Recently, I updated Firefox (as it regularly bothers me to do so) and it added an annoying new feature that appears whenever I type anything into the address bar. It used to just provide search suggestions from my list of bookmarks, but now below the list of search options is a separate segment with "This time, search with:" followed by multiple icons--in my case, Google (my default browser), bookmarks, tabs, history, and settings. And you know how when you're sometimes typing something you want to find and the desired result is toward the bottom of the list, so instead of pressing the down arrow key to get to it, you press the up arrow to start from the end…well now, when I try that on the address bar, it cycles through each icon before letting me get to the list's end.
I know it sounds like a petty complaint, but it's annoying and inconvenient to have to do it each and every time since it's habitual to cycle from top to bottom or vice versa on basically every other search bar. I went the route of "Settings > Options > Search > Search Shortcuts" to see if I could get rid of these icons, but just like how it doesn't let you get rid of search engines when you only have one on the list, it doesn't give you an option to remove these superfluous icons.
These Mozilla dumbasses seem to lack foresight and/or consideration with the way they limit user preferences. Can anybody give me any alternative solutions? Please spare me the snide answers like "switch to Chrome" (already considering it). If there's a way to simply circumvent these icons in the address bar rather than getting rid of them entirely, that would be more that enough: I just don't know how to go about it. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read my submission/rant.

It happened that I worked with an online workbook for classes that I have a subscription for. By mistake I pressed a keyboard shortcut (regrettably I don't remenber it, otherwse I would simply repeat the shortcut), and the content turned by 90 degrees. But not all of the content. The toolbar of the workbook ist still in the same position as it should be.
My suspicion is that the workbook simply is a PDF and that only the embedded PDF turned but not the whole browser window? Has anybody an idea of what to do?
Thank you!
How can I tell what is causing the mixed content? If I do a view source everything is https: and not http: Could it be caused by another page?
Thanks

Hello,I have Windows XP 32 bit with service pack 3 and Firefox 52.9.1 ESR browser. Now that adobe flash player is history I can't play videos online that are not on youtube. I can still watch youtube videos.
Is there a HTML5 video player or something else I can install on this old system that will work or is that not possible? I know it's an old system but it still does the job.
Thanks.

Why does the Firefox print button launch the save window? When I open an attachment from an email to print, the print button automatically wants to save the document as a PDF. If you try to open the PDF after being saved, it will launch the printer function on my MacBook Pro.
I have tried the procedures in the "Fix Printer Problem" article, which does not resolve the problem. If I refresh Firefox, the print button will work for a few days and then reverts to saving files.
I have removed and redownloaded Firefox multiple times, and I get the same results. I have used Firefox for quite a while and never had this problem. This issue is something that has started about two months ago.

Hi.
When logged in to google (e.g., gmail) in one firefox tab, I am them auto-logged in to that same google account in any new tab or window I open. Is there a way to stop this?
I would like to be able to have one tab logged in to a google product (e.g., gmail, google calendar, youtube), but retain a "blank slate" when I open new tabs or windows, so that I can browse anonymously or log in to multiple different accounts (google or otherwise).
I have privacy badger and HTTPS everywhere installed in firefox, have set the browser to block all third party cookies, and to never remember history (high security settings across the board) . I tried enabling Multi-Account Containers, but I'm not sure how to use it and also suspect it is a more complicated functionality than I actually need.
I would imagine there has to be a way to "break" the connection between multiple open tabs or windows. Thanks!

I got since yesterday error F7121-1331 when I try to stream any movie on Netflix.
Netflix support said it's related to firefox. They said to uptodate firefox but I have already latest version (86.0).
Only other solution according to them, is to use an other naviguator. And, well, it works with Chrome, so it seems really related to firefox.

Yesterday Firefox, which I've used for years, suggested that I refresh. So I did. It created an "Old Firefox Data" folder. The newly refreshed Firefox had none of my bookmarks, etc., so I tried to add them by calling up the site and pressing Control+D, clicking on the star, etc. Nothing worked. Then I tried to add "Top Sites" to the opening page of the browser, putting in the name and URL. That didn't work either. Then I went to look at the suggestions on the Mozilla site as to what to do, either to allow the current version of Firefox to accept Top Sites & Bookmarks, or to reinsert the Old Firefox Data. I found the relevant pages but could make no sense of them. The recommendations are infinitely beyond my computer capacities, but even the simplest suggestions, like 'open the Old Firefox Data folder, highlight the items contained therein, right click, and press Copy' were unhelpful, since when I right-clicked, the menu that came up didn't include "Copy." Should I uninstall Firefox and download anew? I'm using Windows 7 and Firefox of approximately the same vintage. (Alas) I am also of a generation that remembers when electric typewriters were the big new thing, so I'm going to need very very simple instructions. . . . Many thanks, DKS

Everytime I start up Firefox Nightly in fully maximized. The tab area as you can see in the picture provided shows like that all kinda glitched out in the tab area until I either move firefox around again or remaximize firefox to fix it. It only happens when firefox is left maximized when I close it and then reopen the browser but doesnt happen when it's not maximized. I hope we can figure this issue out and sorry if it's not in the right topic. I'm thinking it has something maybe to do with the skeleton UI thing? It doesn't happen on any other version of Firefox.

I tried deleting cache, refreshing the browser, creating a new account, running without add-ons or plugins, without success. Switching off the enhanced tracking protection doesn't help either. I am running out of options...
The only thing I can think off, is that the browser was installed with admin rights that I do not have anymore, although it still updates without errors.
Can anyone help?

I've had to use Edge on the occasions that I CAN'T use my mobile for the task; printing shipping labels, downloading a better art program, that sort of thing. I'd really rather NOT use Edge at all, thanks.
