I know the first page has no redirect at webhost so I don't know why this happens. Same problem in Chrome and Edge. Malware is unlikely as Plusnet have thousands if not millions of customers.

I've downloaded a couple of add-ons this week that did not do what they claim to do, so I wanted to leave reviews so other users won't waste their time. Except when i got to do so, i am surprised to see that therte is no clear way to write a review for an add-on. I am logged into the add-ons page, i can view the previous reviews for the add-on, but nowhere does it inticate how I can leave a review. Google led me to the Mozilla add-ons wiki which states "You can complete most of the review using the reviewer tools at addons.mozilla.org" except there is no indication to where one can locate these "reviewer tools." Seems a bit funny to me that Mozilla would choose to hide the functionality and make it so difficult to use.

Any help is appreciated.

I used to watch the TED videos using the links in their email. Then some time ago they stopped playing. It accesses the website and video but there is a circle going around and nothing happens. I tested the same on Microsoft Edge and it works. I do not like Edge and hopefully, you can solve this issue because it is important. I have looked at all the solutions online but they do not fix the problem. I use Windows 11 and everything is up to date.

Any way to try to restore or at least get a list of what my suddenly unrestorable tabs were? I mean, aside from looking through every single item in my entire history and then trying to figure out whether I had already finished that project or not?

(I'll get old and die before I complete that.)

I had many many tabs open, in many many windows, and I discovered long ago (this is not necessarily a good thing:) that if you have the internet on your device shut off while you start firefox up, and while you session restore, though all the urls and the tabs and the windows reappear, none of the are actually loaded, they are just sitting there, and you need to reload each page/tab before the computer seems to use any ram (if that's the word) to run the page. This unfortunately allows a distractable procrastinator like me to accumulate literally thousands of unfinished tabs, which I was of course going through one by one and closing, but I had tons and tons of them open still.

When session restore suddenly no longer is an option, (it is greyed out, and not for the first time,) are there any other options?

anything else? or do I have to just give up and start over? (and ON that note, how can I avoid this in the future, there must be some way in lieu of me actually finishing one thing before starting 100 more,) to avoid this?

p.s. getting them back, somehow, would be what I desire, first.

I want to ask for advice. Firefox automatic spell check function funny. I've searched a lot, but I'm in trouble because I can't find a solution. In the firefox settings panel, I unchecked "Use automatic spell check function" and used it. I understand that the check is entered by inputting characters in English, but it is strange that the spell check is entered in other languages (Japanese input). I don't know the solution.

I use/like the randomly-generated 'strong' password feature, but is there a setting/option to have it include one or more special character(s)? So many sites nowadays require one, and VERY few *prohibit* them. I know I can 'substitute' one in there, but I'm VERY lazy! Thanks.

I have used Firefox for years. I am computer literate and do not like the newer approach Firefox has taken to save all downloads to my downloads folder. I have to continually go in and manually delete the files.

For instance, I have a lot of pdf forms that I have to open directly in Acrobat, those files are then duplicated and saved in my downloads. This is causing a mess for me.

This was NOT an improvement in my opinion. Is there a way to stop this???

I installed a plug in and have now lost all my Firefox configuration, stored pages etc. I backup my entire PC everyday and can restore individual files. What Windows 10 files need to be restored in order to return my Firefox before the crash?

For several weeks now I've been experiencing issues with accessing google sites. YouTube videos will constantly display the "Connect to the internet. You're offline. Check your connection." error page. Additionally gmail and google drive will constantly give the "OOPs" error message. Sometime the page will load w constant refreshes but this is not ideal.

I've done the following:

Clear history/cookies Opening in troubleshoot mode Disable hardware acceleration Refresh/Reinstall

Still getting the same results. Not having any issues with edge/chrome. Does anyone have anything else that could be done?

Hi:

I tried to set cookie preferences for different websites. For reasons that I do not understand, I cannot move the "slider". I even turned of the existing protection for the websites, but nothing changed. I tried the same with Safari using the same computer and mouse, and I had no problems.

Is this a known bug?

I do freelance work for a nonprofit that uses Constant Contact for its bulk fundraising emails. I've been doing this for at least 3 years using Firefox, but suddenly, something weird is happening: in any text block I insert, all the words run together as if I'm not hitting the spacebar. I'm communicating regularly with Constant Contact support, and they've even escalated the issue...but nothing seems to work. (It often looks fine on their end, but not on mine.) Unfortunately this ONLY happens with Firefox; using Edge and Chrome, the words come out fine. CC is still trying to solve the problem, but thought I'd bring it here to see if anyone else has any ideas.

Since Firefox is set as my default browser I would have expected to see Firefox here in these registry entries as my default browser in lieu of Internet Explorer. However, if I delete those Registry entries, it then breaks any embedded links in MS Programs such as Outlook mail and Excel. I have I.E as non-active (i.e. unchecked in Programs) but the system still seems to rely on I.E for opening any embedded links. Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem would be appreciated.

Why can i not set history to delete after 30 days? It appears the only option is an add-on which Firefox warns might not be safe. This is a security issue and Firefox is supposed to be good for security, but I can find no setting that will allow me to clear page history older than X days (30 days is my company document control policy). Even IE has this feature.

I upgraded my laptop to Ubuntu 22.04 and am running FireFox 102.01 (64-bit) now.

I noticed that (by default, at least) the FireFox titlebar has disappeared. What would have been its contents are shown on the tab-label, though I usually have enough tabs open that only a few letters of the title are visible.

That being said, about 75% of the space is empty on the Menu Bar, which only lists File Edit View History Bookmarks Tools Help Why not show the page title in a pane on the right-end (or middle) of the Menu Bar?

yesterday i closed my firefox with 4 open windows. Altough firefox is set to open all tabs and windows at startup, only 3 of 4 reopened again. I can not find the fourth one in "recently closed windows" and nowhere else.

Are there options? For example scrolling through the "window-history" in the Sync-Account?

When logging in to https://login.amwater.com (American Water, a large Public Utility), receive the attached message. Site refuses to proceed, insisting that users switch browsers to Chrome or Safari. Is this the beginning of the end? Thanks for any help. Running Win7, FFx 102.1

I keep getting annoying block-ups on different websites, all of which are asking me to sign up for a newsletter e.g. - https://michaelwest.com.au/ https://theconversation.com/au https://johnmenadue.com/category/politics/

Is there a pop-up blocker that can stop these annoying intrusions?

Even if you change the color of the link from the firefox settings, color scheme management, it will not be reflected. I used Stylus to change the color, but suddenly it stopped working. I think the firefox settings themselves are fine, but I can't find a solution.

After opening 4 or 5 web pages I can open no more and I have to restart to continue. I have tried clearing the cache and that didn't work. I also set it to clear the cache when I close the program. That didn't help either. I have used Firefox for years without problems. How can I go back to normal function?
