i have used mozilla for many years, i HATE google! last night 12/31/24 duckduckgo was my search engine, i stayed up until 1 or 2am on 1/1/2025 and watched several youtube videos (i had been watching them all day) and turned my computer off and went to bed. around 9am 1/1/2025 i got up and turned on my computer, clicked mozilla in my toolbar and started a search, I GOT GOOGLE RESULTS, SO HIT THE BACK ARROW AND NOTICED GOOGLE WAS MY SEARCH ENGINE!! DID YOU DO AN UPDATE OR ANYTHING TO CHANGE MY SEARCH ENGINE TO GOOGLE? i managed to download duckduckgo and make it my search engine again. BUT i NEED to know if this happened on YOUR END, or if GOOGLE did something. I HAD NOT MADE ANY CHANGES TO MY COMPUTER ON 12/31/2024 OR THE EARLY MORNING HOURS AFTER MIDNIGHT!!!

IF MOZILLA DID THIS , I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY, BUT IF IT WAS NEFARIOUSLY DONE BY GOOGLE, THEN IM PISSED!!! THANK YOU!

Dear Firefox Team,

It has re-occurred to my Firefox Browser of the latest version of 115.28 with some websites which I have recently visited however which have appeared 8 grids of blank or white pages again under "Recent Activity" as attached with the image for your technical troubleshooting suggestion.

Those 8 grids of Recent Activity in the older version of Firefox browsers used to have shown colorful graphics or images representative of the recent websites I visited in the recent past.

May I know what I am supposed to do to recover those graphics or images?

Kindly offer any suggestion or solution?

whenever i stop, backtrack or advance a video as in youtube i can expect it to crash. the same with pages containing videos. also playing music sound clips i can guarantee a crash. this has been a problem for years.

I still have not had any improvement with tab crashes especially on sites containing videos. Lately, every time i go on Facebook and play a video reel, i stop the video and before i can return to my home page, the tab crashes. This browser has gotten worse rather than improving.

Hello. My tablet, has limited memory, due to its age. I am now finding that one of the main reasons why it is so slow is because whenever I open firefox, it opens multiple firefox processes which drain the memory and in some cases crashes the system. I have followed all the advice given to reduce these multiple processes, however nothing seems to work and at least 6-8 firefox processes open each time I open it. I have unchecked the recommended performance settings as well as hardware acceleration boxes. However, I cannot find where to set the content process limit to 1. Please tell me how to do this and if there anything else I can try to stop it opening multiple processes or I may be forced to ditch Firefox altogether for an alternate such as Bing, Chrome or DuckDuckGo. Hi. I am trying to get into chase.com web without success. Why I already try several download with different browsers.

A few times now, I have inadvertently opened a second Firefox window. The original Firefox window comes up with two pinned tabs. If I close the original window then when I start Firefox the next time, it no longer has pinned tabs. I am running Win8.1 on a desktop system.

I have been using the Firefox browser for years on the exact same computer running windows 8.1 that isn't having any issues or problems. Over the last 6 months the browser has been crashing every single day regardless of utilizing every setting mentioned in the help articles, numerous "refreshes" (numerous times it also freezes during refresh) and numerous reinstalls have done nothing. Every single day the browser crashes and I have to restart it or my whole computer. This is my last attempt to figure out what's happening before I stop ever using it again.

I still have windows 8.1. I do all my bill paying online. I can no longer open my banks website for online business. I thought Firefox had renewed support through 2026? Wasnt Firefox a search engine? The listed search s - none of them open banks etc.

Today as usual went to open Firefox but made the wrong choice instead of choosing do you want to allow fire fox to be your browser I chose the wrong button result message came up cannot open I think it was something like can not use I think it was like lcd.If that makes sense please help
