Recently I had to install a new windows, and I signed in to my Firefox account and found all the data from the previous windows including the open tabs, I could find them from "Tabs from other devices".

But now can't find them any more, although that device name is still there in my account page, under " connected services", please advise.

Not 100% sure if the topic is the right one, but here we go - I use a Macbook with Firefox 153.0.3, UK Keyboard (QWERTY) It's about the command + ` (the key in the left upper corner below the esc key, I made the ` bold so it's easier to see)

Sometimes, but only sometimes, the keyboard shortcut command + ` to cycle through open windows in Firefox does not work.

For example, I have two windows open (W1 and W2). If I'm in W1 I can use the command and it will cycle to W2. But using the same shortcut, I can't navigate back to W1. But if I use command+ SHIFT+ ` it works. This changes from day to day, sometimes it's command +` and sometimes it's command+ shift+`

This only affects Firefox, in all other programmes, the shortcut works as it should Can't find rhyme or reason- does anyone have an idea?

I've tried several times with different updates to use the AI-enhanced tab groups, and it has never given me actual useful suggestions of group names. It always shows me the most generic of names and chooses almost randomly what tabs to group. This is a thing that AI should be good for, but it looks like it's unaware of what is the content of my opened tabs.

Is this feature improving or I can disable it and stop it from consuming my CPU?

It seems to be related to video playback but not sure. It was happening while a video was playing full screen, and also after stopping playing/hiding a non-full-screen video.

To catch the issue had to screen record at 240fps. I used Nvidia Overlay to record the issue, but was happening before the overlay was even enabled.

Disabled all addons, made no difference. HW acceleration on or off, still happened.

TL;DR: I am dumb, but not an idiosyncratic web browser user, and it was too easy for me to accidentally permanently delete all of my browser data. Deleted profiles should be moved into system trash when deleted, not rm'd entirely.

I have never used "profiles" and somehow, after updating firefox, seemed to have created one. I have no interest in using the feature, and therefore went to delete the new profile and disable the feature. Somehow, I instead deleted the profile I had implicitly been using all along. I clicked too hastily through the warning about deleting files, because it simply did not occur to me that deleting something related to this net-new feature should clear all of my *old* data. My goal was to restore the experience I've had in firefox for years (without profiles), but because I failed to adapt to the new feature, I lost everything instead.

I apologize for maybe shouting into the void about this, but I am posting on the off chance that this will reach someone who's involved in the implementation of these features and can save some other dumb person like me from making the same dumb mistake. It's quite painful to suddenly lose years of accumulated bookmarks, extensions, history, etc. The easiest and least intrusive solution would be to always move profiles into system trash when they are deleted, and never permanently delete them.

For the past few weeks, I have been having problems playing certain Facebook videos. It seems to only happen when I try to play a video that was recorded live. I have tried clearing the cache, I've tried a private window, and I've tried safe mode. I still can't get the video to play. However, when I copy and paste the url to Safari, it works fine. I have been able to play "live" videos while they are actually "live"; it's just that they will not load when I try to play them later. I don't have any problems playing videos which have been uploaded to Facebook; only those which were recorded live. The videos just show a circle in the middle as if they are trying to load but nothing else happens. The length of the video does not matter; it happens with short videos as well as long ones. The screenshot image (of a random "live" video I found) I am uploading shows a partial black circle in the center, which is a spinning circle in realtime. I have circled it in red.

I would like to know whether this is a normal process that happens when using firefox browser or has my version of the app been compromised? Or should I allow this to be accessed?

On Windows 11 - I keep getting logged out of Firefox after I close down. Then, when I enter my password to log in I get two emails with the same code and then two log in screens and duplicate emails to confirm login. I can only see one profile set up. I have not got automatic removal of history etc set. This does not happen on my Android devices. Any advice please as is getting more than frustrating!

HI All Recently purchased a laptop and want to have FF sync with my desk top. I am signed in to both devices with the same account and have checked all settings on both and they are identical. Why are they not syncing?

After reinstalling Firefox due to it being slow, no matter what settings, Firefox always opens and focuses on a new unwanted tab. But only if there are no extra tabs open except for my 5 pinned ones.

This behaviour started before I installed any Extensions.

How can I stop this?

Playback works correctly usually, but if I jump forward or backwards in time it sometimes never loads. This also completely bricks the whole brower, all other tabs etc, until I close firefox and restart it. This happens on all vods of twitch, and also livestreams where I am able to rewind (subscriber function). Hi! I have been using Firefox for quite some time, and as of yesterday I have encountered a problem. Any site I try to watch video on, be it Twitch, Youtube, etc., the videos now pause every 1-2 seconds to buffer for 4-5 seconds. The progress bar at the bottom of the Youtube videos will say they are loaded well passed the point its stopping to "buffer" at, and this is only occurring on Firefox, I have tested other browsers and am not encountering this issue. Troubleshoot mode also doesn't change anything, and neither does private browsing.

A popup box appears on screen when I try to turn on Firefox browser. I have never had to use a password before this box appeared. Funny thing is that when I click cancel the box disappears and Firefox comes to life. After searching I have found no way to remove this box and it is unnecessary. Would appreciate directions as how to remove this box.

title sums it up mostly. I've entered troubleshooting mode; no discernible difference. When I switch profiles the issue is resolved even with the same YouTube account. Tried clearing the cache, nothing. Most recent version of Firefox, windows 11.

Last month I installed Firefox on my brand new Windows 11 PC. The PC is set up using UK English as the default language and all the applications, including Norton extensions in Firefox v 153.0.3 (64bit), install in English.

The one exception is the Norton AntiTrack extension downloaded and installed from MS Store. It installs in English on MS Edge, but on the same day installed from MS Store on Firefox in French.

I have uninstalled AntiTrack and Firefox from my PC and then reinstalled them after rebooting, but it still insists on reinstalling in French. I can find no way to change the language setting in AntiTrack.

Does anybody have any suggestions to solving this problem.

NB AntiTrack also installs in English on our Android tablet and phones.
