I accidentally removed my address bar/file/history/tools/etc., line on the top of my screen-I did this while removing extra toolbars-I don't know where to find it or how to get it back. I did a system restore, but that didn't bring it back. I don't know what to do! I had no idea that could be removed! I have little technical knowledge & have done everything I can think of to find it or bring it back.

I have a web page that features a PNG with transparency, but Firefox doesn't render it correctly -- it's a little blurry and pixel-y. Chromium and Opera both render the PNG fine. (This is all in Ubuntu Maverick.)

The image is available at http://mathsci.kaist.ac.kr/~drake/img/poorly-rendered-image.png; it looks fine by itself, but the background for the web page with this image isn't white, it is (as far as I can tell) #ccc.

I'm surprised that Chromium and Opera do this correctly, but Firefox doesn't. What is going on?

I'd like to generally block web page redirects and automatic reloads, but there are some sites for which I'd like an exception. I could find exception lists for pop-ups but not for reloads. In order to have my bank's web page and a certain chat box page work as-intended I have had to deselect "warn me if web sites try to redirect or reload the page". Otherwise, I have to click "Allow" over and over again at the top of the page. I'd like this to work like the pop-up blocker, where you can just add an exception to the web site.

hi, one day, my search engine (just the default - google) has gone from my search engine field next to the address bar in firefox.

if i click the drop down button and go "search engines", there's nothing listed in there, and the "restore defaults" button is greyed out.

i have uninstalled FF, and deleted the profiles directory, but still when i reinstall there's still no seach engines available..

i've tried deleting the search.sqllite file in the profile and it doesn't help (of course - deleting the whole profile doesn't work).

any ideas?

When I encounter a link on a web page, I usually open it in a new tab. This tab appears to the right of the current tab. I then select the new tab to view the link. When I am done and close this new tab, the focus goes to the tab to the right if one is there (usually the case for me), but I would prefer that the focus go back to the tab to the left, where I came from, and do so automatically. How can I change the direction of focus when I close a tab to eliminate the mouse click needed to select the previous tab?
