Hi, I have an issue with making the separators in the bookmark toolbar drop-downs visible. I am running Firefox 95 with the Quantum - dark Blue theme installed. I am running Linix Mint Uma.

The dropdown have separator - space - but no line showing that there is a separator. I have tried many ways to make the separators visible and with light-grey colouring in the userChrome.css file but nothing changes.

Anybody have any idea what can be done or where I might change the Quantum-DarkBlue coding to incorporate the visible separators?

Hi All, thanks for any help;

My issue is, I transfer a lot of long Word-97 generated text to various web-forums, which contain simple formatting (bold, italics, paragraph spacing, varied 'forum supported' fonts). When the text is copied, all the formatting is stripped in Firefox and only pasted as plain text.

Is there a way to copy and paste a document's text so the formatting is not removed?

p.s.: this is a browser issue, older browsers--like IE-11--copy the information fine (they have some paragraph vs. line issues (now, which is likely forum side), but otherwise work fine.)

Hi,

There's a lot of websites where I cannot see Polish / Latin signs (ąęóżćź) etc.. I don't have any addons enables. Also refreshed firefox to default and updated to newest version, nothing helps here. Also don't have any additional keyboards installed.

Hi II am a relative computer novice and I am confused by the concept of deleting cache and cookies.

I am having trouble with Firefox browser on Vanguard website. I was told to clear my cache and/or cookies.

I don't currently store any Vanguard passwords on my computer.

However, I’m afraid that if I clear cache or clear cookies I will inadvertently remove the passwords for all my other websites.

Is there a way to clear cache and clear cookies without deleting passwords?

I believe this started with 94.0.2 but could be 94.0.1. Looking at various things in Easysnews.com, for instance thumbnails, the title for that item used to change from blue (Unvisted Links) to brown (Visited Links) and keep the brown color until I exited Easynews. Now it does not. In another case, looking at my list of favorite groups, the group name will turn brown as long as my mouse is over it but it will not stick if I select that item.

I am not using system colors and Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above is set to Only With High Contrast themes. I tried the other two choices but they really created a mess.

I have also tried deleting any easynews cookies to no effect.

I use Firefox (94.0.2) on a Macbook Pro (using MacOS 11.6.1) and went to log in to Twitter this evening and had a strange result. I only occasionally view Twitter using my laptop and I use my email address and a password to log in. When I clicked in the field that reads "Phone, user name or email" I expected to see the Firefox autofill to show my email address, but instead it shows the name "Farha Hussain" (see screenshot image).

I checked my Firefox preferences for Saved Logins and I have my email address and password for Twitter saved there, but no mention of Farha Hussain (my name is Keith). I tried other websites to see if I could recreate the issue and couldn't. I visited the Twitter login form using Chrome and Safari and neither suggested Farha Hussain as a user name, so I think that this is something specific to Firefox on the Twitter website.

To make this an even more unusual situation, the only "Farha Hussain" that I know is a doctor in my city who I have been meaning to contact to see if she is accepting patients, but haven't yet done so. Her name is in my Mac Calendar and that's the only place I can think of on my computer (not in contacts or anywhere else). How this would be connected to a Twitter login is beyond my understanding.

Let me know if you would like additional information or screenshots.

Just recently, past few days, my Firefox desktop browser will not display real time quotes & trades for Binance.US. Microsoft Edge does display correctly. I then went to wife's computer and it has the same Firefox problem and the same correct display with Edge. I have deleted cookies, cache, & history to no correction. I opened Firefox in safe troubleshooting mode and the problem persists. Yahoo, Coindesk, & other sites quotes do display in real time; however, Binance.us will not in Firefox version 94.0.1.

Since the last 3 updates I have not been able to get Firefox to display peoples reviews on certain sites like Cabelas.ca. when I use other browsers there is no issue. I much prefer Firefox over chrome but I have to use Chrome in order to read any reviews on products. Is this a browser issue or during the updates did something change that I am not seeing?

I noticed it has some enterprise policies and in the settings page it says "your browser is managed by your organization"

Well. When I get more into the settings I saw two active enterprise policies just like this: ///

DisableAppUpdate true DontCheckDefaultBrowser true

And couldn't find a way to manage these policies. Is there a way to remove that? I use Linux Debian 10 on Chromebook.

