I have been loading my work space via a batch file everyday for the past 4 years.

One of the apps I start is Firefox using the following command:
@start /D"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\" firefox.exe

My batch file would run, and close with no issue.

As of Firefox 15, using the same command now ties Firefox to the console. When I close the console, Firefox closes, when I open it again from the standard shortcut, I get the "Firefox has crashed"

I also notice that since upgrading to Firefox 15, some console.log calls go to the Windows Console while firefox is loading. Most notably is HTTPSEverywhere.

When I rolled back to Firefox 14, the issue disappeared

Previously I was successfully running Firefox 13.0.5 ( 32-bit version) on the 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux v6.2.

I need to use a 32-bit Firefox because I need to use a 32-bit eclipse.exe and various other 32-bit tools on this 64-bit environment.

Today the RHEL v6.2 got upgraded to v6.3.

Now firefox 13.0.5 (32-bit) will not start, it gives this message: Error: Platform version '10.0.5' is not compatible with minVersion >= 13.0 maxVersion <= 13.0

Note: the RHEL 6.3 has a 64-bit Firefox 10.0.5 (but I am explicitly starting the 32-bit Firefox 13.0.5 via /opt/firefox13/firefox. --- How do I get the32-bit Firefox 13.0.5 running again ?

I've had this persistent problem of Shockwave Flash crashing my system and causing an automatic reboot of my PC as soon as I try to play any flash videos (no matter which browser, actually). However, as long as I keep my flash at version 10.1 and don't update it, it works okay. The problem is, how long can I keep it like this before some future tweak of general website flash sites prevents even this from working???

I want to know if there's a fix so that I can install future versions of the Shockwave Flash plugin and actually get it to work so I don't have to use such an antiquated version of Flash anymore (gag, even though I say this, I loath Flash, it's so clunky in any version, I wish websites would switch to some other video standard already).

If anyone has an answer, please let me know. (My computer runs Windows XP with Firefox 12, by the way. Oh, and I'd love it if there was a way to get Firefox to work on the iPad, Safari is such a bare-bones, childish browser, it has almost no useful add-ons or personalized functionality at all.)

Every time pull up youtube in Firefox it immediately freezes or hangs the entire browser. the only thing I can do is close down Firefox via the task manager. This happens every single time. It used to work fine. I've even disable accelerate video. Nothing seems to work. The only time it kind of works is when I uninstall and reinstall firefox and/or flash player. Then the very first time I pull up youtube it will work great but when I close down the browser then reopen it and go to youtube, I have the same exact problem as before.

Firefox will pull up youtube with no problem when I uninstall the flashplayer (of course can't see videos then) but once it's installed youtube freezes.

Also Internet Explorer pulls up youtube videos great, just like Firefox used to do. Don't know what's wrong or what's happened but youtube immediately freezes or hangs Firefox when flashplayer is installed in firefox

hi all

Pretty straight forward (I hope):

Currently using Firefox 31.0 on windows 7 64 bit home premium.

Just realised that I've got about 20 sets of pending crash reports (.dmp and .extra) located here:

...AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\pending

Date-range is Feb to Aug 2014, so presumably applies to approx firefox versions 29-31.

Is there a way to force / request submission of these reports?

I have no particular desire to delete them - they don't take up much HD space.

However, there's no point in keeping them if I can't trigger a submission process.

Also, I would like to contribute to bug-resolution by proving the reports.

Btw, I think they are probably mostly Flash related.

This is not just a whinge. The Flash plugin seems to fall over quite frequently (for me anyway) - certainly appears the only one I can rely on to misbehave! I checked the top plugin crash submissions too for the last 28 days on mozilla's crash-stats (filtering on FF 31 and windows)... and... the top 3 entries, which account for 55% of all plugin crashes, appear all to be flash related lol (gJ adobe) ;)

Anyway, if anyone can tell me how to submit these pending reports, I'd be grateful.

Regards,

Gary

PS I noticed, when providing FF's troubleshooting info for this post, that I got a crash report submission (automatically) about 15 mins ago... and one pair of files has disappeared from my Pending folder.

Do I just have to be patient then? I use FF a lot, so don't really understand what circumstances trigger the report submission (i.e. it's not a question of just having FF open / active).

Thanks again for any assistance rendered.

Recently (maybe since v14) the firefox starts to crash every time i close it. I debugged and found it can be solved if i don't install a certain extension or if i reset the preference by removing the preference directory. But when updated to 15.0, the firefox repeats the problem again and again, even it runs in the safe mode without any extension or i remove the .mozilla/ directory in my home directory totally. In addition, i tried to uninstall and reinstall firefox, but the problem remains. Any one shares the same problem or has any suggestion? thanks a lot.

I have been using Firefox for several years with no problems. I have had my current laptop for 1 and a half years and have had no problems until about 2 months ago. Now Firefox crashes after only a few seconds several times (maybe 15-20 times) and then the interval between crashes tends to increase. I googled for help, and nothing has worked. I am still using Firefox 3.6.24 because when I upgrade to the latest version Firefox freezes while it is loading and it locks up my PC. At least with Firefox 3.6.24, I can get around to using it, although it is very frustrating wiwth all the crashes.

This is the link to the latest crash report submitted:

  2478ec0b-1112-4ba8-929e-78a97a7a5e96

While I have your attention, is there any way I can get Firefox to stop asking me if I want to update my version. I am getting sick and tired of having to say 'NO' (for the reasons above).

One day, I opened the browser after starting up my computer, but it didn't open properly and froze. I did "alt+ctrl+del" and closed the browser, but when I tried opening it again, it showed: "Well, this is embarrassing. Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page. You can try: - Removing one or more tabs that you think may be causing the problem - Start an entirely new browsing session

[Restore] [Start new session]"

It won't let me click on either Restore, or Start new session, because the application is still frozen and the disc (I have Windows 7) in place of the carsol is twirling.

I've tried shutting the computer down once and restarting it, doing "ctrl+alt+del" multiple times, but it is repeatedly the same thing.

I am not able to try in Safe Mode, because there is no Firefox button at the top of the window (the screen looks like it is in full screen mode).
