My Ledger is having a problem linking to MetaMask in Firefox. This happened to me a couple months ago and I followed the steps in the MetaMask support article about this very problem. I got it to work right away at that time by going to "about:config" and setting u2f to "true." I followed those same instructions again today to no success. I also updated to the current firmware on my Ledger device. I've restarted Firefox, my Ledger, and my computer in every order I can think of and nothing has changed. I've changed u2f to "false" then restarted and then back to "true" and restarted and nothing changed. I'm out of things to try so I'm messaging in hopes of finding a solution. Thanks.

Hey I've been having a few problems on the "power user" extreme side of day to day use. I've had a couple big crashes now on Firefox where my session doesn't restore and because I have hundreds of tabs open at any given time I always back them up manually from sessionstore in the folder system. The problem is the session store files always reflect my most recent session- the one that doesn't have anything in it. The older sessions like "previous" and "upgrade" are always weeks old.

Is there a way to save data more frequently into the session store backup folder, or to increase the number of recovery files available to reach back to older sessions? I'd like to count on a backup at least once a week that can't be overwritten by the current session loss.

When trying to save a bookmark, the menu used to select the folder no longer opens. The bookmark will just be saved in a folder that was selected before the update with this bug. But Firefox does not indicate which folder it was.

Help: The menue to choose a corresponding folder for a bookmark should be reactivated.

No third party extension from the Mozilla Add-On Store allows you to add your own sticky notes directly onto the Default Firefox Home Page. It seems to be because of security reasons. Could a sticky notes customization tool be built-in natively to Firefox itself to enable sticky notes to be created and pinned on the Default Firefox Home Page?

Was having troubles accessing tinkercad.com. Updated to Firefox 114.0.2 on win 7 64 pro. Can now access website but when I export a file from there, and try to open it from downloads, windows explorer gives error "not responding" when I choose restart the program, the file opens. This did not happen until upgraded firefox. And it did not happen in EDGE. I have system restored, and went back to the site not responding. updated fire fox again, and it keeps happening.

My win 7 works fine, and no, I do not want to update windows on this computer. thank you for your help.

When I change the name of the browser from "Firefox 64.0.app" to "Firefox.app", and launch "Firefox.app", it forgets all my bookmarks. How can I tell "Firefox.app" to use the bookmarks of "Firefox 64.0.app"?

I have no idea what happened. I signed into my Firefox account on my laptop in order to sync my devices, and now the format of every browser tab is completely different. It's very inaccessible and completely unusable to me now, and it's sending me into a panic. Does anybody know what this is and how to reverse it? Here's some examples of what it looks like now. It's even changed how the YouTube progress bar looks.

My system:

Acer VERITON MN: VM4630G-i7477X 32GB Ram 256GB SSD program drive 1-TB HDD data drive Win10Pro 64-bit with Taskbar configuration manager "7+TaskbarTweaker" FireFox v 114.0.1 (64-bit)

Problem:

I normally keep five (5) (or more!) FireFox windows open with over 43 tabs between them.

Each window can have from 4 to 20 tabs.

Whenever I shutdown, reboot & restart FireFox the order of the FF-windows shown in the Taskbar is never the same.

Prior to shutting down I have ordered the FF-windows the way I want them, but upon rebooting and restarting FF the FF-windows are never in the same order.

What to do?

Is there a setting I've missed?

Hi Mozilla/Firefox, I've just started using Firefox with DuckDuckGo because I loathed, hated and despised Bing on Microsoft. So far, everything is great. But, (there's always a but, isn't there?) when I used to sign on to my internet banking or any financial website, I used to get a text from the institution to a designated phone number held on their database giving me a six-digit code that I input to confirm that i was the person logging on to the account. Sadly, this extra bit of security does not happen any more. Is there a facility on the Firefox settings that I need to switch on for this to happen again, or do I need to revert back to Microsoft for my financial websites? Many thanks for your help. Peter W. Hi, something happened, and same computer working good for a long time, now is crashing as crazy. i sent a bunch of reports few minutes ago, one of them is bp-2d239006-2355-4fb0-b78e-76cce0230622. i can see my win 10 is not configured to work with Mozilla software (both Thunderbird and Firefox i am using crashes and no other programs i am using does this). i don't know exactly why, you know better from all those reports, i would like to get rid of them, be back a happy user, for sure. shouldn't all crashes be handled by the programs? let say it is a memory problem, an OS problem, anything and everything - when a program crashes, it didn't handle the situation. I'm not more a programmer, but if i give to someone a program which crashes, and after i tell him it is your environment, what kind of programmer i am? what knows the user? why is not possible to verify you will have the memory you want to use before using it? if there is no space find out, and handle it. you choose to crash. -- i replaced the hdd, (but i copy the same data on the new one) i replaced the memory, i replaced the motherboard, i replaced everything, but not the software. it is not a hardware problem here. only a bad management, os - program, ... program! thanks for your help.

I just installed Firefox on my iPhone and can't seem to sufficiently customize the homescreen. Specifically I can't find a way to delete 'Amazon sponsored' and 'Expedia sponsored' from the buttons that appear. I don't have use for these or any other corporate sponsored buttons and don't want to see them. My goal is to take better advantage of syncing to Firefox for Mac, and these buttons seriously interfere. It's also not letting me change the order of the buttons to better match my laptop screen. Please advise.

I use a public computer that resets itself every night. I want to login to my firefox account so I can receive all my settings, extensions, etc., when I login to sync.

However, when I login to sync, my default search provider remains as Google (the computer's default) and does not change to DuckDuckGo (the settings I previously had synced).

How do I set up sync so that when I login, it pulls all settings, etc., from the cloud, instead of keeping some that were configured locally?

'System theme — auto' does not work and causes CPU usage 100% I noticed this July 1 an increase in CPU usage of up to 100% when viewing videos on YouTube from Mozilla. I removed all my add-ons without improvement. I noticed that this phenomenon did not occur when viewing in 'full screen' but only in a window. By disabling the 'System theme — auto' theme, the problem disappeared. I noticed that this theme was updated to version 1.3 today July 1st. I add that this theme, which is supposed to follow the system theme, does not work correctly under Windows 10 when, as for my system personalized theme have been set. I have ‘title bar and windows borders’ in green option for active windows and in purple for inactive windows. Mozilla displays the 'title bar' in black.

It may be the website itself, but I need to manually refresh the page when I choose to go to any other option, shown on the page, is chosen. That is, is this a particular selection in the settings of Firefox?

I use Firefox on MacOS 13.4. to read mail from a provider. For some strange reason some mail bodies are being displayed with a completely garbled and unreadable font, see attached image. However, not all mail show this behaviour. Is there any solution for this?

My bookmarks keep multiplying and duplicating and I can't delete them. I've signed out on all other devices, refreshed FF, stopped sync, Other than a new user account, I'm not sure what else to do
