All drag-and-drop features stopped working on my FF 21.

That is, I can no longer: - Drag items to bookmarks or rearrange the bookmarks - Drag words to the search box or links to the URL box - Change the order of tabs - Rearrange items on toolbars - Move text in text boxes - etc.

Safe mode exhibits the same problems.

Please advise.

The last couple of versions of Firefox have seemingly been more permissive in the popup allowing. If I go to http://www.popuptest.com/popuptest12.html, all three popups open with a simple window.open() JavaScript call. The only one that gets blocked is when I click the back button. Shouldn't the ones that open automatically be the ones that get blocked? I've gotten quite a few ad popups, and it's making me wonder if window.open() is being ignored now.

When I enter this website, there are certain areas that FIrefox will allow me to copy and paste. However, if the content is located within frames, I get a message that indicates that Copy/Cut/Paste options are unavailable in Mozilla and Firefox. Then, the information box asks me if I want more information or to cancel the request. When I ask for more information, the system offers information about altering the preferences; however, those steps don't appear to work for me. Please help.

When I visit a website, and I authenticate whether via username, or certificate / PKI, these credentials and authentication states gets stored somewhere. I want to know where that somewhere is, so I can terminate those one at a time manually.

I understand that I can go through the Options, and clear browsing data -- and yes, this will accomplish the same thing sorta -- however, this will kill ALL my authenticated sessions across ALL my tabs. I would like to know if there is a manual way where I can do it PER site, so that its not such a brute force method.

Final Note: I do not want to have to close out all my tabs (quit Firefox completely). Nor do I want to go through the options to do this. If I can be instructed as to where my session and authentication store location is, then this will answer my question.

I am an advanced user, and have no problems in working my way around my system to tailor it to my needs, I just dont know where to find this database store.

I have tried going to the firefox tab > history > clear recent history but the option to clear history is greyed out and I can't click it. Similarly, when I go to the privacy options and try to make it where it clears my history upon exiting, that option is also greyed out. I have all my history from January, so not having anything to delete is not the problem. How can I fix this?

any way to change the font size of bookmark toolsbar? upgrade to firefox v22 and notice that font of bookmark toolsbar become bigger, few bookmark can not be displayed, it is normal? any way to change?

When I updated to Firefox 21.0, I found that Flash Player Plug-in 11.7.700.202 was not working. Videos would not play. Had no problem before the Firefox upgrade. I downloaded a new copy of the player but the download would not complete. A error message (only a single instance of this application can run) appeared. I used Adobe Flash Player's uninstall to delete all Flash files. Then I tried downloading Flash 11.7.700.202 again. Same error message appeared and would not finish the download. Chrome videos work with no problem. Is there a hidden Flash file somewhere that's conflicting? Is this a Mozilla bug? I looked at all the support topics and didn't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The version 20 worked well. Now the one and only choise is "Get me out of here". I renew the certificate but even "I understand the risks" did not help in the version 21. Now I have to run IE to get the online meeting opened.

I would like to make character encoding default to unicode-8 however when I try to make it set to that, it does not work. Every other setting I use will be remembered and this is the only one that doesn't.

I don't have this problem real often, but it is often enough to want to change it permanently. Any help would be appreciated.

Question is not about the machine I'm using right now - so I haven't opened the "troubleshooting" window. The question is regarding my wife's old Vaio laptop with Windows Vista OS. It browses very slowly. We may want to use FireFox and possibly speed browsing. Uses Chrome now and will want to migrate tabs and favorites (etc).

Is this possible and might it make the system a little faster?

Currently, FireFox looks for all profiles, extensions, etc... under my home directory in "~/.mozilla".

My corporate work directory is network mounted to a very remote server and our routers can't keep up with the traffic. So I need a way to completely move the .mozilla directory to a local disk partition.

Google searches are only turning up how to move new profiles to a different directory. I'd really like to change the whole .mozilla directory.

