I'm a hobby-programmer not trained. My doc is local php file, saving calendar events to text files, run on localhost. The field in question is a line number on my calendar. Javascript uses that number to load another input with the calendar entry so I can confirm that it's the correct line before submitting it to PHP for deletion. I have unchecked 'Remember search and form history', ran 3 cleaners, restarted the computer and the data is (correctly) not displayed. But it is not deleted. When I rechecked 'Remember search and form history' the old input data comes back. If I change id, field name, javascript function name and variable names the history disappears but when I restore those names, the history is back. I want to know why that input can't be permanently deleted. Windows 10, Firefox 103.0.2 (64-bit)

Every time Firefox updates itself, all of the text and images and page layouts become huge. I have tried every single fix that is usually suggested for this issue:

Zoom out with scroll wheel: Makes text smaller (and images, if I disable zoom text only) but does not fix page layouts (ex. Google search still has a horizontal scroll bar, even in full screen.)

layout.css.devPixelsPerPx: No effect at all. Can be made bigger at values over 1.0, but not smaller.

Compact mode: Sizes down the toolbar, but nothing in the webpages themselves.

Refresh Firefox: Still huge.

Safe Mode: Still huge.

Disabled all extensions: Still huge.

Complete uninstall with all leftover system files removed with RevoUninstaller, then reinstall: Still huge.

Other browsers: Display correctly. Absolutely no issues with size, including Firefox forks like Librewolf. (See attached image for direct comparison between the two browsers.)

I can temporarily alleviate the issue by using a restore point on my computer from about a week ago but when I opened Firefox this morning, it bumped me to an update page, and everything was huge again.

I was previously using a non-native screen resolution while I was recovering from surgery in bed and the screen was too far to see at 1920x1080. But I did not have this problem for two months of recovery. It started just a couple days ago. Returning the screen to its native resolution has not resolved the issue. Firefox, and only Firefox, is still enormous.

Firefox just changed.

For over a decade I had a Bookmarks tab on my Bookmark menu, and now that's gone away. I have that whole setup very keenly arranged with folders-in-folders and now I either have to futz with several more buttons than I used to, or do a pop-up window with Ctrl+Shift+O to manage bookmarks when all I want to do is go to my bookmarks menu as before, select the right folder-in-folder, and then "Open all Tabs."

How do I get a Bookmarks icon to click as before without going into another menu for do the Manage Bookmarks when I don't need to manage anything? Speed and accuracy is important, and this is neither fast nor accurate without that icon/tool.

Hi I use my Firefox account on my personal computer and on my own computer on a server at work. Since my Firefox was updated to most recent version, I have not been able to save any passwords on Firefox on my server site. I tried adding a primary password using Firefox while on the local station, but it is not functional. Every time I open any new page to where I have an account, I have to reenter my Primary password before signing in to the site. I have since disabled this feature as it is not working for me. Firefox seems to be working fine on the local station at work and on my personal computer at home.

My Computer service tech for the server is unable to resolve this. I have also consulted a computer tech in the community who has not been able to solve it. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox twice. We have gone through a multitude of settings on the Firefox site. I am able to save the passwords without issue if I use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.

I am looking for someone who can give me guidance on what settings I many need to change. I simply want to be able to enter my user name and password for the common sites that I use, ask Firefox to store them so I do not have to retype them every time.

Thank you, Shelley B

Its really annoying that these kind of tabs get opened automatically, and then I have to switch back. Is there a way to disable this autoswitch or better, let the authentication happen automatically since the password is already stored ?

I have recently set Outlook Mail to send desktop notifications when email is received. This works when the setting is on. However I have noticed twice in 3 days the setting has been turned off- but not by me! This is unacceptable. I would be grateful if you can advise me of anything I can do to ensure that when I change a setting/preference in FF that it stays changed until I select a different setting myself. In the case of email it is important as may miss something important. Thank you,

I have the option 'Show editor when saving' checked, so I'm getting the bookmark editor popup window when I want to save a bookmark .

However, more often than not, a bookmark is being saved without me clicking the Save button .

My understanding is that it's a feature of sorts, but it's driving me bonkers, and I just can't remember what I need to do to not save a bookmark - hit esc. , click the star button again, use the keyboard shortcut, or whatever it is . Nor do I care to be frank, I really just want Firefox to not save a bookmark without confirmation , which I thought would be the main point of having the optional editor window .

Is there any way to disable autosave for bookmarks completely ? Sorry about the rant, it's just so unintuitive and annoying, and I'm tired of cleaning out my bookmark folders all the time ...

I have gone into to settings and unchecked the auto fill and Ask to save logins and passwords for websites. That did nothing. I do not want any pages to auto login but I would like to be able to select a user name an password when I go to enter a webpage that requires one. Having the Auto login is a hug security issue for me. Can you please help.

Every time I launch Firefox a message appears on the top right corner asking to update with the following text: "Update available Download the latest version of Firefox"

I have never followed this message for I've suspected fake, but it keeps appearing, and every time more and more often along the day (at the beginning it was only once per launch). This keeps occurring in spite of updating to the latest Firefox update (103.0.2) through the "About Firefox" top left menu on my Mac.

Please advise how to get rid of this annoying message. Is this a potential hack or virus attack?

In Settings, I have configured "When using the address bar, suggest..." to use my Bookmarks, and nothing else.

Let's say I have a bookmark for the URL: https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/products/

If I start typing "moz", that bookmark appears in the suggestions, but the autocomplete also offers me the domain's "home" URL, https://www.mozilla.org.

I don't have that "home" URL bookmarked, so I don't want it to be suggested to me - as I told Firefox when I set "Bookmarks" as the only source of suggestions. Often when trying to navigate quickly to a bookmarked page, I assume that autocomplete will be giving me my bookmarked page, and end up accidentally going to the "home URL" instead.

So is there a setting that lets me keep my bookmark suggestions, but disable this "autocomplete with home URL" behaviour?

This isn't specific to mozilla.org: that URL was just an example.

Dear firefox support team,

Since yesterday I've been having twitter act oddly on my on my main twitter account, but only using firefox. It keeps being on the 'try again' option window as if the wifi isn't working properly, whilst the Wifi is okay.

It keeps giving me the 'https://twitter.com/?failedScript=main' address too. And I can't think about what Script might be running into an issue. I have access normally on my android phone and google chrome. Doing a 'safe' restart didn't help either, and disabling my extension carried no result either.

I figure, since I can log in on other platforms this might not be a twitter issue, but well, I'm asking here to be sure.

I put an image of the screen I get in the attachments

Thank you

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at www.cdc.gov.

If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

   Try again later.
   Check your network connection.
If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

Hi, I am trying to understand why my exceptions (blocked web sites) keep deleting and or when I delete cookies the exception are also removed? I apply several web sites to be always blocked, but every time I go back to add another or check. They have been removed. Also if I tick the delete cookies when closed. That also deletes the exceptions. Why would it do this?

Why on earth would I continue to re-enter the same several exceptions every time I open Firefox?

Am I missing something else in the settings? And yes I always click on save changes.

Thank you for your time. Doc
