I can no longer access my gmail with the firefox browser, why?
I try to check my g-mail and I get a notice that says something like: firefox is no longer supported by google.

I run XP SP2 and will not be loading XP SP3. I run Firefox 3.6.22 because Roboform suckered me with a lie. When I purchased Roboform, I was "guaranteed all updates AND UPGRADES for LIFE," but when Firefox changed from 3.6, there was an apparent collusion with Roboform so that the new versions of Roboform were blocked from working on Firefox after 3.6 (at the same time, of course, Firefox removed Firefox's password management from the browser), and the customers that Roboform had guaranteed "upgrades for life" were NOT grandfathered in to prevent breaking Roboform's promise/guarantee to them.
I will be switching to Linux, but I will be using LastPass (instead of Roboform) until then. I will never pay Roboform another penny, and I always post my experience with their dishonesty whenever the forum is conducive.
I can switch browsers, but I had just as soon stay with Firefox if you can tell me what version of Firefox will run CORRECTLY with XP SP2 (and be maintained properly)? A link to it would be helpful.

The plug-in list below is partially, but not altogether, correct. I use Microsoft Office, and don't use most of the plug-ins listed.

Slowed to 'glacier' pace in speed and was impossible to use my Word office program, even with Firefox closed, and after restarts. I had to go back 24 hours and reset so I could continue my work. I'm using Windows 7. I liked Firefox just the way it was. This is as bad as the new health care law... no options but to upgrade, lose out and suffer. I guess I will have to give your program up.
My Bookmarks category on the toolbar has a Trojan Horse logo on four of the drop down menu items.

I am now using Firefox. I see now that the trojan is embedded in my Bookmarks bar, on the drop down menu items. I'm am having trouble resetting Firefox, nor can I get the Malwarebytes that I downloaded to open and run. I have cleared the history, cookies, cache on my computer. I have also deleted Java, MSN, and the old email Mail and its settings from the hard drive.
I'm a low-tech techie. Thank you for your ideas,

I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone could tell me whether Firefox will be dropping support for Mac 10.6 soon? I'll spend the $25 for the Snow Leopard install disk, but if it's soon to be unsupported, I guess I'd better save the dough and put the money toward a "newer" used Mac. I updated my Fire Fox to version 25 several months ago. I then started getting messages from websites and my yahoo email account that I was using an outdated version. I then updated to the beta version 26 and I still have the same problem. I am using Windows 7 on my PC. Never had any problems with Fire Fox until the 25 upgrade. I have cleared the cache and cookies with no effect. Do I need to uninstall Fire Fox and start all over again.

I was running Firefox 3 on my system (do not remember which specific version now), and due to all the nags about that version being out of date, I decided it was finally time to upgrade. I installed v25, and suddenly found I could not load web pages. I tried all the support documents I could find, but none of them helped. I installed v24 instead, but same issue.
I removed Firefox and installed using 3.6.17, which I had downloaded previously just in case of problems with the upgrade, and Firefox works again. I have not tried any versions in between yet, so I do not know which version these issues start with, but I know it is tied to 24 and 25 at least.

I just want to go back to a working version, the version I had immediately before 24. But I don't know which version that was. I deleted FF and installed 3.6.28, but it has even more issues. Is there a place to find the versions I've used, or if anyone has similar problems and knows which previous version worked perfectly, can you please let me know which it was? Yes, I'm still using XP and yes I know I should update it. I'm getting a new computer for Christmas and won't need to "fix" all these things, so just want to continue with what I had for the remaining 2 months.
The issues I'm talking about is that my bookmark toolbar barely functions. My link to email does not work, I've lost the icons for half my bookmarks...

Yes i know most would tell me to update my firefox to correct it, BUT I DO NOT WANT TO UPDATE. if i wanted a newer version i would download it.
Personally I hate the new versions of firefox, and have no use for them. and do not want to update to something I DON'T WANT.
