I have Ghostery installed and when going to a website the list of trackers Ghostery blocks shows up in the status block that Ghostery projects onto that web page. Then going to the security shield icon that Firefox has next to the 'Home' icon on the address bar, Firefox reports 'No trackers known to Firefox were detected on this page'.

Can someone explain the order of precedence for detecting and blocking trackers here? Does Ghostery intercept the web page load before Firefox analyzes the page for trackers? If Ghostery blocks trackers is this the reason Firefox does not detect trackers?

Running Firefox 104.0.2 on Windows 10 Pro - latest installed patches as of 9/21/22.

And finally does Ghostery (not running Ghostery Plus) keep a list of web URL and blocked trackers somewhere?

I am using v. 104.0.1 Every time I open the browser I get the pop-up notifying me that an update is available. I don't want to update at this time. I can and will update when I prefer to. How can I get this annoying pop-up to stop? Please don't make me go to Edge. Please.

This is pretty much a duplicate of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1334684 : I have the uBlock Origin and Skip Redirect extensions installed, both work by checking/modifying the URL of the site I am trying to visit.

Unfortunately, I am running into some sites that are re-directed via some tracking URLs. Here's one example I had today:

Original URL: https://sslh62px.r.us-east-2.awstrack.me/L0/https:%2F%2Fwww.allaboutcircuits.com%2Ftechnical-articles%2Fanalyzing-dc-and-steady-state-ac-circuits-with-python%2F/2/010f01832042551a-ed0a0774-ca39-4cd9-825e-a375504c6ea5-000000/c7T-m43jFRD5B3k49nHcvIOhCtM=71

As you can see, the destination URL is embedded within the tracker URL and as such, is exactly what Skip Redirect was designed to deal with. Unfortunately, uBlock Origin seems to look at the URL before Skip Redirect does and blocks it outright because it is a known tracker (awstrack.me).

If I could tell Firefox to let Skip Redirect modify the URL first (to https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/technical-articles/analyzing-dc-and-steady-state-ac-circuits-with-python/ ), uBlock Origin didn't need to block access to it.

Is there a way to change the order in which extensions are applied (i.e. get to run) when a URL is opened?

I have the volume control all the way up. I turn the volume control on videos all the way up. I have just updated Firefox. The sound is too low. Is there an add-on? It used to be OK, not now.

There was an issue with accessing the network for media playback. The sub-error code will contain what specific resource was unable to be accessed over the network. | NETWORK_ERROR encountered, code: 1400

This is only happening on desktop Firefox. Mobile device works fine.

I have Firefox installed on Linux (Fedora), Windows, and macOS, and on Windows and Mac, I can use ctrl (cmd on Mac) + shift + Y to open the Bitwarden extension. On Linux, this instead opens the downloads library (which is normally ctrl + shift + j...). Is there any way to change the shortcuts on Linux to be the same as the other two OSes? Judging by the many many open questions on this site about changing shortcuts, I'm not holding my breath...

How do I sync between to laptops? I would like to sync my settings and bookmarks. QR code generation is ridiculous. I do not want firefox on my phone.

I am running Unix Ubuntu 22.04 with Firefox 104.0.01 (64 bit). My Canon LBP 6230DW works fine in my word processor and in Chrome, but it does not show up in the Printer destination field when I am in Firefox. The only print option is to "Save as PDF." How do I get the Canon to be a print destination in Firefox?

I have been attempting to remove the block over my proxy settings. I have disabled VPN, removed Z-Scaler and even uninstalled and refreshed Firefox itself

I'm a Firefox Desktop and Mobile phone User for Long back, very recently I understood that One important feature that is missing in firefox Desktop is the "Desktop Password protection for our Saved logins". in my Mobile I use Lockwise as a password saver, now it's discontinued, so I used to save in the Browser itself. but there the Passwords and login are protected by our biometric protection or the pic. very recently i signed in with my firefox account in College PC in Laboritory to enable the Extension like ghostery. After I did sign out... but most of my friends saw my passwords, they are very close to me so they didn't misuse that..

I wish a password protection in Firefox Desktop and After signing out all the Login password has to be deleted...

I learned the hard way about a month ago that my main bank will not work with firefox. I've now received notices from two other banks that state they only support safari on Mac. I have run into issues with some others that will either give errors but still allow me to pass through or others that state I have an unsupported browser but still allow me to log into the site - for now.

With this wide a net, this seems to be specific to the security issues in the Mac browser. Is this already being looked into? Is this specific to the new OS and firefox integration?

While I basically trust Safari, I certainly don't want to use it unless I have to and I generally use firefox exclusively on all my Macs and PCs. Can someone shine a light on this? Is there an upgrade or update planned?

I was in my account on walmart.com earlier today. When I next tried to access it I was unable to get into the website using Firefox. Even if I simply type "walmart.com", it takes me to the log-in page but it doesn't allow me to log in. I can't even browse their website in Firefox. I restarted my computer (desktop), but that didn't help. I have always used Firefox to access Walmart. I tried my other browsers, and they work fine.

How can I open all my tabs from an old laptop to a new one automatically? I tried to look for any buttons, but did not find any other than having to do it one at a time

youtube is the only site that streams properly(mostly), any other site gets stuck with 3 god dam dots in the middle. OTHER BROWSERS work JUST FINE. but I dont want to use internet explorer anymore. FF USED to work well.

some site literally just stop playing video. for 10+ minutes or until I intervene. if I copy the link and put it into edge it streams without issues.

internet, router, and pc are not the problem, I'm having a firefox issue. ive reinstalled the browser and cleared cache but nothing fixes streaming.
