firefox tab name edit: can a user name tab at will ?

right now it has LOGO and "Home" but i want it to read something like OSC-US Office of Special Counsel-Independent Agency-Home because i just do.

i have three other bookmarks for OSC: i can edit the bookmark name from "properties" but have never known whether i can also edit the name shown on a tab.

LOGO Home isn't too helpful to me. but even just knowing that i CAN'T edit tab names will be helpful to know, so i can stop thinking about it and get some sleep after another bag of chocolate-chip cookies. being an american right now is plenty stressful.

who named them "cookies" anyhow?-is it bc they kind of leave crumbs? did i win?

thank you for helping. i do appreciate it.

When I press ctrl+shift+s, I get a menu in the upper-right corner of the browser. It has a “Save full page” option. However, I still have to go and click on that.

Is there a shortcut to just directly take a screenshot of the whole page? Is there a way to configure such a shortcut if there isn’t one by default?

Thanks!

PLEASE, someone tell me my old bookmarks are living somewhere on laptop.

I deserve the answer to be NO bc I did not take any steps suggested by Moz, did not try refresh, did not even set up a profile b4 trying to install previous version (b4 82.0). Years worth of bookmarks are gone.

Used help topics to try the Import/Export-Restore Bookmark option. However the only json Mozilla extension I could find was related to my last attempt.

Running Wins 10-Mozilla/Firefox updated to 82.0 this morning. After the update my screen began to flicker and pull up sections of page in dark black. After verify the issue was with Moz I tried to revert back to older version. I was frustrated bc of the screen issues and as stated-did NOT do anything strongly suggested b4 going to previous version.

Although I chose previous version (64 bit) I actually ended up with a newly installed 82.0 However all bookmarks still gone & just icing on cake the flicker is still there.

Any help would mean to world. Thnx

I was notified by a 3rd party monitoring service of a potential scam involving my email address, DOB, tel #, etc. To the best of my knowledge my password was not compromised. I contacted the potential site from the alerts which was GTL.Net and after contacting customer support I was told they had nothing to do with GTL. This company appears legitimate but I have had no dealings with them and have no idea whether I am being scammed or not. But they were possibly accessing information which they did not need. Help, I am stuck as to what alternatives are available.

We monitor online activity to identify the potential illegal trading and selling of your personal information. Unfortunately, we found a match which indicates the information within the red box above is available online. If your password was also compromised, that will be noted in the "Additional Info" section below. Please note, this is the password associated with the site where your email address was procured.

If the “potential site” information is populated, we obtained credible evidence that this is the possible site from which your email address and password, if applicable, were found and we recommend you change your password for this site.

If the "potential site" is not named, you should consider what sites you have associated with the “Monitored Element Email Addresses” and consider changing your password on those sites..

For example, if you set up an account with madeupwebsite.com (fictitious site for this example), you provided your email address to this site and established a password for this site; that password should be changed. See additional comments under “Here's what to do:”, below. We monitor online activity to identify the potential illegal trading and selling of your personal information. Here's what to do: Immediately change the password for the website if identified above. Consider changing passwords for websites or online accounts which may be associated with this email address. If the password is not identified above, that does not necessarily indicate your password is safe. Passwords might not be visible to our monitoring due to encryption or otherwise, yet they could be procured and encryption cracked by parties obtaining information from the dark web. Utilize smart password habits. Re-using passwords across multiple sources may increase your vulnerability to identity thieves. Create unique and strong passwords for your accounts using a mix of special characters, numbers and upper and lower case letters known only to you.

Here's what to do: Ensure the accounts that contain your phone number are secure. Many times, your phone number is used to authenticate your name and account information for websites like Gmail and Facebook.

Hi everyone,

I updated to macOS Big Sur yesterday and now I got display issue on websites that use the Roboto font (like Youtube, Trello, Google Translate, etc.)

As you can see on the attached screenshot, the font is now always displayed BOLD and in a weird way.

I reinstalled the Roboto font on my mac but it did nothing. Everything is working fine with other web-browsers.

Can someone help me ?

Thanks by advance.

I am trying to browse websites through a proxy that intercepts the TLS connections and signs the certificates using a private CA certificate.

If I'm using only a root CA certificate, setting it on my proxy as well as in the OS's certificates store, I can browse the internet without any issues. The chains in this case would be: Root CA -> Server Certificates

However, my setup mandates that I use an intermediate CA on the proxy. The chains in this case would be: Root CA -> Intermediate CA -> Server Certificates If I add an intermediate CA to the proxy and the root CA to my OS's certificates store, I get the following error:

" Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.youtube.com. Peer’s certificate has an invalid signature. Error code: SEC_ERROR_BAD_SIGNATURE

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

"

I'm using Firefox 82.0.2 on Windows 10.

How can I get more details on why it's failing? I've tried looking in the "Security" tools tab, but I see only this error ID.

Thank you, Cosmin

Please can someone tell me why is there such a long delay between opening firefox and the master password prompt?

Also if anyone knows if there is some way to either speed up the master password prompt so that it opens instantly on opening firefox or prevent it from opening until a password box is present on the webpage.

The delay in the master password prompt is up to 20 seconds and is so annoying, it just gets in the way when you are trying to work.

Thanks in advance for any assistance that can be provided.

firefox recently crashed, and upon restarting it, nothing had changed, except for the fact that a parsing error now pops up whenever i open a youtube video. this parsing error blocks part of the video, and i couldn't find anything about this anywhere else! i can't figure out how to remove this, i've tried entirely disabling picture-in-picture mode (assuming that's what's causing the issue, as it's mentioned in the error) but it didn't work.

I installed the Duckduckgo extension and decided after a week that I didn't want to use it any longer. I disabled the extension and in Preferences/Search selected Google to once again be my default search engine. But, when I do a search, Duckduckgo comes up as the default, and when I look in Preferences/Search it again shows as the default. I went back into extensions and totally removed Duckduckgo, reset Google again as the default but it reverts to Duckduckgo. I went into One-Click Search Engines and removed Duckduckgo, but then when I try to select my default search engine there are no search engines from which to choose. I clicked on Restore Default Search Engines but then I'm back to Duckduckgo being the default search engine. I've spent hours searching online with no success. How do I get rid of it and get Google back as my default? I'm using Firefox 82.0 on an iMac running Catalina. I updated to 82.0 hoping that might solve the issue, but no luck.

Friends, I use FF extensively and prefer not to change but it's been very annoying as of late.

Running v83. Even downgraded to v82 and it worked for some minutes but now it's back to same behavior. [struggle to download to 82 is here: https://rezamusic.yolasite.com/technical-tips.php]

If you google "squeeze lemon" for example -- on my Chrome it shows images and a list of drop down subjects "people also ask".

On Firefox, the pictures don't show -- and drop downs are frozen (don't work). Also on other sites that have a Captcha, Firefox just doesn't work. Seems same problem with 82. Help!

Images are from Chrome -- and last one from Firefox

Hi, Since yesterday Firefox won't play any live video streams on any website. An HTML5 error message shows up.

I've tried upgrading Firefox, disabling Add ons, starting in safe mode, completely uninstalling and starting from scratch and installing and deleting Adobe flash as a last resort.

I made sure everything was up to date on my laptop and they play no problem on other browsers. I just can't work out what's wrong with Firefox.