Maybe sometime in the past week or so, I began noticing an issue on the New York Times website. I am able to load most articles there normally, but some, marked with a 'live' button for certain types of rapidly updated topics (e.g. election day vote updates or the like) won't load. https://www.nytimes.com/live/2021/11/02/us/election-news?action=click&pgtype=Article&state=default&module=styln-elections-2020&region=TOP_BANNER&context=election_recirc This is an example of such a page. I click them and just get white space. I normally use a private browser tab for all webpages but it still doesn't load if I use the normal page rather than an in-private window. I would appreciate any help. Let me know if there is any other information I can provide to help people help me. I may need to be walked through some suggestions. I am using version 94 on Linux Mint as of today, and up until today was using whatever the immediately previous version available for Mint was. The described behavior happened on both versions, if that is relevant.

fb purity has been updated for Chrome and Edge and IE. the developer is waiting for Firefox to do the update. I use it and like it but it does not do all the things it does on other browsers because it is not updated. I think the developer of fb purity is waiting for firebox to update or give him the code or whatever you have to do to make it work. I like the extension but like i said It does not do what it does and when it removes on the other browsers .I like and have used Firefox for years and do not want to use any other browser So I am asking please allow this extension to update on Firefox. I have spent almost an hour trying to solve this and have come out empty handed and frustrated. Firefox must've updated recently and changed things so that my bookmark dropdown menu is gone. Now, when I want to access a bookmark, I have to click on "manage bookmarks" which opens a new library window and I have to then find it in there. It's a lot more time consuming and inefficient. Used to just be able to scroll down after one click of the bookmark menu.

I've searched other answers to this problem, many of which involved people's bookmarks being stored in the "other bookmarks" folder and being told to move them into the "bookmarks menu" folder which would cause them to dropdown. I've tried moving them into all 3 folders: Bookmarks Menu, Other bookmarks, and bookmarks toolbar, and there is no change. Here is a screenshot of what I see when I open my bookmarks:

• To clarify, the "recent bookmarks" that shows up is of no interest to me and would also like to remove that. I don't want a dropdown of recent bookmarks, I want a dropdown of ALL bookmarks.

I've used this metronome for years on Firefox, but now I get no sound. The metronome seems to be running, but it makes no sound. Help!

Many web pages provide hyperlinks to their audio streams using M3U or M3U8 files.

These hyperlinks are served via HTTP because popular media players, like Windows Media Player or WinAmp, don't support HTTPS.

Currently, Firefox refuses to download files via HTTP (see image attached).

I always need to manually unlock those files in order to listen to audio streams. This is rather cumbersome.

Is there a setting available unlocking downloads from HTTP sources?

Firefox cannot connect to any academic journal websites (Google Scholar, JSTOR, SIAM, ScienceDirect, etc.). It can load any other type of website that I've tried. These sites can be opened on a different browser on the same computer. Things I've tried: -Disabling add-ons (starting Firefox in safety mode and trying to open these websites) -Clearing cache/cookies -Making sure time/date on my system is correct I do not have any third-party antivirus installed and use Windows Defender. I have also: -Performed a full scan to try to detect malware This is a relatively recent issue, as I was able to access these websites in the past. I am truly confused as to why such a specific type of content suddenly cannot be accessed and would appreciate any help.

I tried to refresh Firefox but it just kept saying almost done and never stops When I move my mouse pointer over the Firefox Icon to open the browser it says Firefox (4). It takes too longer before the browser opens. Should I uninstall and reinstall Firefox?

Hi all I have scoured the articles but found no solution to this. I reinstalled Firefox on my Mac, and somehow deleted all previous profiles. I did not have 'sync' enabled, nor a FF account.

I have found a places.sqlite file on my backup external hard drive. But my current profile has an places.sqlite file already. Can I merge them??? Or can I only replace?

When downloading my Audible Library via Firefox (latest update) tha downloaded fies in AAX format, are appearing in my Downloads Folder as .MP4 format. Convertion to MP3 works, but is messy. I`m informed by Audible Support that the fault lies with Mozzilla.! Regards, Tony Jackson

I said yes to add Dark Reader and my background turned black. Hard to read. I tried to disable it but can't find it. Please give me specific instructions to disable Dark Reader on an iMAC. Thank you.
