security, they said the next patch would fix it and I am sure the patch arrived. But firefox still has the above issue, and let me clarify the issues; youtube becoming weird, limited suggestion, and sometime shows I am not signed in which I am, and if you keep refreshing it, it would go back and forth in between your account and not signed in.... moreover, I can't type any comment, always with a returned error.... and finally, whenever I am logging in into my hotmail, my machine keeps prompting for security certificate clarification or something.... please help, its been a long while, trying to reinstall both the firefox and chrome, they both still have their respective issues..... thank you

I recently posted a question on how to fix Yahoo articles pictures not showing-up (it's about half of the pictures in some articles). It appears to be related to pictures that are tied to Instagram, Twitter, etc. I did get a couple of responses to my issue....thank you. The problem is that neither response fixed the problem. Yahoo is a major site that Firefox should fully support. Microsoft Edge works perfectly when using the Yahoo site. I have been a long, long time Firefox user on multiple devices, but I am about ready to switch to Edge for good if this can't be corrected. How do I (or anybody seeing this) let the Firefox developers know this problem needs to be fixed stat?

Thanks, Jim

I've just installed the latest Ubuntu OS on my computer and when starting Firefox i get this problem while trying to play the latest YouTube videos where they say "Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available. Click here to visit our frequently asked questions about HTML5 video." so I've tried to click on the link but then Firefox said my browser was already up to date. I've then tried to disable my adds on and try in safe mode but that did not help. I've tried installing some adds on, that didn't help either. I've tried uninstalling and installing back Firefox, that didn't work. every media.mediasource config are enabled, that didn't work. and when i try using another browser, the media can be played just fine (i used chromium). So if someone has any idea as to what might be causing this issue i'd be grateful (also, older video seems to be working just fine)

Recently, I have been blocked from visiting certain websites by Firefox, which are perfectly fine websites. I have to close out of Firefox and use Safari to connect to these websites. One of the websites is my City of San Bruno website: https://www.onlinebiller.com/sanbruno/index.html.

This is just one of several websites in which I'm told the website there is a potential security issue. Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue: I copy and pasted the warning below: "Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.onlinebiller.com because this website requires a secure connection. What can you do about it? www.onlinebiller.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

If you are on a corporate network or using anti-virus software, you can reach out to the support teams for assistance. You can also notify the website’s administrator about the problem."

I contacted the City of San Bruno and was told it's a browser problem. As I mentioned above I can connect to these sites through Safari with no problem.

Thank You for any explanation/assistance on how to connect to these websites using Firefox.

I started having an issue where I do not get any audio from Firefox. Everything else works fine. Firefox is not muted, it's not turned down in the mixer. I completely uninstalled using Revo Uninstaller to make sure ALL registry and directories were deleted. When I reinstalled it did not give me the "You've already installed" message, so I know this was a complete reinstall.... Still no audio at all.
