I'm posting this again because I really need help! Also because I'm afraid I messed something up by replying to my own question. But I kept getting the "A copy of Firefox is already open" error, so I deleted one of the two profiles that I found. Apparently I chose the wrong one, and now all of my bookmarks are gone. I DID click something that said NOT to remove all my information (bookmarks, etc) so there must be a way to get it back, but how? I really only care about the bookmarks. Also want to mention that I'm on Mac, not Windows. I tried something called Recuva but I can't run .exe files on my Mac.

There should be an option to permanently delete specific dates (all bookmarks associated with a specific date) from the list of dates under the "restore bookmarks" option. I want to get rid of the bookmarks associated with several dates, but there is no way to do this unless I can delete the date (or dates) from the list.Otherwise, I cannot delete the objectionable bookmarks associated with those dates. Why not include a delete option when selecting a specific date? Firefox version 92.0.

I used to be able until very recently go to MENU > LIBRARY>Bookmarks: which would 'split' giving me three (?) choices, one of which was showing a bookmark side bar. I seem to not have that choice any longer ... or do I and I just don't know how to select it? Thank you.

With the annoying new Update from FF89 is besides everything almost 1 color (what can be fixed by changing the protons to false) The bookmarks are only outlined Very annoying and harder to see!!! how can i change it to filled again?.. can not find it in about:config

My old laptop's motherboard crashed. I was using Firefox. I have the old hard drive. How do I get the old Firefox Bookmarks, etc. to my new Firefox? Where/ what folder is this located? What do I cut/ paste?

Been with Firefox a long time with no problems. Recent update of Firefox. Now cannot login to SKY a/c on FF. Only SKY, all other links on tool bar work, only SKY is access denied. Contacted SKY team, helpful, line / router all OK. No VPN active. Have deleted SKY link, cache, history, cookies etc and reinstalled - same issue. SKY login works on Edge though, or, via e-m client. Problem is solely with SKY log in and solely Firefox. SKY unable to find an issue. Message is Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://skyid.sky.com/signin/7b613a2768747470733a2f2f7777772e736b792e636f6d2f272c623a2768747470733a2f..." on this server. Which is Error 288 Any thoughts?

A 2nd shortcut version to my credit card website has appeared spontaneously when I open Firefox. I have not clicked it, and I am unable to delete it. In the attached pic, the problem icon is titled "secure01a.chase. How did it get there and how can I remove it?

I had an arrow on the right side of my FF Toolbar for "Other Bookmarks". Recently it went missing. I have many bookmarks under that heading, and can get to them through the Bookmarks Manager, but no arrow on the Toolbar. How can I get it back?

Hello, I accidentally removed my "save bookmark" star (that turns blue when a page is saved) in the address bar. I know there are other ways to save a bookmark but I want it restored as it was. What should I do for that? Thank you.

Good afternoon. My Firefox has been updated to the new version but I noticed that the font size in my bookmarks dropdown menu has increased. I would prefer to make it smaller as it used to all fit in one column without the need to scroll. Could someone tell me how, or if this can be done with the new version? I'm running Mojave on an Imac. I have just installed Firefox 2, updating from an older Firefox. All bookmarks are saved in a bookmarks backup .jsonlz4 file in the original Firefox Profiles folder on the Mac. I have done Import & Backup / Restore / Choose file to no avail. Nothing happened, and there are no bookmarks under the bookmark dropdown on the new Firefox browser.

The path to the Profiles backup folder runs through several levels of hidden folders. Using Terminal, I've managed to unhide all but one stubborn Library folder that is preventing me from navigating to the Profiles backup file to select it for restoration. I managed to unhide the backup file itself and save a copy to the desktop. I'm guessing that the desktop copy is not going to help me, because I'll need the path to point back to the Profiles folder.

I'm stumped. How can I transfer these bookmarks to Firefox 2? It shouldn't be this hard.

Today, when I had turned on my pc, apparently Firefox had updated (?) my browser and ALL of my bookmarks are gone!?? I had copied my bookmarks from my other pc that had Windows 7 onto my new pc that has Windows 11 several months ago and haven't had any issues (with the bookmarks) - until today. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
