I have a Firefox icon on my Windows11 desktop, Start, and one on the taskbar. If I click one either the Firefox icon on the desktop or Start I will get another icon on the task bar and I can do this over and over on my personal desktop getting many Firefox icons.

I just purchased a new Dell Windows11 desktop and have installed Firefox. I set it up just like my personal desktop and have icons on the desktop, Start, and taskbar but every time I click the Firefox desktop or Start icon I don't get a separate icon in the taskbar but they pile up behind the original Firefox on the taskbar. If the cursor hovers over the Firefox icon then I can see the multiple Firefox homepages that I generated.

I have searched for an answer to this problem but have been unsuccessful. I would really appreciate some thoughts on this issue. Firefox has been my one and only browser for many years and I love it 99% of the time, just not this one time. :-) Thank you in advance. Chuck Hall

After the most recent Firefox update, my background colors are black, they were white before the update. I have attempted to change the settings for the background, no improvement.

I contacted the place that put my laptop PC together for me, one of their service techs spent close to an hour attempting the sames steps I tried. Did not fix. They said if they learn anything, they'll contact me.

My Firefox browser is missing the close button from the top bar. Minimize and Maximize buttons are present.

This is happening on Fedora 42 With Gnome.

I believe I don´t have any custom theme or user css or extension that could cause this.

Also because, it seems to be hapenning not only in Firefox itself, but also in Firefox based browsers, like Tor Browser.

Anyone has any idea what is hapenning?

These icons appeared recently in my Firefox browser I can't remove them. The only recent changes included uninstalling SuperAntiSpyware after finding that Microsoft PC Manager is a better option, which has performed excellently without issues.

Additionally, a free VPN (Proton) was briefly used from the Firefox browser without installation, but after finding it complicated to set up, it was deleted. A few hours later, I noticed the two icons as the windows were misbehaving and they are causing a slowdown in the PC's performance. They do not seem to be add-ons or extensions.

How do I remove the icons and return to the previous performance?

After the most recent update on the 17/09 my search bar is permanently stuck blue (screenshot attached). Any idea how to revert this back to the grey it was before.

I can't find the adjustment for my screen size. It's overrunning all the edges of my monitor making it impossible to see my panel on top and bottom. Is it in my computer or is it firefox?

Since the redesign a lot of thing don't work anymore.

In the menu at the right side with the dots important items e.g. bookmarks are not contained any more . How do I manage my bookmarks with the new Design? Is it possible to return to the old menu? Is there a manual explaining the new menu? The German help page online explains how it used to work.

I first noticed that things don't work anymore when I tried to download my subscribed newspaper in the app for this particular newspaper. Regards, Ute

Hi, is there a way to customize sidebar to move the controls to the top or bottom of the sidebar? With sidebar open there is a lot of wasted space with just 3 icons - settings, history and sideberry buttons. Not really an optimal situation.

Attached screenshot and another picture explaining where I would like to move the buttons. Either top or bottom of the sidebar is preferable than taking the side.

I recently upgraded from 128esr to 142, and one of the versions changed the tab mute button into a separate button.

How do I change it back to mute button on logo? if it isn't possible, can I remove the mute button
