I would like to be able to completely refresh all scripts, images and code (absolutely everything on the page) when I click refresh for a tab. I am a web designer and firefox often serves up old content, regardless of whether I manually empty the cache or click refresh multiple times on a page. I tried some chanegs in the config file too which I saw for earlier versions of firefox but they don't seem to have helped. Any suggestions similar to cmd-shift-r that force a complete refresh of a page would be very much appreciated. Even if there is a way to turn caching off completely so that surfing the web was slower that would be preferable to be able to test site updates correctly. I use firebug so if there is an option in there for forcing full refresh of pages that could also help. I am using the most current version of firefox (43.0.4). Thanks

My understanding of how web pages work is that the web page name (URL) is translated to an IP address. So, can I find out what that address is for a web page which I have open? The reason for my interest is that when I type www.streamhunter.eu my Firefox browser comes back with Batmanstream.com or something like that. I want to know if this is the real streamhunter or a pirated web page. So, what IP address is Batmanstream using? I don't know. Oh, I am using Ubuntu 15.10 and Firefox 43.04.

I found a solution to my problem, but I just wanted to make the problem/solution available to all FireFox users ... Doing "Microsoft Print to PDF" I was getting "a error occurred while printing". This error also occurred trying to do "Microsoft XPS Document Writer". Using "Process Monitor" (from Sysinternals) found "access denied" entry. This occurred even though I had total security access and ownership too. I had been using a non-default "tmp" user environment variable. I set "tmp" back to the default and the problem went away. The problem was not occurring in the other browsers IE, Edge, or Chrome. Also, reinstalling FireFox did not solve the problem since the "tmp" variable was not affected by the reinstall.

Just prior to this had been reading email online. Saw email of strange origins, sent to spam, and then opened the email, being careful to not click on any links. Looked like email from which I'd not be clicking any links, so emptied spam folder. Do not remember from whence the email was sent. Something like Trump stop Hillary. Since I have no idea why I'd receive anything from Trump, I'm just a bit more suspicious there is a link.

Maybe this is connected, maybe not.

Regardless, using the long unused Opera browser, was able to access Fox News.

Checked out other sites. www.cnn.com okay

Then tried out a couple of sociologically related to Fox News sites, i.e., Amazon and Walmart. No problem with Amazon. Problems with dead links within Walmart.

Upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 went fine, but I notice that the Roboform toolbar is missing in Firefox in my wife's Standard User local account (but it IS there in IE11). The toolbar shows up as normal in both browsers in my Admistrative local user account. In Firefox, clicking on View/Toolbars does not show Roboform as an option. I've tried uninstalling Roboform and re-installing the most recent version but the same thing occurs.

Can anyone provide a solution to get the toolbar to show up?

I have a Mac and have Firefox 43.0.4 for my browser. I couldn't get an interactive website to work so did something with javascript. It was the wrong thing to do.

Gmail msg says: "JavaScript must be enabled in order for you to use Gmail in standard view. However, it seems JavaScript is either disabled or not supported by your browser. To use standard view, enable JavaScript by changing your browser options, then try again."

Somehow I ended up disabling javascript and now can't reactivate it. I need help as non of the sites are working now.

Thanks.

I backup the folder in %localappdata%\mozilla\firefox\profiles regularly. I just reinstalled windows on a new SSD, and installed firefox through Ninite. Doesn't seem to matter if I copy all the files into the new profile folder or delete that and copy the old profile folder over, neither way seems to want to take. I have 2 copies of this, 1 from earlier today(that seems like it might have somehow wiped itself out...it appears to have similar files to the fresh install, no sessionstore.js, search.json, etc.) and another from the 7th(of this month).

I don't know why it doesn't seem to want to take the profile, even though the backed up files stay in the folder after opening up firefox.

Using the F12 console, I saw that my request to watch a show was being rejected because "do not track" was enabled. I knew this wasn't right, so I checked FF options, and sure enough, it was not checked. I then used configuration mania to look at the Security/Privacy section, and "Enable Tracking Protection" showed being checked there. I unchecked it and hit Ctrl F5 in the CWTV window and BAZAAM! Episode started playing. I spent a few hours poking around until I found this, but it's worth it not to have to switch browsers to stream CWTV.
