Refer to [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1334293]

On firefox before version 105 i can use parameter on about:config page

1. signon.showAutoCompleteOrigins = to hide the "From This Website" 2. signon.showAutoCompleteFooter = to hide the "View Saved Login" button

Now on firefox version 106 parameter number 1 doesn't work (doesn't hide "From This Website")

How can i hide "From This Website" ? is it a bug or is there any other way

I just started using Firefox again about a week ago after not using it for months because websites kept insisting I use Chrome. So I now see a lot of changes in FF, and one that is VERY annoying is that whenever I paste something I've copied (usually just a word or several words), FF also pastes a URL. So I constantly have to waste time deleting the URLs. I don't see any setting I can use to stop that. Can someone help me, please? TIA. LNelson1941

I use Firefox and Firefox developer and rely quite a bit on the ScreenCapture feature that used to live behind the three dots in the address bar. Did they remove it? I feel like I've looked everywhere to re-locate it and keep coming up dry.

Anyone else experience the same thing? Thanks for the help!

Firefox updated to 89.0 today, and my newtabpage looks odd. The shortcuts now have really small previews, as shown in the attached image. How do I get them to be full size again (i.e. fill the box)? It was easier to tell them apart at a glance before the update, post update there's too much empty space. Is there something in about:config that controls this?

Thanks in advance!

You've sent me an email recommending 'The Forget Button' but where is it? It's all very well saying how good it is. I certainly don't have one where it is in your video so how do I install it? Grrr so frustrating.

Ditto the Relay thing for burn email addresses. The little video goes on about how good it is but where on earth is the facility?

Soo madenning!

Any help gratefully recieved.

Programmatically edit browser history

Hi Firefox, A site I visited recently moved to another URL. Is there a way to edit my browser history so I can still be able to keep track of which pages I have visited?… (read more)

Hi Firefox,

A site I visited recently moved to another URL. Is there a way to edit my browser history so I can still be able to keep track of which pages I have visited?

For example:

if I have visited

https://site-old.com/topic1/page1.html https://site-old.com/topic1/page2.html

I want my browser history to also contain

https://site-new.com/topic1/page1.html https://site-new.com/topic1/page2.html

So I can see that I have already visited the page1 and page2 on topic1 as the link color would be purple

Would I be able to script something in a developer console and achieve that? Or would I need to program a plugin?

thanks!

As per this issue I reported a while back, I was experiencing odd issue with automatic redirect to HTTPS for some private development sites.

I finally found a fix for the issue. The problem appears to be with DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials Extension which apparently *may automatically redirect to the http site. In order to prevent this, I added my development sites to 'Unprotected Sites' and this prevented DuckDuckGo from doing the automatic redirect to https.

  • - Odd thing is that I had multiple domains pointing to the same web instance and only one of the domains was having this issue with the DDG extension. Both were going to the same IP through a HTTP proxy. The proxy and web server were not the issue. This symptom points to an maybe an issue in Firefox....

In summary, be wary of odd redirects and the DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials extension if you are doing web development work.
