10/20/20

I clicked on the update button last night - running 81.0, and the update was for 81.0.2. When I went to open the browser all that I got was a line at the top - FF would not open. I backed up the profile, and did a clean install. When I finally got the backed up profile installed, it opened properly once and everything was there. When I opened it again, no book marks, and none of the buttons worked. FF didn't close properly, and I had to use Task Manager to shut down.

I ended up downloading the beta version, and it's worked just fine. The original profile works, so all bookmarks are there.

I see that FF released 82.0 this morning. Is it safe to try to install it, or is the beta version that I installed last night really 82, just hours before it was officially released?

I am writing second time because something bugged and 10 mins of my text is gone...

Is there a way to stop video on page faster than rmb on every video and then controls and then when play/pause button is visible with other info like video lenght lmb on video to pause it? Like forcing browser to show video controls like this on every video on a page would be really nice because i often show controls to check how long video will be. Shouldn't it be like on youtube where you can see video controls just by moving your mouse over it and it auto dissaper after you stop moving it? Also there is really annoying bug or something, sometimes videos won't auto pause when i scroll down, and on pages with infinite stuff like 9gag it is really troublesome, you have to rmb then controls then lmb to stop it. Prevent videos from auto playing setting isn't working at all.

Hello.

I'm not sure how this happened, but I have a listing in Servers in the Certificate Manager with the following information:

Server: www.bignox.com:443 Certificate Name: VMware Lifetime: Permanent

Trying to go anywhere with bignox.com does not work as its using the VMware certificate for some reason. If I delete it and go to the site, Firefox says the site is not trusted. I cannot get to bignox.com via any other web browser (Edge, Chrome, etc..) as I get the same type of security warnings. I do have vmware on my computer. I can connect to bignox.com just fine inside the VMware. If I uninstall the VMware, then I get security exceptions.

My question is, where does Firefox see this information? I have no idea how this happened, but I would like to get rid of this association.

Thanks

Having a problem getting Firefox to open. When you try to click on it it looks like it wants to open, but the homepage is blank. When I try to log in the page stays blank. I can see the menu bar but none of the choices will open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, each time removing any and all Firefox folders. Still will not open. Followed the steps for a clean install, no change. The last time I was downloading Firefox I received my first error message: c:\windows\system32\msvcp140.dll error message I get no other error messages, the home page stays blank. Any suggestions on what to try?

Firefox version 76.0.1 (64-bit) will no long log into https://workforcenow.adp.com

Not sure if this was after an update or not. It has worked until a few days ago. Chrome and IE works, but not FF.

ADP gives no errors, just comes back to the same login screen.

I'm trying to log in from a different machine than my usual one. Firefox says I am using the incorrect password. I have quadruple checked the spelling of my user name (email address) and my primary password. I am definitely entering them correctly on the new machine yet firefox insists it is wrong. I checked the password in the account settings of my usual machine, under "accounts.firefox" on Firefox's Lockwise (aka logins & passwords) page and indeed I am using the correct email & password. I also searched my email to make sure that I did not change my password and forgot that I had done so. So how can this be?

Hi,

So the default paper size for the printer keeps on defaulting to letter. When we require A4.

In previous versions this could be fixed by changing paper_data to 9.

However on the latest version of Firefox this option is no longer there. Instead it is replaced with print_paper_id. I have tried different values and this will not work.

Any ideas on how we can get this to default to A4 as the paper size?

Thanks.

Dear Mozilla support,

I just switched to firefox and Im having an issue with youtube. When i go to a channels videos and scroll down the page and open a video, when i come back to the previous tab the page resets up to the top. I dont know if this is a scroll anchoring issue or a memory limit issue, Im not sure. Here is how i can replicate the issue every time:

1. go to youtube.com 2. select a channel. 3. go to videos on the channel. 4.sort videos by date (oldest). 5. scroll down a lot and open a random video in a new tab. 6. watch video in full screen for 1 minute. 7. stop video and go back to the first tab. 8. first tab has now reset to the top.

I'm on firefox version 82.0 (64-bit) and i only have ublock origin extension installed. I do not experience this issue with chrome. Please advice.

Thank you.

Firefox is my default browser in every setting page I can find, including Win10, and right now I have three FF windows open (one private). But when I click a link in a Thunderbird email, it opens in a brandnew FF window, and every subsequent link will open in that fourth window rather than any of the three old ones I am actually using. I just don't see any FF or TB setting that says "Open link in existing window"! Of course, I am missing something...

I am trying to use a program (video display) and when I press the button to allow adobe flash I get a very small long thing and an error that says something like "#error 3409" I have re-installed it. My addons say that I have shockwave flash installed. I have installed adobe flash several times with the same result. Perhaps I should remove shockwave flash and install again. I have no clue.

Hi, Since yesterday Firefox won't play any live video streams on any website. An HTML5 error message shows up.

I've tried upgrading Firefox, disabling Add ons, starting in safe mode, completely uninstalling and starting from scratch and installing and deleting Adobe flash as a last resort.

I made sure everything was up to date on my laptop and they play no problem on other browsers. I just can't work out what's wrong with Firefox.

Hello!

I'm working on a small game (web-based) and I'm experiencing a very weird error with the new Firefox 82 update.

What I'm experiencing:

1. I can't logout. Every time I go to /logout, FF refreshes the account page. If I do the same thing on Chrome, it works. 2. I post something on the Forum - page refreshes. If I do CMD+SHIFT+R, the post shows up. 3. I can't login. I login, page stays on an AJAX request with loading. I do CMD+SHIFT+R, it logs me in and goes to the account.

This was all previously working fine in FF 81, and everything IS working as expected in Chrome.

I tried in Vanilla FF (without any plugins) and same issue. I disabled all external scripts that could cause this, and nothing is working.

Example here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/isba772aj49cpoz/Screen%20Recording%202020-10-25%20at%2020.46.04.mov?dl=0