Viewing these pages at suppose.mozilla.org in firefox 21, I can use the down key to scroll the down. However, this is not true for some web pages. For example, github pages :

pressing the down key no longer seems to scroll the page down. I've not tested it, but I'm fairly sure I used to be able to scroll with just the keyboard.

For some reason, starting about 10 days ago, I can no longer paste links into Facebook comment fields. I can paste text; but when I copy a link and try and paste it, nothing happens; it's as though I never copied the link.

1 - reloaded from the server 2 - cleared cookies 3 - disabled all extensions and restarted in safe mode

Nothing has helped.

I *can*, however, paste when I'm using Chrome, so it's almost certainly a Firefox issue (as compared to a Facebook problem).

I have tried to reset Firefox, ran Malawarebytes and Super Anti Spyware, ran Norton, and even tried by downloading TDSKILLER. Nothing is picking up this virus or getting rid of it. When I rest Firefox, it appears to go away; however. my PC runs slow. I did not get the toolbar or any adverse effect running IE though. Should I uninstall Firefox or will this make it just find another home in my laptop? Please help!

I think the problem started about one week ago when I upgraded to Firefox 28, at least I didn't notice this behavior before.

I'm using the addon Flashgot and the Free Download Manager to manage my downloads. However recently with certain servers (which I had been using regularly for years without issue) FDM would start the download but it would sit at 0% for a while and then just switch to pause on it's own. I got a message that's because the server only allows one download at a time and there was already a download going on which I didn't know anything about. I also noticed that even the servers that worked were downloading a lot slower than they did usually and web usage in general was slow. I checked what was going on with a program called Netbalancer which showed that Firefox was constantly using up lots of bandwidth even though there were no webpages or videos loading and there was nothing showing up in the integrated download manager. I tried to close Firefox but that didn't fix it either. The same amount of bandwidth was being used now listed by Netbalancer as Service Traffic.

That happens every time I download anything on the web. As soon as the download dialogue window comes up Firefox apparently already starts downloading the file in the background even if I decide to just close the window or use FDM instead. It doesn't show up in Firefox's download window and there is no way to stop the download other than doing a reboot or waiting till Firefox has finished downloading the file even if it takes several hours!

So far I've tried upgrading to Firefox 29, downgrading to 21 which I used before, deleting my Profile, doing a clean install of 21 and checking my system for malware with several tools but nothing helped. I also tried downloading the same files with Internet Explorer+FDM and it worked without problems.

Somehow ZoneAlarm has been added to Firefox. I removed ZoneAlarm from control panel and from Mozilla Firefox add-ons but it is still there. It may have been added when I downloaded a program call Living Cookbook.

From some weeks, after loading an update of Mozilla, all the marks in the window opened...and even your messages...are in English. If I can read and understand it, it's not the same for some of mines. I would like to get back to data ( like "file", "tolls" a.s.o ) and communications in French language and no more in English.

I have just downloaded the latest Java updates Version 7 update 25 build 1.7.0_25-b16 and all hell has broken loose with my FF.

Just a couple of examples are when I open the browser it opens as a full width strip across the top of the screen and I have to drag it down and shrink the size and instead of being able to start the browser from the Taskbar I seem to have all the tabs in a line when I click on the FF icon nothing opens.

All my previous tabs are no longer in the browser but seem to be hidden. I have disabled the 'Java content' in the 'Java Control Panel' but nothing seems to work. I have uninstalled and re-installed FF (version 21) but nothing seems to have sorted out the problem - I really need your help in simple easy to understand instructions to get my beloved FF back to a working state.

I am currently using Firefox 21. Since the 19, the "clear history" function in Firefox history menu has disappeared. So no way to click on it and clear history as desired, last hour...or everything. I have uninstalled and re-installed the browser several times no change. Only way to clear history is by deleting manually on the left side of the window after doing Ctrl+H. Is there any way to fix the browser?
