I had an arrow on the right side of my FF Toolbar for "Other Bookmarks". Recently it went missing. I have many bookmarks under that heading, and can get to them through the Bookmarks Manager, but no arrow on the Toolbar. How can I get it back?

All of a sudden, my bookmarks ( and other bookmarks) are double spaced. This just happened today and I didn't make any changes. How do I get rid of the double spacing ? Thank you.

Hi, In these last days, I deleted a bookmark folder or something by error. Then I found some daily backups, and I restored from the last one backup.

The next issue was that the following daily backups have less bookmarks, and doing some testing, it appears the Daily backups, now, are not including "Other Bookmarks".

It has less entries from now on.

I want to know if there is a bug, or something changed by itself. How can I fix that?

I updated my firefox to the latest version : Version 92.0 Now in Bookmarks Toolbar (Show more bookmarks) i have a problem about double Space between bookmarks. This is really really annoying. How can i fix that double space issue?

I tried browser.proton.contextmenus.enabled > false (disables Proton UI of context menus) Did not work for me.

After last update where the bookmarks bar was is now just a message as shown below saying to place bookmarks here but won't display prior ones or let me add new ones. Also, the >> on the right side that showed a dropdown of them is gone.

In trying to fix a Mozilla VPN problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox as directed by VPN support. Now Firefox has lost its bookmarks. Can they be recovered? If so, how?

I have a Dell Windows 10 laptop. I read that the Firefox bookmarks are stored in the places.sqlite database. I deleted places,sqlite from the Old Firefox Data> vs1vf21j.default-1591989997105 folders, but when I opened my Firefox browser, the bookmarks were still there. Is this the place where bookmarks are stored?

Good afternoon. My Firefox has been updated to the new version but I noticed that the font size in my bookmarks dropdown menu has increased. I would prefer to make it smaller as it used to all fit in one column without the need to scroll. Could someone tell me how, or if this can be done with the new version? Thanks and hope to hear back soon.

The latest version has been loaded onto my PC. The list of bookmarks, in the drop down menu, has increased in the spacing between the lines. Now my bookmarks list goes off the bottom of the screen, whereas before my bookmarks were all visible. Is there a simple way of reducing the gap between the lines, the font size is OK.

I have been a loyal Firefox user for umpteen years – but no more! Without asking, my browser updated to version 89, and immediately, I didn’t like it. It looked washed out, difficult to tell the difference between tabs (I routinely have 30+ tabs open at once), plus it was slower. The biggest “peeve” was when I tried to enter a Google search question in the “Search” box, but Firefox kept jumping up the URL bar. Gawd I hate that! That did it! I decided to revert back to version 88 but you decided you would “punish” me for my decision. I lost all my bookmarks, passwords and preferences. I am a computer support volunteer and I work primarily with senior citizens, however I try to help anyone who needs my help. When I setup a new computer for a client, I usually install Firefox and Chrome, explaining that many people do not like the default browser that comes with Windows. From this point on, I will no longer recommend nor install Firefox. You lost a customer today. Congratulations.

I was really angry that there seems to be no way to actually send an email "TO" Mozilla. Instead, they depend on you volunteers to take the heat for them. If you know of anyway to actually get this information to them, I would appreciate it.

Firefox 91 no longer remembering frequently used bookmarks how can I go back to Firefox 90 keeps updating although update is OFF then all settings and bookmarks are lost

I needed to have Windows 10 wiped and reinstalled from my laptop, and the guy who did it cloned my files to save everything. I saw instructions on another post on how to find the bookmarks file under Profile, but it didn't do anything after confirming that it would wipe out all current bookmarks. What am I doing wrong?

‘Why can't I bookmark a URL that leads directly to a PDF any more? The favorites star no longer displays in the address bar. I click on the link, the PDF opens but no ability to bookmark it!

Since upgrading to Firefox 99.0.1 when I bookmark a web page into a specific folder, the URL does not appear when I open that folder. A restart of Firefox does not fix the issue.

But if I try to Bookmark the same page again, I am asked to edit it. So it must be in the folder but it is not visible! Help!

Prior to today, occasionally I would need to restore from a Time Machine backup the files "places.sqlite", "places.sqlite-shm", and "places.sqlite-wal" into my default profile, because I would lose my bookmarks & history.

However, beginning this morning, that procedure did not work. Every time I open up Firefox, the "places.sqlite" file would corrupt immediately and no attempt at restoring (from any backup date/time) would fix the issue.

I am running Mac OS 11.7.2 (Big Sur) and Firefox 111.0.

This is VERY frustrating, because I rely heavily on my bookmarks and passwords.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I installed the IDM addon and it caused my browser to revert back to an earlier version, thus corrupting my places and favicons files and causing me to lose five years worth of history. I have sqlite3 and I have tried seeking help from many different places, but I'm a neophyte when it comes to command line stuff and a lot of the information I have come across is either impertinent to those specific files, outdated, or has dead links. At this point, I'm willing to give the files to someone more tech savvy than I am so that they can fix them for me if I have to.

Please help me, either through instructions, or through direct repairs. If it's not possible, I can sync with my other devices and import six months worth of largely similar browsing history, but I'd rather it not come to that.

With the annoying new Update from FF89 is besides everything almost 1 color (what can be fixed by changing the protons to false) The bookmarks are only outlined Very annoying and harder to see!!! how can i change it to filled again?.. can not find it in about:config
