I have been looking at using MEGA as an alternative platform for cloud storage & sharing files. MEGA also offer a browser extension for Firefox which is available here: https://mega.nz/extensions

What I wanted to know is if this extension is available to download from Firefox Add-ons, if it is not can anyone tell me if it is safe to install from mega.nz

I would much sooner install it from Firefox Add-ons if possible.

Many thanks for listening and for any advice that anyone can offer.

I saw something new in YouTube today. When I tried to watch a file (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJVdiGpnH_s) the only resolution I could get was 360p. A video option labeled "Missing options?" brought up a YouTube help page (screenshot attached).

Why is Linux left out of this capability? It can't be because those formats are unsupportable in Linux; Chrome supports them for all of their browsers, including Linux. Why does Firefox discriminate against Linux users?

I have windows 7 32bit with Firefox v61.01 32 bit. The latest update removed the java plugin so I uninstalled Java and reinstalled. It works fine on Internet Explorer 11 but the plugin will not install on Firefox. Yes I've checked the Add-ons Manager. Yes I did close Firefox before installing and yes I've restarted Firefox. I've also installed a plugin that automatically adds websites to the allowed list on Java. So any solutions on hot to get Java plugin to install on Firefox? We have a proprietary program that requires a Java enabled browser that is not Chrome or Internet Explorer. So any suggestions?

In requesting advise and assistance regarding my Mozilla Firefox YouTube issues I firstly wish to thank everyone who has contributed to my previous cries for help and for all those volunteers contributing to this democratic, corner of the web. Aged 71 my Firefox and its add-ons, are extremely important to my daily life on the web. I thank you all in advance for having helped my journey in this amazing ‘place of minds’. Using a NUC 5I7 with Windows 10 (64bit) with fully updated Firefox I have been prevented from using YouTube on that preferred default browser. Disabling all of my installed add-ons, the YouTube service resumed. It was obvious the absolutely marvelous ‘YouTube enhancement’ add-on and the two ad-blockers were an issue, which up until I’d done a better than average, routine malware virus and junk file clean out (revo uninstaller pro), had not been an issue. Earlier, what I believed was unrelated at the time, I had been prompted to download and install a new version of VLC which I dutifully performed. Unfortunately the new version of VLC did not appear to work on any of my AV files so I used the revo uninstaller to remove all traces of that update before reinstalling my original version of the program. Having reestablished my VLC was back to 100% I decided to do a routine check, cleaning out any other junk that may have cluttered my system. It was then that a popup window advised I download and install a newer version of Mozilla Firefox, just before clicking on the install, I remembered this was a repeat of a previous ‘download and install’ I’d done, days before and a quick search found that version of Firefox in my download folder. Unsure of what might happen I did a backup of the currently installed Firefox settings before clicking install. I now believe these events regarding the VLC and Firefox installations may well have been linked, however I am not sure how and what to do now. I want to enjoy my advert free browsing and the excellent YouTube enhancements with my dark screen Firefox but somewhere along the line my defenses have been breached likely by my own brash stupidity. Has anyone encountered such an intrusion and how do I get back to my original, ‘personally customized Firefox browser’? PS: I note a growing number of others with similar problem. Please see attach screen shots,

Prior to the newer Firefox platform when you selected a new tab there were approx 4 rows of previously visited sites displayed. Allowing for more than 16 possible selections.

The new platform only allows a maximum of 2 rows (16 selections total). I would like to be able to customize this section up to 4-5 rows. Is there a hack available that will allow me to increase the number of rows?

Would the option to be able to display more than 2 rows be entertained by the development community?

Thanks,

1. How do I TURN OFF 'animations' to speed up my browsing?

2. I still have no way to stop gmail, from 'auto filling' in my gmail address, as I log out, forcing me everytime to DELete it manually. I did try the fix a prior contributor to this site advised, NO change.

3. I need to find a better browser. I have a old slow laptop. Built in 11/11, is a Acer Aspire. 1.4 speed. Even lots of

things disabled and running about no special apps, she's slow.

bear in mind, the apt. bldg. provides the internet/wifi in the rent. They call it 'hi speed' it's more like slow/middle speed. And many neighbors run 4-5 devices of a 140 unit bldg. I run just this one laptop no other devices at all.

Recently been to the Microsoft store for some things. At the store my Acer runs VERY fast so it's not only my laptop but this bldg. Having said THAT, I speak often to the neighbors and theirs run FAST. nice and fast.

So if I had a NEW Asus ssd i7 I am certain I'd run fast. Meantime, at nights I often get thrown offline or can't hardly at all use my yahoo mail...just buffers.

WHAT IS A GOOD BROWSER TO USE NOT FIREFOX? Thanks
