Sometime ago I must have made a typo when entering my email address into a pop-up window in Firefox. Firefox continues to find and use this wrong address in pre-fills but I can't find anyway to correct it. I've worked through Settings/Privacy & Security with no luck. Can someone help please? Hi, Since the last update for Mozilla on the laptop (updated on 6/Oct/2025 - version 143.0.4 (64-bit)), all the shortcuts to websites in Firefox homepage I had pinned have disappeared. Also I can't add new shortcuts. I already have shortcuts enabled in Settings>Home>Firefox Home Content>Shortcuts.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Kind regards.

I have Firefox set to use the built-in .pdf viewer to avoid Adobe's intrusive AI features. I have disabled Adobe's AI features in the Acrobat settings, that does not seem to apply when Firefox opens the Acrobat reader. Consequently, I have to fight off AI "suggestions" and offers of help when I simply want to read a document from the web.

So I set Firefox to use the built-in reader. After 1-2 seconds, it switched to Adobe, and brings up all the annoying AI features. How can I keep Firefox from switching to Adobe?

As a test, I renamed Acrobat.exe to AcrobatX.exe. Firefox behavior did not change. I also killed all Acrobat-related tasks in Task Manager. My document still displayed in Acrobat after 1-2 seconds, but none of the Acrobat-related tasks reappeared in the Task Manager.

I am using Firefox 145.0.2 64 bit in Windows 11 with all updates current.

Many thanks for advice.

Tonight I was roaming around my Firefox settings looking at something else, when I noticed this AI piece pre-checked. Why is FIREFOX, who is supposed to be for privacy and security, authorizing an update that automatically choose AI? Not cool Mozilla. Not Cool. Anyone else have this? and yes, I've already fixed it ;-)

I run a drafting site where we share shop drawings for contractors and architects: https://usadraftsman.com

Whenever I open these drawing preview pages in Firefox, the browser gets slow or sometimes becomes unresponsive. The same pages load completely fine in Chrome, so I’m trying to understand what might be causing this only in Firefox.

Most of the previews are large drawings or viewer embeds, so maybe Firefox is struggling with rendering them. I tried clearing cache and turning off extensions, but the issue still comes back.

If anyone has dealt with similar heavy graphics or rendering issues in Firefox, what should I check or adjust? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have downloaded Firefox ESR and think it has been installed on my masOS version 10.12.1 and am wondering if I can use it on this version after reading your warning about support. Perhaps I have not installed it properly as I have just used what I think was the previous version since it has all the oldsaved sites.
