A short while ago, Firefox was automatically updated to 99.0.1 on my iMac running Monterey 12.3.1. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, the search engine is stuck on Amazon with no other search engine options available. I normally use Google.

Even if I go into the Firefox settings to the "Search" panel, it is showing ONLY Amazon as the available option in the pull-down menu under "Default Search Engine". In the "Search Bar" section, I have it set to "Add search bar in tool bar". But even if I set it to "Use the address bar for search and navigation", and then switch it back to "Add search bar in tool bar", Amazon still remains the only available search engine.

As a last step, I installed the "Google Search" add-on by 3Indian to see if I could get back my Google search engine, but Google still doesn't show up as an option anywhere, and I am still stuck with just Amazon.

Is this a bug in the latest Firefox build? Did the developers forget to enable something when they did this build perhaps?

Hi! I recently made the switch from Chrome to Firefox and Im liking it aside from this one thing. When Im watching a video in full screen, moving the cursor to the top doesnt pop up Macs top bar (File, Edit, ..... battery, time).

This sounds like a banality but I mainly watch videos while getting ready, working etc, and I really need to see the time! Im used to always keeping the cursor at the top to see it. I searched around in settings and forums but didnt find any fix. The only solution seems to be to not use full screen which I think we can all agree just sucks in a major way.

Im using MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 and Firefox 102.0.1. Is there a way to fix this or nah? Any info much appreciated!

Firefox refuses to show my website correctly on my MacBook Pro M1 Pro, using OS 12.2. All other browsers on show it correctly. Firefox on my iPhone and iPad show it correctly too. I have tried all the obvious things... refresh, clear cache, deleted the application and reinstalled. However, I still get the same disjointed view of my website.

Hi there. I'm in the process of switching from Chrome and I want to import my passwords.

I first tried the 'import from Chrome' option - it says it's successful, but nothing has actually been added. Same result after several attempts.

I then tried the csv route. I found out I had to change the config settings, so I did just that, but the 'import CSV' option still isn't showing even after a reset.

So now I'm at a dead end. Any bright ideas please? TIA!

Currently running MacOS Montery but the problem was still occurring on previous versions.

Whenever I use the green top left button to enter full-screen, the app immediately freezes and either crashes or has to be manually force quit. There are no reports in about:crashes and I there has been no success with troubleshooting mode or switching versions of the Firefox application.

Machine Info: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) Processor: 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 Memory: 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Any help towards a solution would be appreciated. Thanks!

Firefox view is a new feature that looks awesome and I'd love to try it out to sync stuff between devices. There's just one problem:

1. Firefox view works on my laptop and seems to work on my phone, but does not work on my desktop.

For reference:

• Desktop (doesn't have view tab) is Mac Mini 2020 (M1) on Mac OS Ventura 13.0 (22A380)
• Laptop (has view tab) is Mac Mini 2020 (M1) on Mac OS Ventura 13.0 (22A380)
• Both devices are running Firefox 106.0.2 (64-bit)

I have already:

• Made sure "Open Tabs" is enabled for sync on all devices
• Looked for the firefox view in the "Customize Toolbar" menu
• Disabled / Re-enabled Firefox-View in about:config

Frequently when I update Firefox something stops working the way I want it to. So after the last update I disabled updates. That was a while ago (version 89) and my browser was getting pretty stale. So I backed everything up, reenabled updates, and now I have version 104.

And, of course, something is broken now. The context menus when I right click are not functioning as before. The userChrome.css is still there in the chrome folder in my profile and has the same contents. The option toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets is set to true. But it doesn't work anymore. I added a line to change the color of the tab toolbar and that worked. So userChrome.css is being read and acted upon. But the other command (I whittled it down to just one additional command for testing) is ignored.

Here is what my userChrome.css looks like right now:

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");

1. context-openlinkintab { display:none!important; }
2. TabsToolbar{ background-color: #CCCCCC !important }

But the "Open Link in New Tab" still appears in the context menu when I right click a link. It didn't do this before the upgrade to 104. Did something break in between version 89 and 104 or is it some other oddity?

Any ideas?

The photos page in OneDrive is having trouble loading most of the time. The page has the OneDrive header, and the section where the photos should show up is simply blank. Screenshot attached.

This is working fine on Google Chrome, but I would prefer not to use chrome for privacy reasons.

Can anyone help me with this?

Google Calendar and a few other websites do not render symbols correctly. Please see attached. What should be displayed instead of letters are symbols such as > or ^. I've tried updating FF (103.0.2), ran in Safe Mode, disabled extensions, and nothing has helped. I'd like to keep using FF instead of Safari (running MacOS Monterey 12.5.1), but this is annoying.

Any ideas?

My extensions take up a lot of space in my toolbar and I'd love to hide all of them. However - every 'solution' to the problem tells me to right click the extension straight from the toolbar and click 'Hide from Toolbar'.

I do remember this option existing, however I couldn't find it since last update and I'm assuming it was removed. Is there any way to use it again?

^ (Small note, It would also be lovely if I could add them to the Extensions add-on in the toolbar, as that would really be a better use for it other than overflow)

Is it possible to move the address bar above or below the Bookmarks Toolbar in Firefox 100.0 (64 bit). If not, can you provide a link to the latest version of Firefox for Mac OS X Catalina (10.15.7) that does not have the address bar on the same level as the Bookmarks Toolbar.

Hello, I am a user on Mac! I am having an issue with moving tabs fluidly. Yes, moving tabs inside the window is easy but when I move them outside the window, it makes me a little uncomfortable. In the images and video I have sent, you can see that an unnecessary thumbnail of the tab pops up even when I move the tabs inside the window. This makes it harder to know if I am even moving the tab in the first place. Then it takes like 2-5 seconds for the new window of the individual tab I moved to appear. If whatever I said is quite confusing which I apologize for, I would very much recommend taking a look at Google Chrome, the browser I don't prefer, however, try moving the tabs around and outside one window and creating more windows with individual tabs. It feels more fluid or swift and easy to handle. Compare that to Firefox and a big difference is to be seen. I am concerned about this issue really because I am replacing my previous browsers, not only Google Chrome but browsers like Edge too which are capable of not having that issue, with Firefox instead and hopefully Firefox can have this capability. I also multitask a lot so I usually encounter this problem on Firefox. I hope this is fixed and am sure it will help a lot of users! Thank you! i own a macbook and have recently switched from chrome to firefox- in my mac settings, it hasnt given firefox the permissions to use my microphone or camera. it doesnt show up the usual list to be able to allow the permissions. i've enabled microphone and camera permissions for the websites i want through firefox, but i cant even unmute myself. i think i need firefox to give me a popup and ask for microphone permissions, but it hasnt done that- and even if it did, i think it would show up in the list for allowing permissions through my mac settings (it shows applications that have requested for microphone access).

I always use private browsing so I thought that my history was totally not being saved, but discovered recently that when I started to type within the search field, that many of my past searches were listed in the search field with the type highlighted in purple. I had to manually go in and delete all of these past searches. I don't want any search history to be saved. Is there a setting in preferences that I'm somehow missing? Why is Firefox saving these past searches if I have it set to Always Use Private Browsing?

I am trying to set youtube to always open in Youtube container , when i right click on the logo or name of the container it doesn't do anything , at previous version was fine , is there any issue with current version ? is there another way to enable youtube to open always in it's own container ?
