Good morning, today I downloaded Debian 13 Mate version and to install Firefox I entered the following commands taken from https://support.mozilla.org/it/kb/installare-firefox-linux#w_installare-firefox-tramite-il-pacchetto-deb-per-le-distribuzioni-basate-su-debian-consigliato and the commands were

but I get this result OpenPGP signature verification failed: https://packages.mozilla.org/apt mozilla InRelease: Sub-process /usr/bin/sqv returned an error code (1), error message is: Signature by 35BAA0B33E9EB396F59CA838C0BA5CE6DC6315A3 was created after the --not-after date.Il repository "https://packages.mozilla.org/apt mozilla InRelease" non è firmato.

What mistake could I have made? Apart from the fact that now we use sudo apt update && sudo apt install Thank you in advance for your response.

I'm trying to install version 52.9.0 of Firefox on windows XP. The file available here does nothing when I run it. Windows doesn't show any dialogues or give errors. Nothing happens. When I check on Taskar, I can see the CPU activity go up, but the installer doesn't appear as a process. After installing update for Windows 11 23H2, Firefox would run but could not display pages. I tried re-installing Firefox with the online installer but it can't complete the installation and no Firefox.exe can't be found. I then tried downloading and installing the offline version. The installation appears to complete but Firefox doesn't launch and Firefox.Exe can't be found in C:/Program File/Mozilla/.

Hi, just tried to access Firefox via an existing PC desktop short cut and it said "The item "firefox.exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut?" Not sure why it's suddenly done this.Should I delete the app via "Add remove" and re-install.

I try to install Firefox directly from the Mozilla repository.

For that, I read the article "Install Firefox on Linux" and followed the install instructions in first chapter "Debian-based distributions" step-by-step. (article https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux)

Unfortunately, with every attempt to install Firefox, the Firefox LinuxMint (Ubundu) package will be still installed. The command to priorise the Mozilla repository seems to have no influenace.

How can I prevent/avoid using the LinuxMint/Ubundu repository? I wan't to install and update Firefox direct from Mozilla source.

I'm using Linux Mint 22.1 Xia base (Ubuntu 24.04 noble)

I want to download and install Firefox on my new iMac. As administrator it downloads but the instellation won't run. As a user it downloads and I can move the icon into the application folder. Firefox then opens but it won't run. Everything is frozen. What is going on??

Due to a technical issue, I've deleted Firefox and re-downloaded it. However, the SHA hash doesn't match. shasum -a 256 [path]/Firefox 134.0.2.dmg shows a hash of:

c87eade89ddf5d1996766840809b5d415d91ecb696326b4f1f92210200978d21

but that hash doesn't show anywhere on https://releases.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/134.0.2/SHA256SUMS

mac/en-US/Firefox 134.0.2.dmg shows a SHA sum of:

7832a8d1e1a13322dec1b52d32e1e64d2b6254de8348575f2d22af4975d56a85

which is completely different.

I re-downloaded it, this time from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/desktop-release/osx/en-US/, and this time the SHA sum is:

47e1c3b84e79d331842ccf994be56cd423126eaca6acfd1664d668cf48f98de0

which is yet different, and is also not found on https://releases.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/134.0.2/SHA256SUMS

What's going on? Why can't I get a matching SHA sum?

I’m trying to install the latest version of Firefox on Debian, as described at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux#w_install-firefox-deb-package-for-debian-based-distributions. I’ve tried twice, several days apart, but both times things fail at the third step, with the fingerprint not matching. Can I do anything besides try again later? I’m using Firefox ESR, as packaged by Debian, in the meantime.

For the last few days, Firefox is being removed from my computer overnight and i have to re-intall the browser the next morning. Sometimes it's still there the next day, and sometimes it's gone again the next day. What i causing this and how can i prevent it from being removed? Jenny

I am trying to follow the guide linked to install Firefox on an older Chromebook. It looks like the device should be supported, as running the command cat /etc/os-release returns that it is version 10. When I get to step 4 and try and run that I get a permission denied error and later steps do not work.

I did try the Google play option on the Chromebook, it says the device is not supported.

my wife's copy of Firefox picked up a virus. After trying several other things, I saved the profile, uninstalled FF, and installed the latest version. But when I tried starting FF I got an error message: Your Frefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.

I have a Windows 7 PC. IE no longer works. I would like to use Firefox to access the Internet. Firefox offers a version for download. I got it using my Windows 11 PC, however it fails saying that it can only be installed on Windows 10. Can this be fixed? I cannot access the Internet from my Windows 7 PC.
