Hello. Yesterday I updated my Firefox, and it did not import my bookmarks. I saved them as a JSON file. In the restore menu it does pull up all the previous restore points, but when I try to restore/import any of them, the browser freezes and I get a message similar to the one I'm attaching. I have tried everything I read to do in the forums...deleting the places.sqlite file, adding the Places Maintenance & Auto-Sort Bookmarks. I've tried a System Restore to revert to my older version (which works, but the bookmarks are gone now and the problem persists)....nothing is fixing the problem and I am very sad to lose my several years' worth of bookmarks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As in tittle, Firefox blocks use of Flash on every website, Plugin check report it as vulnerable, but Adobe says (https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player/apsa15-02.html) that 11.x versions are not vulnerable.

As of today something on Ebay has changed in the coding that affects only Firefox, 35.0.1. OSX

Before today all descriptions of items and photos showed normally, now suddenly there is a "see full item description"

button, this ONLY displays to me in firefox, if I view any pages on Ebay with any other browser- Safari, Chrome etc the pages all display correctly.

Ad block I disabled and tested with it off, no difference, ditto for the cookie blocker, on or off makes no difference.

At least 5 times a day FF crashes and the error is basically "Exception Breakpoint Reached" . I have no idea how to fix this and asking FF to reply is a waste of energy. Does anyone know how to stop this problem?

firefox crashes the instant almost that I open Facebook on my desk top. It does not crash when I open any other site on Mozilla/Firefox/Google. The message that comes up once it has crashed is in Greek and therefore I cannot make sense of it as I am an English speaker.

Long time Mozilla Firefox user with longtime Personas Plus 1.73 etc. Hadn't changed my persona for awhile, went to change today and repeatedly received error message: " This add-on could not be downloaded because of a connection failure on Addons.mozilla.org. and what happens is, you select the persona you want, then it seems ok, and tells you to add to firefox ( remember that Persona's Plus 1.73 is already on computer and totally enabled) so then you click and it looks like its happening, but then the error message appears. I have tried disabling personas plus 1.73, uninstalling it, etc, all the fixes I could find in mozilla support and elsewhere, tried that whole change the xpinstall.enabled thing but it did not work. I have windows 7 and most uptodate Mozilla firefox (main browser) and because I have so many bookmarks, favorites etc, I am unwilling ( and see no point, since all other add ons extensions themes work fine) to reset my entire firefox ( bad idea I learned in the past/hardway...) and I have sent email to personas web developer, doubt I will hear back but am hopeful someone who knows mozilla will answer with viable solutions to fix this. Note: if I sign in to personas and go to my favorites, add the theme I want then click on the personas menu from top of firefox and scroll thru my zillion favorites of themes, i can usually get it to use that favorite I chose, but this is a long drawn process and should not have to be the only way (workaround) It should be selectable from the personas screen ( yes I am signed in to see and add to favorites in personas). so with all this information can someone out there on the 'inter-web' help me ? Are others experiencing this ? I have looked everywhere for solutions but so far nothing.

For many years I'm using Firefox on several versions of Mac OS X. Due to compatibility reasons I have to keep the latest 3.6.28 and I would like to use the latest version.

Until version 35.0.1 there was not a problem at all to have multiple versions installed. The problem started with 36.x and also remains with the very latest 38.0.

Problem: all booksmarks disappear when switching between versions. Browser history also disappears. How to reproduce the problem: I'm launching the old version 3.x, all booksmarks are there. Then I'm shutting down 3.x. Then I'm launching the latest version 36.x or 37.x or 38.x and all booksmarks are still there. Then I'm shutting down this version. Back to 3.x all bookmarks are gone. In any FF version.

I need to recover the Firefox folder in the Application Folder to get back to the 35.0.1.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I downgraded to 35.0 because my add-ons stopped working including download helper. Now it doesn't work in 35.0 either, what gives because it was working until the updates came out and was working when I went back to 35.0 and then it just stopped working at all.

The icon for download helper is not animated (it's grey) anymore and not working at all.

Fire fox opens and when I start using it, it crashes. Over and over again, help, please.

Two weeks ago my bookmark icons no longer displayed. I searched for a solution and tried clicking each bookmark to make the icons come back, which they did. Now today they are once again gone. Is there anything that can be done?

For years I have been able to watch a certain tv show online, ads and all. Now they suddenly tell me to switch off my adblocker or the video will be in black and white only. But I never installed an adblocker so I have no idea what they're on about or where to look for it. Is it built in into Firefox? And if so what's the name and where can I find it to shut it off? And if it's not in Firefox how can I find out where it is?

I believe prior to Firefox 35 I was able to open local links to mp4 files and Firefox would prompt me for what to do (Open, Save, etc.). Now local links to mp4 files always open in the embedded Firefox video player with no option to do otherwise. I have tried setting 'media.windows-media-foundation.enabled' to 'false' and it has no effect on local links to mp4 files. All other common video formats that I have tested (e.g. avi, mpg, wmv) prompt me for what to do, as is the expected behavior.

To reproduce:

1.) Enter in url: file://///path/to/video.mp4 2.) Observe that the file opens in the embedded video player with no option to do otherwise

I have my own website set as my home page but firfox will not load it and gives this message (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain) I used dreamweaver to build my site and it has been operating fine until today

There is a connect command:

> connect Connect to a remote server: subsequent commands will be run on the server.

.. but it's neither in the Firefox, Firefox Nightly or Firefox Developer Edition.

What I would like is to connect via GCLI to another firefox instance, and execute commands on the remote instance, which the "connect" sounds exactly like.

Hope anyone can share some info regarding the connect command.
