After a re-start, my Firefox browser on a Dell laptop lost all history and has since also not been collecting websites visited. When opening a new tab, the shortcuts and recently visited websites are also gone and no longer being collected. My CCleaner recently updated itself to a new version but I unchecked the delete history for Firefox (which treacherously is clicked by default - I fell into that trap before). Happy to blame the new CCleaner but that would not explain why history is not being collected now - to me the fault seems to lie with Firefox instead. Another possibility that went through my mind: Is Microsoft sabotaging users of Windows 11 to force them to buy new? PS: Under "Privacy", "History", the setting is "Firefox will remember history", as it always has been and should be. But it has forgotten all previous history and it is no longer collecting any new history either!

up until this latest version you could delete your search history with a simple right click. This option no longer exists and there is no easily found way to delete "Search History" where did it go? will it be returned? is Search History no longer delete able?

Hello. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to bring up my concern. So, I apologize in advance if it's not.

I volunteer with a domestic violence organization. The group's website (180NJ.org) has a "panic button" function where a DV victim could bail out instantly if their abuser confronts them. When you hit the "Safety Exit" button, it changes the page to weather.com and Google comes up in a new tab. This is so an abuser can't see what the victim was looking at, for the victim's safety. When using Chrome and Edge, the DV site is removed from the History. When using Firefox, it is not removed from the History. I've brought this to the attention of the organization's IT people and was told that this is probably due to differences in the browsers themselves.

I'm not an IT person myself and have no idea what's involved in all of this. But, I just wanted to bring it to your attention, in case it's something you can work out. Thank you.

I updated my Firefox so when I went to start it again, all history had disappeared even though I was logged into my account. I've been using Firefox since it came out.

My firefox is not recalling the history as I move through tabs. It doesn't appear in the sidebar or in the documented history. This only has happened recently, and it's still recognizing my bookmarks. I've done some troubleshooting, tried relaunching in the mode while switching through tabs, but it's still not recalling. Any help is appreciated.

I just accidentally deleted a day of history, now it has to relearn a bunch of stuff.

Please add support for undo, so that if you do it by accident, you can reverse it.

Restore previous session, in history, is an important setting. It has now disappeared completely as an option even though restore windows and tabs is ticked. Need to go deeper than the superficial help .

Last week I went through the process of choosing a profile so I would not be faced with choosing whenever firefox opened. ( I was guided through the process by some of you elders.) My bookmarks are all in place but that history no longer accumulates, not even during the session I am in. I must have hit something without knowing it. I have gone up and down settings on several levels, but I can't figure out what will make this work again. It is helpful to have this reference so I would appreciate help. Problem: Cannot clear history from Firefix Started with Menu and clear recent history. Looked everyplace there was information about history. Tried removing individual entries. Ran Malwarebytes. Dell XPS 8960 with Windows 11 less than one year old. No response with any steps I take. Also, there are no error messages. I am unable to clear history no matter which tools I use. No error messages. All the suggestions I tried had no effect. Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox.

Oddly, I tried my older Dell Inspiron 3650, with Windows 10, and clear history works like it should. 

Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox. So far, all the advice goes down the same path; history, clean recent history, manage history, etc.. Tried refreshing and today I deleted Firefox app and reloaded. No improvement. I have the setting that reopens all my Firefox Windows and tabs when I close out of Firefox on, but I had to close them using the task manager to update some software, and it only reopened part of the Windows I had open! Can't you guys come up with a history option where you can see and select windows that were recently closed that clients can select and reopen from a menu when you can't select restore previous session? I mean, Chrome has that feature!

On windows 10, I had my history setup perfectly. I had it where it saved all of my stuff all the time and I could go back and check anything on any day. Then I changed to windows 11 and now my history is a mess and I can't figuar out how to fix the problem. I am not good with computer, so make your answer SIMPLE AS POSSIABLE, please!!! Thank you.

Ive had Firefox for many years, and am pretty ok versed in it's options and tools. Since a couple weeks my history is completely gone. It also won't record anything new. Im not in safe mode, not incognito mode, all the settings appear correct, yet still, won't record anything. Please help
